   My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday at Marcel. It was a lovely experience. All of the staff were very kind and wished him a happy birthday. The sommelier recommended an excellent bottle of wine (a cabernet/malbec blend that suited us both) that was not astronomically priced, though you can certainly find such bottles on the menu if you wish. Our servers were attentive, friendly, and kind enough to ask the kitchen if it was at all possible to order the Wellington without notice (we didn't check the menu ahead of time). Alas, it was not, but we both had beautiful medium rare filets that honestly didn't even need the bernaise I ordered in addition because the sea salt and hint of pepper alone were perfect. We also had the mushrooms and asparagus as sides, and I *highly* recommend the mushrooms especially; they were a delicious blend of wood ear, oyster, baby bella, etc., and I'd eat them as a meal by themselves. The amuse bouche (fry bread with whipped butter and speck) and dessert (vegan chocolate sorbet) were also excellent. A pricy experience to be sure but an absolutely wonderful one!

   Absolutely incredible experience. Rolled out the red carpet for our daughter’s 10th birthday! SJ is the absolute best! Can’t say enough. Wow!

   The restaurant was good, the Cote de Boeuf was excellent. the escargot were okay. Marcel Salad was okay, not enough blue cheese. seafood tower was hit and miss: shrimp were very good, scallopps were cut too thick, one type of oysters were very good from east coast, the gulf oysters were too big and chewy. Crab and lobster were very good, however, we had mentioned an allergy and they did not seperate it on the seafood tower, they did make it right at the end. The Manhantthan was one of the best i've had, and well worth the 46$. great wine list. service was well rounded and the team was approachable and efficient. would go back and try again!

   Catered to my vegan/vegetarian dietary restrictions very well!! Had a portobello steak for my entree and it was delicious!!

   It was a really nice restaurant that I would definitely recommend for anyone to come at some point. However, atleast for our first occasion coming for a birthday, it was definitely a lot less intimate than we both had expected. Intimate meaning, quieter, darker ambiance, and quieter and slower jazz music. But this was definitely not the occasion for that, but also not a demerit at all against it. We will definitely be coming back here for just celebratory or special occasions rather than dinner needing intimate time. And I would like to repeat, this isn’t a bad thing, it’s just like how different restaurants have different vibes. Furthermore, also contributing to its upbeat and lively atmosphere had to definitely do with the people as everyone seemed to be having a good time and was pretty talkative. This can be good or bad depending person to person. But it fits the vibe as stated before. Food was wonderful and not bad at all. Though the question of whether or not this restaurant is good or not definitely shouldn’t be factored in by food, as it is kinda given haha. Thank you for your time!!

   Everything was wonderful from the moment we walked in until we left. Food was exceptional and our server Ken went up and beyond to help celebrate my daughter’s 21st bday. We will definitely be back!

   Our first dining experience at Marcel's and food was an overall delicious with attentive service. Great to see a restaurant packed on a Tuesday evening. Will definitely return.

   We celebrated a special occasion my wife and I, first time there, it was a bit crowded, tables close together and a large crowd of 10-12 people so needless to say it was quite loud. The rooms were dimly lit so a bit dark but some like that. The food was ok and the French cuisine was a nice touch. However, I felt it was a bit overpriced. Overall though it was a good evening the service is very good and the servers quite attentive
