To honor the changes of the season in the garden, Maple dishes up soul-warming American cuisine informed by classic technique, market-fresh produce, and subtle Latin inspirations.
Open for brunch Sat-Sun.
Everything on the menu is super tasty and the servers were super nice. My only suggestion is if you're making reservations to think a head if you want to sit inside or out. In the summer it can get really hot and there's not enough umbrellas to provide shade in their patio area.
Food was delicious, service was great, the big bummer was that they ran out of drink items on the menu and we had to settle for water. We drove a little over an hour for this so it was disappointing. My suggestion is to get an early reservation so you don’t experience this.
Everything was great. The recipe for the Avicado toast and chicken and Beignets changed a bit, but still delicious.
I wanted to like it but the drinks were bad, its was hot, it was way to loud and very over priced. The Maple made Hill Street look like a 5 star restaurant. Our bill for 2 drinks, avocado toast, chicken and beignets and a side of beignets came to $65.70.
Nice Quiet Spot. My Husband and I really enjoyed the food. Great portion sizes and reasonably priced. We'll definitely return with other family members and friends.
Have been wanting to try this place since it opened. We loved our server. The food was great. Will return!
Enjoyed our experience. Chicken and beignets were to die for. Our wait was a little long but the delicious bread and homemade strawberry jam kept us happy. The waiter refilled our drinks at no cost because of the wait. There are worse places to wait!
This place was a pleasant surprise. Food tasted fresh and service was attentive. The beniegts and home made jam were yummy!
I really like this spot, very calm and relaxed and the food, as well as the service, is great. I think it's a bit on the expensive side. Our bill was $65 for pancakes, crepes, side of bacon, 1 mimosa and 1 coffee.
We love the gardens and had high hopes for Maple. Just average for brunch - not terrible but not as good as we had hoped. Service was ok - not great not terrible.
Pretty space for an average meal with a moderately high price tag.
Good food and service in the "pre ticket" entrance area. Only comment is the short hours, they should be open the same time as Descanso Gardens - very frustrating.
Unfortunately our experience was not what I expected. The prices were fairly expensive for the plates that they serve. We did not realize they only serve breakfast and brunch foods. It was nothing to write home about and I would not return, too expensive for what you get. Descanso was beautiful as always but next time I think we will enjoy a sandwich or burger from the outside patio service. Sorry I could not give a good review, just being honest.
Food took a while to come out and they were almost closing so not many people were seated.
The menu looks better than the food. My omelet was beyond plain and boring. We had to ask for the whipped cream that came with the kids pancakes.
We had a starter of berry toast. It arrived when the meal did. And it wasn't all that special. Nice setting but don't expect to be wowed by the food. Kind of disappointed as The Patina group is usually pretty solid.
Amazing time and amazing food
Terrifuc food, great location, friendly service.
Good service. The waiter was friendly, helpful and efficient. Pleasant ambiance. We chose the Maple Breakfast which was good but not great.
Maple was a great way to celebrate my birthday with brunch. Food was delicious and very appealing. Staff was attentive without being bothersome. We couldn’t decide so we ordered extra a shared. Everything was very tasty. Coffee was delicious non-bitter (and I don’t drink it) but I tried it because my mom said it was the best coffee she’s ever had. We will definitely be back. Eat outside under the umbrellas. Beautiful.
My wife and I went there for brunch, for the first time, before going to the Descanso Gardens. Being LCF residents, I was also interested in exploring a new brunch place for getting together with friends. Upon our arrival, the hostess asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside. I asked her specifically if outside would be in a shaded area, which she assured me the area was shaded. So, we decided to sit outside. Unfortunately, within the first 10-15 minutes, I started getting direct sun in my eyes. Not wanting to make a big deal out of it, my wife switched her place with me and I was okay for the next 10-15 minutes. As the meal progressed and the sun's position changed, I could feel the intense sun shining on my back and made me very uncomfortable!
On the food front, we ordered the avocado toast, which was good. My wife ordered their vegan hash, which she enjoyed. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was bland with little taste to it. They had stuffed the burrito with so much breakfast potatoes and had even more potatoes on the side. My wife ordered a poached egg on the vegan hash which they forgot about. Their service started fine. Our reservation was for 9:00 am on Sunday morning and the place was not busy at all when we arrived and during our meal. The waiter took our drink and appetizer orders and things looked fine. After the main course arrived, and 15 minutes afterwards, the waiter was nowhere to be found and didn't bother to check to see if our meal was okay. He later shows up and we tell him about the missing poached eggs. We received the poached eggs 25 minutes into our meal. My coffee cup was bone dry for 15 minutes and my wife's tea had run cold. At this point, I was convinced good service must not be one of their attributes. About 15 minutes after we had stopped eating, the waiter came around again to check. We asked for our check. In the mean time, our dirty dishes were never picked up. Needless to say, I won't be coming back!
