I have been wanting to visit from the moment I heard it was opened so I decided our family’s Thanksgiving would happen there over Roti and doubles and bake and shark. I booked for fifteen persons. The table setting was adorable, a beautiful salmon coloured rose at one end. The reserved but very attentive young lady who served us, quickly became friends as we recognized compatriots in each other. We immediately had water glasses filled and our orders taken after quickly checking options. We were delighted to learn about the live music that was about to happen while we dined. Guitar and sax inside and a steel pannist outside under a tent on a beautiful sunny day
And then the food! Most flavourful, perfect blend of herbs and spices. Every bite delicious, textures perfect, no complaints there.
As A Trinidadian who has spent a lot of time at Maracas beach, my only complaint was that I was not sitting on said beach watching passers by and the Caribbean Sea crashing in front of me. The experience at Maracas restaurant was all of it minus the beach. I’ll be back often
