    Marcel was amazing! Steak frites with bernaise, steak tartare, salad Marcel - all delicious! Servers Todd and Alison were very attentive and knowledgeable - recommendations on food/cocktail were spot on!

    It’s literally just normal food with way too much cheese and salt. Then a $200 Price tag on everything

    Marcel is an above average steak house in Atlanta, but it is not the best, in spite of its hubristic and indulgent price points. Decor, ambiance, cocktails and wine are compelling. Service pleasant and above average. My compliments to Vino, the sommelier, who was affable, pleasant and knowledgeable. Steaks, which are the main driver, are *good* but not great, certainly not worth the price point. If you’re looking for a selfie or social media foray, by all means indulge. If visiting from otp or out of town it *might* be worth the splurge. Corporate types and entertainers will probably enjoy. However, if you’re a pure carnivore, go to Bones, which provides superior steaks at a better price point, and an unmatched level of service, Along with a formidable selection of libations. I have enjoyed marcel in the past; this was our first visit in 2 years. It’s unlikely that we will return in the future.

    What a phenomenal experience! Five out the six in my party ordered steak and to a person we all got up the next morning talking about the steak the night before!!

    First and last time at Marcel. Very disappointing as it was our first time, and we were celebrating a birthday. We were seated a half hour after our reservation, and we only got seated by reminding them we were there. The hostess was rude and condescending when we told her we were there for my birthday, and she said, “We don’t do that here,” whatever that means. Not welcoming at all and her attitude alone set the tone in a very negative way. The waitress, while much nicer and welcoming than the hostess, asked if we had any allergies. We informed her of a shellfish allergy, and she proceeded to recommend a shrimp apppetizer and to top our steaks with shellfish. Really wanted to try the veal parmesan, and was told they were out of veal at 8:30 on Saturday night. Wasn’t in the mood for steak as a friend of mine told me how spectacular the veal parmesan was, so went with the fish of the day. The halibut was so dry, I couldn’t cut it with a fork. Inedible. The potatoes dauphinois were so salty they were hard to eat, but they were marginally better than the fish. The sommelier was one of the only bright spots as he was very helpful and recommended a wonderful wine. Not a good sign when the best parts of the meal were the bread service and the creme brulee, to which they added a candle for my birthday. So I guess they do do that here. Totally over-rated, over-priced for the quality, and totally disapointing after looking forward to this night for over a month. DEFINITELY not worth the over $400 for the two of us we wasted on a Saturday night. The overall experience ruined what should have been a wonderful birthday dinner.

    Xavier was fantastic, so was Laura. Food was very good, but the Dauphinoise was too pungent for my liking. The Blueberry Pudding cake was mind blowing — get it, seriously. Ambiance was beautiful, we will definitely be back.

    Over seasoned steak. Not great side offerings. Too much salt. Oysters should be raw. The restaurant was a vibe and service great but over priced for the offering

    I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my boyfriend's birthday at Marcel, and I must say, the experience was exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable evening. I chose the Marcel 75 as his drink, which was refreshing and perfectly crafted. My boyfriend opted for a double of EH Taylor, which he thoroughly enjoyed. It was clear that the drink selection was of high quality, and the staff was knowledgeable about the offerings. For appetizers, we started with the sweet chili shrimp scampi and the Marcel salad. Both were delightful, with the shrimp being a standout dish that perfectly balanced sweetness and spice. For our main courses, I selected the bone-in filet monsieur while my partner went for the Cote De Boeuf. I must say, my steak was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection, while my partner also enjoyed his choice my steak won in terms of taste. We paired our meals with Pommes purée and roasted asparagus, which were just okay for my taste. I feel like there could be more variety in the side options to complement the fantastic mains. To finish off the evening, the birthday boy chose the blueberry butter cake, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel crumbles. As someone who isn't typically drawn to sweets, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was! Overall, the service at Marcel was top-notch, and the combination of delicious drinks, quality food, and the lovely ambiance made for a wonderful celebration. I would recommend Marcel to anyone looking for a great dining experience, with just a suggestion to expand their side options a bit. We will return just not in a rush.
