We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a weekend at chateau, it did not disappoint. Marc reservations was a nice addition as well. We were greeted with complimentary champagne in celebration of our anniversary which was a nice gesture. Fast seating, nice atmosphere. The food was overall ok. The experience was definitely worth it!
My wife and I had a get a away weekend and Chateau Elan and had an awesome dinner here.
Food was delicious and service terrific.
The staff do a great job and provide good service. The food was fresh, flavorful and fabulous tasty. The sound from the wine tasting area was a little loud.
The food was delicious and service was flawless. We enjoyed our dinner and will be repeat patrons.
Xmas holiday visit. Food was very good and service was excellent!
I was disappointed in the space, not much ambiance. The shrimp were undercooked, I should have sent back. The prices were high for what you got. I asked for a to go box for the raisin bread, which was the best part and after waiting and asking 2 times to different people, just left.
Enjoyed a lunch with my mom. This restaurant was not busy, great service Thank you Rachel. Food was tasty.
Made reservations a month in advance because we were celebrating a friend's milestone birthday. I made a notation on the reservation form online to indicate that, as well. Before we were seated, I mentioned that we had a birthday to the hostess, and she said they could put a candle in a dessert for us, and I assumed that the information would be relayed to our server. We were seated on the outside "heated" patio, and it was noticeably colder at our table than inside, but it looked like there were plenty of tables available inside. (The evening temp was in the 30's). Again, this reservation was made a month ago. There was also an odd "sewer type" odor in the air, especially on the patio.
The server took our drink orders, and we asked a few questions about the menu. She didn't know what a couple of the items were that we asked about, and wasn't sure exactly how the chicken was prepared or served (bone in or boneless, but thought she had seen a bone in the chicken).
Our food took an hour to arrive at the table, and was fine, but not the level that we thought it should be for a "fine dining" establishment. In the meantime, we were never asked if we'd like additional drinks or glasses of wine after our first round, and were never offered bread, even though other tables were served it. We finally asked about bread, and our server said that she kept trying to get some to bring to us, but other servers kept taking it. When she finally did bring it, it was cold.
Our friend, who was celebrating the birthday, was never offered or brought dessert, let alone a candle in it. Overall, a very disappointing experience for what we expected for a celebratory dinner and night out at a "world renowned" resort and winery.
This was a business dinner with 6 people and we waited over an hour for food. The printer broke down and our order was not placed. There was no offer of a complimentary appetizer or something to make this experience better. Food was good but service overall was disappointing. Love Chateau Elan overall but expensive.
Upon arrival there was a terrible smell permeating the entire building. We were told it was a "burp" from the wine cellar below. It smelled just like raw sewage. We were seated at our table pretty quickly then left alone for a while. There were other tables that came after us that were given menus, drinks and bread all while we watched. It continued this way throughout our entire dinner. We had to ask for water and drinks multiple times. The food was adequate but the service was terrible. We asked for sauce for our steaks that we never received. This will be our last visit.
Special team event dinner
First impression upon entering was we stood around for 10 minutes at least looking for someone to seat us or greet us and I had a reservation
After seating the service was decent but the waitress informed us that 2 of the main entrees were not available after ordering instead of before
We ordered a bottle of wine and I ordered it and she opened on the other side of table and asked who should taste it ... just not properly trained for a nice restaurant ... then she proceeded to pour into my glass which again ... she should have served my guests first
Other than that ... food was phenomenal and we enjoyed our evening
We would have liked valet since parking is quite far and it was cold
Nice place to have a great lunch and enjoy your party's company. The service staff were fabulous.
Great service delicious food
Empty restaurant and they sat us in empty cold concrete patio near exit door
The remodeled Marc seating is great. Still needs some work on after dark views of the grapevines. Food and service have improved 100% since opening. They have some top shelf wines by the bottle though still only Chateau Elan selection by the glass. While structured to accommodate the captive hotel guests, it is worth the drive for Atlanta locals
The restaurant was clean and beautiful, and the servers was very friendly. The food wasn’t anything spectacular and it was a bit overpriced. However, it was a pleasant evening to a great weekend!
Great food and ambiance. The service was outstanding and the food tasted great. Will definitely come again in the future.
Food was ok, but service was awful. We had a 200.00 meal but our waiter came to the table twice. We were out of drinks and it took 30 mins to get the check. Would not go back for a mediocre steak.
