Maple & Ash - Scottsdale

By far the BEST dining experience I've ever experienced in Scottsdale. Truly amazing.

We ate there for my husbands b-day last Sunday and I must say that the service was some of the best I have ever had!! The area of disappointment were the white wine selection by the glass. I used to live near Napa and their Napa wine I have never heard of, nor was it good. They will give you a small sample to try.

The steak that I had was very good...but how can you go wrong with fillet?? You could get the same quality meat at any of the high end local steak house. My husband had the fish and it was quite tasty. The asparagus side was fabulous...not sure what they did to it, but it was awesome!! And the desert....we had the galette and it was yummy.

If you don't mind getting a really big bill at the end of your dinner, I would highly recommend this place.

Great brunch!

Our server didn’t go through the menu with us so we had to just choose random options. Service was mediocre and for the price we weren’t impressed. Table next to us was super loud and obnoxious. Probably will not be going back.

Our appetizers were good, but a bit disappointing (the wedge salad dressing was too vinegary and most of the dozen oysters were too small). The fry aged rib eye steak and the cowgirl steak were excellent. The gin martini was too small (only about 2 oz of gin). Service was excellent.

From the beginning experience was awesome, server offered delicious cocktail and snacks as a courtesy. Amazing experience and service.

Often on a holiday, restaurants tend to do a limited menu and service can seem rushed. Nothing could be further from the truth during our Thanksgiving dining experience at Maple &Ash. From our seating to our exit, this exceptional restaurant exceeded our expectations. Our serve, Brittany, was welcoming and offered suggestions and descriptions of this menus offerings, that were impassioned and above and beyond any other dining experience we have had here while visiting Scottsdale. Her explanations of the nuances and specialities of the offerings were presented with expertise and knowledge far above the norm. Our meal of wood fire seafood tower, grilled romain salad, filet cooked perfectly and sides of mushrooms and Yukon gold gratin potatoes to dessert of a hot fudge sundae, well... simply & absolutely superb!
My husband, chef trained at the Culinary Institute of America, shares my enthusiasm for this review. If you are looking for a wonderful dining experience, outstanding food with extraordinary service and attention to detail, you need look no further than Maple & Ash, Scottsdale Arizona.

Twenty minutes before anyone approached the table....ridiculous amount of time between courses....service way below what should be expected at this price point. Overall, VERY disappointing. For the same $$ Ocean 44/Steak44 are both vastly superior dining experiences.

First annual friendsgiving here, and it was a great experience! We ate at the bar and tried their sharables ... the lamb lollipops were fantastic. The onion rings were pretty standard, and the crab knuckles a little salty. For entrees we ordered a petit filet, the lamb bolognaise, and the strip, all were phenomenal. The caesar salad and the asparagus were absolutely to die for - quite unique, both of them, and just delightful in every way. The bartenders were attentive without being overbearing. All in all, a lovely evening and we'll return to Maple & Ash with friends and clients alike!

Amazing service and food!!

The atmosphere is wonderful. Service was very good but you need to thoroughly review your bill as I found two significant overcharges . Food also was very good but overpriced. A place for special occasions or for corporate accounts .

Food is good, but somewhat overpriced. Service was good at the beginning of our early dinner, thirty minutes into the meal it got busy and the service took a dramatic change.

What a fantastic place! This is a must try in the Valley! I can’t wait to go back soon and try more dishes!!

Everything was wonderful. My wife even got a menu with Happy Birthday and her name written on it. We loved it!

Second time at maple and ash and won't be back for 3rd. we were celebrating a birthday and the service couldn't have been worse. the staff rushed us at every turn (for example while we were singing happy birthday they were trying to take plates and glasses off the table). Even though the staff was rushing us (to turn the table?) the kitchen delayed the main course (which happens but don't rush us to make up time after that!) It was so loud we had two different managers came to the table at two separate times and we couldn't hear everything they were trying to say (they said they couldn't hear us and left the table????)

