Everything about MF is amazing. The food. Wait staff. Ambiance. I can’t say enough about it.
The food was excellent especially the Halibut en Croute, which was exceptional! I really wanted to try the very popular Chili Lobster with Texas Toast too, but my friend couldn't have lobster 😭. Next time for sure! Our server was the best as well. She went above and beyond to hook us up with little "extras" during the course of our meal, which made the experience that more wonderful. I look forward to my next dining experience at Marc Forgione.

I have enjoyed several birthday dinners since the restaurant first opened in 2008 (I think), and as of Tuesday night the quality of the cuisine, service, and experience has not been diminished in any way. That almost never happens in NYC! Thank you for another delicious and fun evening.

We had the halibut and the black cod, and I couldn't imagine how to improve either dish.
Above and beyond anything that could have been expected. After visiting Peasant, and meeting and talking with Chef Forgione (and being absolutely blown away by the food) only a week ago for my first dating anniversary with my boyfriend, I decided to take him here for his birthday. We were treated like royalty from the second we walked in, and the food matched the service. We ordered the chicories salad to start. It may sound/seem simple, but that was one of the best salads we’ve ever had. We were also given the Hiramasa tartare dish, which my boyfriend declared the best tartare dish he’s ever had. I had the half chicken (cooked under a brick), and he had the halibut - both outrageous. We had the carrot cake for dessert, but we were also given what the waiter called, ‘The Egg.’ He basically told us to move back in our seats a bit as he proceeded to toss a white chocolate egg filled with passion fruit into a plate ... it was as hysterical as it was delicious, and my boyfriend does not like passion fruit.
There are no words that can properly describe this experience. From the card my boyfriend received when he sat down wishing him a happy birthday from the restaurant to the desserts to the sparkling wine to the everything bagel amuse bouche to the amazing atmosphere, this was a one of a kind experience. Simply outrageous, and we will be back.