My friends and I had a wonderful experience at the Marc Restaurant. I would suggest some gluten free options for pre dinner breads! But otherwise, we all enjoyed our entrees. And the mood and ambience was awesome!
Wow! Food was amazing and the service was top notch. Truly enjoyed my Anniversary dinner with my wife and will definitely be back. Thank you for Making an Anniversary one to remember!
Our lunch was fabulous, the view outside was great and the server was very attentive.
However, I do need to make a note that the cleanliness could have been a lot better. We were seated at a 4 top by the wall which had dried on brown drips running down it behind us. Quite disgusting! Thank goodness we noticed it as we stood up to leave.
Marc Bar is situated inside the winery at Chateau Elan. Very nice ambiance on the porch. Our server and chef were very accomodating with our food allergies and requests. Very nice experience.
Food was amazing. Every course was very good. Our waiter was phenomenal. Highly recommend!
Wonderful server .
Disappointed that bar closed at 9 pm for a private event on a Saturday night.
Nice combination of classy and fun
It was a bit loud since the football game was on at the bar but was to be expected. Food is always great and we love the finished construction of restaurant! Is expensive !
Beautiful spot overlooking vineyard, the staff was very attentive. Our lunch entrees were perfectly done
We love this restaurant we have been several times as we live here and also enjoyed the Haunted Vineyardfest dinner in October
Service was excellent. Food and beverages are overpriced. The quality is just so-so.
Our meal was perfect! Loved the charcuterie!! We recommend this place for a date night.
We truly enjoyed our meal. My husband had a rib eye with foie gras butter while I had the sea scallops. The sea scallops were the better of the two. If you are there for a romantic dinner, you need to ask for seating in the area with doors. The general dining was VERY loud due to weddings and such. We would dine here again.
The ambiance and the scenery was nice as expected, but the food was mediocre.
My husband and I spent our 4 year anniversary here. The drinks were amazing and the hosts allowed us to enjoy our drinks outside before we were seated at our table. They were amazing and made us feel very special on our anniversary. The food was incredible. Everything we ordered was PERFECT! Can't wait to visit again.
The appetizers and soups were outstanding. Real lobster in the lobster bisque! The braised pork cheeks were perfect! Recommend skipping the pasta entree since the braised meat was really mushy; however the pork chop was very satisfying
Really nice environment for some friends to gather and catch-up. Great food and service was Outstanding! :)
Great place for a quiet weekend lunch. Great food, service, atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
My wife and I went there on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was not busy so it was very quiet. Nice place and atmosphere.
The food was delicious, we will definitely be back.
Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and thought MARC would be a nice place to dine. There is a lovely portico overlooking the vineyards which should have added to the ambiance but the glass windows and acrylic barrier were filthy....bugs, dirt and cobwebs became the focal points instead of the view beyond. The meal started with great smelling rolls which became harder than hockey pucks within seconds....waiter brought second plate which were better but you wonder why are they serving stale rolls? Starters were on the heavy side....pork cheeks were reminiscent of Oso Bucco - would have been better if half the pork was served shredded over the shaved fennel vinaigrette....lobster soup was very creamy and my husband enjoyed it but also thought it heavy for a starter. Main course-scallops were delicious, streak was eeh....not fresh and heavily seasoned so the taste of the meat was obscured. The giant palmetto bug landing at my foot and crawling up the wall was a bit off putting as was the odor emanating from one corner of the room (? Sewer?). Dessert was delicious and the staff clearly cared and wanted to give us a special night...the complimentary champagne was a nice touch. They post on their menu a corking fee ( $15 for Chateau wines, $25 for outside wine) - but many of the patrons we overheard, took that to mean it would be charged as an additional fee when buying a bottle for the table or even added to the per glass price......kept folks from buying wine....they should clarify that on the menu.
Overall, an OK experience but wasn’t worth the price. We would need to think about it before returning.
We did enjoy our lunch. Food was great. Atmosphere was nice and service was excellent. However, we were there celebrating a birthday and noted this on open table when making the reservation. Nothing special was done. (Wonder why they even asked this). In fact, a friend who could not make it arranged with management to “surprise” the birthday girl with a bottle of wine and prepaid $40.00 for the wine . It was just placed on the table (no card, not wrapped, etc). If I had not been told ahead of time that this was going to happen, no one would have known who the wine was from or why the bottle was on the table. This may sound petty, but I was a bit disappointed that the restaurant didn’t acknowledge this special occasion.