Steaks an ambiance are outstanding. Service was impeccable. We ate in the bar area where there is a good scene, even if a little noisy.

If you are ever looking for a place to celebrate your special occasion you have to go to Maple and Ash.
They will make you feel so special on your special day. They provide a custom printed menu for you, they start you off with a cocktail as soon as you sit down so there's no waiting for your first drink. The ambiance is amazing the service is top notch and the location is perfect! In this round I only had drinks, and some items from the raw bar so I can't speak to the food but my table guests said everything was great!

Hubby & I took a few days to getaway & decided to eat here.
Food was Incredible. Presentation was too notch & no detail was left unturned.
Amy was our server & was super helpful with recommendations & her personal favorites too!
We loved everything about the evening, food, drink & company too.
We are originally from Chicago, so we look forward to trying that location out too!

They took away my wife's aperitif before she was finished. They were out of the wine, Heitz Cabernet, we ordered and at 6 PM they were out of baked potatoes. Hard upsell on the seafood platter which by now is kind of yesterday's trendy appetizer. No baked potatoes at 6PM? at a Steakhouse? Really! Nice atmosphere but we were all underwhelmed.

Great spot in a great part of town. It should absolutely be on your list to check out. We went for a birthday and they did a great job making the birthday girl feel special! Finishes are very elegant. Service was just ok. We had to ask (twice) to put our drink order in, and presentation timing (of food and drink) was inconsistent amongst our table. For a steak place in Scottsdale, competition is fierce. For the value, I’m of the opinion that M&A is on the level with Steak 44 but one below Mastro’s & Dominick’s. We aren’t terribly motivated to return quickly. It still seems there’s a few kinks to work out from a service standpoint.

SECOND TIME AND JUST AS GOOD AS THE FIRST!GREAT EXPERIECE

Honestly, the food and Service at the table was very good. But the service with the host was disappointing. I arrived 30min early to make sure I checked in, and still had to wait 15min after my reservation for a table.

The food was great, and the service was fantastic. Its kind of a "scene" so if you are looking to get decked out and have a nice steak dinner with great cocktails- I would recommend. Especially if you want to "see and be seen"

There are way better steakhouse options in Phoenix/Scottsdale! The food was mediocre, at best. Ambience was eh. Will not return.

From beginning to end the experience was great. We were greeted immediately when we walked through the door with a very brief wait. Our server Kim was FANTASTIC! She was friendly, knowledgeable and gave honest recommendations! I’ll definitely make it a point to request her on my next visit! Drinks were made well and my meal was delicious! Great experience!

Maple and Ash has a great atmosphere and the food and service is top notch. Definitely a great new addition to the old town/fashion square area.

Could not have asked for a better anniversary dinner. Top notch service, food and ambiance.

Oysters on the half shell very good. Filets and New York Strip prepared exactly medium rare and excellent! Micheal our waiter was knowledgeable and service was outstanding!

Food was great! Everyone was very nice and helpful.

This is the second time I’ve been here and both times the female servers messed up my order. This time the girl was even rude about it. Won’t be back.

This place is your typical steakhouse. Everything was pretty much average price compared to other restaurants in the area like steak 44, Mastro’s or ocean club. I do like the menu and our food was pretty good but I do have to say the mac & cheese was terrible the pasta was super chewy and pretty much not even cooked enough at all! I feel like the best parts of this restaurant was the fact that I got some kind of delicious welcome cocktail and they bring you bread to the table which basically no one does anymore. Also with the bread they served you a bowl of olives and a side of radish with butter it was very weird to me and wasn’t a fan at all. I personally don’t know if I would go back to this restaurant or not.

Unbelievable service from the second I valeted. Server (Joseph) was perhaps the most interesting and personable human I’ve ever encountered. It’s clear the leadership team has taken great care to hire the best of the best and pay significant attention to detail from the service, to the unique dining options, to the cutlery and dining ware. A true experience I will never forget. The service was impeccable and will be back to see Joseph soon.
