    We had early dinner with friends at Marblehead. We enjoyed a clambake, a Coconut shrimp bowl, crab cake and burger entrees. All were perfectly presented. The Outer Banks clam chowder was excellent. We highly recommend Marblehead Chowder House. Kenny is our favorite server and he never disappoints

    Drinks were amazing especially the vuzu lemonade.Food and service was outstanding, except for the baked potato was not cut and not buttered.

    While my broiled combo was a satisfying mix my wife had an extremely disappointing two tail lobster dinner. Her baked potato was hard and flavorless and the two tails lacking in any flavor whatsoever. Not what one would have expected from a highly rated seafood house. Additionally, while not anything to do with the food, when making the reservation it was noted that it was special occasion and was for a birthday. I had expected that to be noted and that at least one of the staff would have at least said “Happy Birthday” at some point. But, not happening. Oh well.

    marblehead is a decent seafood restaurant but we felt the seafood doesn't appear nor smell to be as fresh as it could

    We are now “regulars” at this gem of a restaurant. The ambience is quite nice - especially in the bar area with its padded booth like setting - and the service is always excellent! But of course why we keep going back is the food - fish and seafood is always fresh and well prepared. You just can’t go wrong. The side selection is always generous and the problem is deciding on which one to choose - from the roasted vegetables to the creamy Cole slaw to the amazing baked beans (bar none the best I have ever had) to the chopped salad option which is fresh and ingredient packed with dried cranberries, cucumbers, etc…… Last night my husband had pan seared shrimp and scallops over lobster risotto - scrumptious! I had the special linguine with white clam sauce - yum! Everything was fantastic - as usual. If you couldn’t tell, we LOVE this place.