It’s was great...
Great service and food
The fried chicken and beignets were great. It came with four pieces of chicken and there were perfectly spiced. Pancakes were huge. The crabcake Benedict was solid. Our waitress was excellent. The prices are a bit high, but the quality matches the price
The setting is lovely, but the service is pretty lacking. Especially for the price. The hostess was rude to multiple people, our waiter was very nice, but the food took a really long time to come out (though it was very good when it arrived) and the inside is noisy and cramped (though the outside is charming). All in all the experience was good, but not great.
Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Service a bit overbearing. Outdoor patio felt slightly claustrophobic. Otherwise, it was a really great place for brunch.
I've come here a few times and I am never disappointed. My friends and family are always equally impressed by the food and good service. Already looking forward to next time.
Parking was a huge problem -- drove in lot at 11:4 5 a.m. and drove around lot several times before finding a spot near the ENTRANCE. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a side of bacon, but server thought I wanted bacon inside the burrito -- not so, I wanted to nibble on the crisp bacon as I ate the burrito. You were out of chambord so we had to order the mule cocktail instead. I had specified a birthday on the online reservation but nothing was offered for the birthday observance.
Unfortunately, the restaurant had run out of three of the specials from the Mother's Day Menu. We were there for Mother's Day and were disappointed about this.
The overall menu is good, but we were going there for the specials. Plus, the menu was misleading, for the plate I ordered stated a Spanish Omelette, with spinach and tomatoes. But it included cucumbers and asparagus, and I didn't like it that way.
We also ordered the fruit and cheese plate, which was dominated by fruit, and only two cheeses. And when our server brought it out, it only had one cheese on it, and we asked, is this correct, only one cheese, with a fruit and cheese plate? He did correct it, but it seemed weird.
I have eaten at Maple before and have always been highly satisfied but not this time. My reservation was on Mother's Day, but I ate there last Mother's Day and it was great. I'm not sure if the inclement weather was a hindrance or not. The wait staff was wonderful but it took a long time for the food to arrive and it was cold when it did come. My grandson's hamburger was inedible because it was so overdone and dry. The egg dishes were all cold.
Food was awful one of the worse I have ever tasted. Because they were part of the Patina group my expectations were high, but the food was terrible. Pancakes dry, Benedict’s, even the avocado toast. Coffee was weak and cold. The waitress was nice, but I could not recommend this place to anyone.
I have been before and had a great experience. This time not so much, we had to wait even with a reservation. The waitress was good but it took almost 15mins for someone to acknowledge us to even take our order. And the food was just ok this time. I got the eggs Benedict and the brioche was so hard I could barley cut through it. My son got friend chicken and it was so greasy he couldn’t eat it. Overall the food was flavorless. I hope if I ever return this is not the experience I have again.
Great place ❤️
Eh, didn't live up to the hype. Service wasn't great and felt food wasn't spectacular.
This was the perfect place for me and my girlfriends to relax and celebrate our birthdays!
Very cute date brunch spot. Enjoyed everything from food to location to the service. Would recommend to everyone.
Service was fantastic thanks to our server Jessica.
Maybe it was just an off day, but we were disappointed. The one thing on the menu that I really wanted was sold out, understandable but a little frustrating considering it was only 11:30 am for Sunday brunch. I ended up with the French toast which was very wet, as if the brioche hadn't been cooked enough. The most disappointing part was the service. It took almost ten minutes for our waitress to greet us and take drink orders. Once we received our food she never came back to ask us how it was or to see if we wanted more drinks and we watched her continually check up on her other tables. When she came to clear our plates, she didn't say anything about my meal only missing one bite (not even to ask if I wanted a box.) The best part of the meal was the fresh berry toast as an appetizer. All in all, I'd be willing to give it a second chance one day. It was a cute place, so I'm hoping our bad brunch was just a fluke.
Delicious food. Just need to be more awear of food / nut allergies . Will come again!!!
Great Sunday Bruch experience, excellent food and lovely staff.
We have been Descanso Gardens members for a couple of years, but this was our first opportunity to have brunch here. The service was excellent. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The beignets, served with real maple syrup were delicious.
Very pretty spot w/ delicious fancy toast!
