The food here is either really a "hit" or a "miss". When the food works then it's outstanding and a true and surprising delight. The misses are more pronounced when you contrast them with the great things they do. Specifically, all the appetizers we had were absolutely original and fantastic - interesting in both substance and taste. But the two entrees were disappointing - the bacon-wrapped salmon and the pork chop. The bacon-wrapped salmon was 'good' (above average, but not much) but not great and the pork chop was very tough to the point of not being edible. Diners at other tables seemed to really enjoy what they were eating so maybe it was just what we ordered. The wait staff tries hard and is fairly attentive. Hard to say why and what happened - maybe the kitchen was off that night. Won't go back and can't really recommend to others.

Possibly the best brunch ever! Beginning with bottomless apple cider mimosas to Chile lobster and scrambled eggs (what?) and ending with the largest most delicious French toast! It was all amazing!

Third time we've been here. Food is always amazing, the staff is as professional as they get, and the experience is always memorable. Little pricey for everyday meals, but it's great for special occasions. Will definitely be back again!

A great recommendation for a wonderful dinner. The staff were exceptional with their suggestions and the three course meal was amazing. The wine pairs were spot on. I have never had the appetizer served with such taste and flavours playing off each other. The entrée was also textures and flavour compliments. Highly suggest the halibut!
Desserts were also mind blowing even s'mores can be creative.

The chicken was amazing. The pork chop was not good at all. The halibut was great, the salmon so-so. Lobster toast was awesome. I’ve been 3x and this was the worst by far. Usually all around amazing. Still recommend — order the chicken!!

Our children gave us a gift certificate for dinner. Very pretty, rustic restaurant. The lobster chili appetizer was delicious and a little spicy. I loved the halibut. We would definitely love to return.

I had high expectations based on the iron chef's name recognition and I was not disappointed. We did the tasting menu and each and every course was unique and paired perfectly. Highly recommended.

What an amazing restaurant-I loved the Tasting menu and the wine pairing. Chef Forgione is amazing and his staff are very knowledgeable of all that is served. This is truly an experience from the cocktails and wine to the masterfully crafted food. You will not be disappointed.

The food was terrible, the steak for two was drowned in vinegar and you couldn’t even taste the beef. The sides was overly salty. We wrapped up the meal and took it to go, hate wasting food but this was terrible.

Had not been back for a few years and having dropped over $500 for a four top, was not as impressed as we used to be. Wonderful Tomahawk we ordered was covered in a very powerful parsley tapenade that needed to be on the side not already slathered on top. Speaking of sides, enough with the kale and tasteless beats. Innovative American means innovative big comfort food, not lightweights. Overall not as happy as years past. I will say that our dining partners were very happy with the sea bass and the salmon. Maybe just the wrong night for meat ?

Good food, excellent service, severely overpriced. Steak for two was "market price". $150. Not sure what market that was. Lost of fat, and about 5 pieces of good meat for each of us. Good, but not that good.

The food was amazing! It was everything we had hoped for. Our server was Mark and it was his first day but we would have never guessed. He was attentive and knowledgeable. Carlos was fantastic as well. He spent time talking to us and even brought over an extra dessert. They were so friendly and accommodating. We even got to speak to Marc Forgione who came out into the dining room several times. Great experience!

We have been going to Marc Forgione for 6 years, each time for my boyfriend's birthday. Always amazing food and the ambiance is perfect. The food is excellent, the service is stellar and the drinks are very good. We have seen Marc almost every year we have gone, he is super nice and appreciative. Can't go wrong here!

Ive been to this restaurant a few times and every time i go it really is a great experience. The menu changes all the time and the food is always excellent. When i booked the restaurant, i noted that it was my husbands birthday and they left a hand written note on the table for him. It was a really nice touch. One of my favorite places to go.

Top spot downtown . Chicken is one of best in City . Tomahawk overrated . Cookies and Cream is special . Halibut is very good. Wine list is extensive in some regions , and can get expensive quickly . Self control is necessary if you care .

Food was incredible! Several people had the duck, and people said it was the best they've ever tasted. Staff is wonderful, too! The candlelight is very romantic but it could have been a little brighter. Will go there again.

Every dish the four of us had was outstanding. The service was almost too good to the point that initially we thought we were being rushed and then were a bit perplexed by the ever changing but always helpful and cheerful staff that served us. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and obviously wanted to go to a notable place. From start to finish, we were greeted and treated. They had a birthday card waiting for him, we got a solid back corner table so it felt intimate. Complimentary champagne toast and soup bowl with everything bagel bite (that they're known for). Food is absolutely fantastic. Shishito peppers, chili lobster and oxtail to start. I had the cod and he had the chicken for one (still ample for two).
Overall amazing and want to head back ASAP. My only con (with most upscale ish NYC spots), is that other than the main courses, the starters/sharers are overpriced for the portion. Otherwise, KEEP IT UP!
