Food and service great. Only had an issue with the last Gin and Tonic you served. Once we said the drink was not right, definitely flat and no tonic, it was replaced immediately to be fair. But with another Gin and Tonic which was equally flat and definitely not tonic. It tasted like Gin and water. I know it was crazy busy and you had already told us you had run out baklava and brandy so we would have understood that you had run out of tonic too. Never assume that someone will not notice that they are not getting what they ordered.
Ordered a aperol sprtiz. The spritz was miss, didn’t taste like alcohol, it was flat so obvs no Prosecco in it. Sent it back and it was returned with a messaged from the bar man that it’s Rosé that’s in it. ThAt is not an aperol spritz at £9!
Simple but good Middle Eastern food. Staff was very polite and professional
The price of the food compared to the quantity was dissopoint.
Service was very poor - waitress was uninterested and unhelpful. Food was OK. Value was reasonable. We won’t be in a rush to return.
Overall very poor food quality. Falafel were over fried to the point there were black. We ordered a portion of fries which came with ketchup : asked for mustard but told ketchup was the only sauce they had available. Spent £43 in 2 for a very poor meal: 2 falafel plates - about 5 falafel with tiny salad and very little hummus- 1x small plate of fries-which were over burned, 2x glasses of tonic water on tap, 2x small peroni bottle. Felt it was overpriced considering the food quality and portion was very poor. Only good point was the location, as right in soho. I advise them To improve the quality of the food as was quite poor. We understand you increase the prices as are trying to make up for the loss of the lockdown but people are not stupid!
The service was rapid and friendly but unfortunately did not enjoy the food!
Went with a group of 6, had fun. Lamb chops were delicious. The only advice would be for the waiters to be a bit more thorough when taking the orders, the staff gave me the impression they did not know what to do with themselves and forgot a few items we ordered. Apart from that, would definitely recommend
I had my birthday get together with friends. The staff were very nice, friendly and attentive. Food was amazing too. I will definitely visit again and I also recommend them.
Nice visit, staff very attentive. Food was nice but too expensive for what it was.
Lovely food and drinks. Maoz has a nice family-run atmosphere and the waiters are so friendly. Will be returning soon!
When we arrived they didn’t have a table for us and threw two random tables together that were different sizes. It meant half the table was covered and half was exposed. They are overbooking at the moment
The food is tasty and well seasoned, however portions are a little small for the price you pay for a meal.
Our food was accidentally placed on the wrong table and the team dealt with this issue professionally
The outdoor seating area had heaters which is great for dining outdoors.
Very nice place, great food and amazing cocktails. Would be back at anytime
Great service and atmosphere at this restaurant. We were looked after very well
The staff - Wasim - was really good in taking care of us and made our time enjoyable. He was very polite and ensured we had everything we needed.
We sat in a tent out on the street. The tent made that were shielded from the cold wind. Which was good.
Very good service but too many people packed together. Trying to get in and out to bathroom meant asking others to stand up from eating their meals. The idea of being outside was to feel safer but it felt claustrophobic and too close to others. We were joined to another guests table
Food was amazing and came promptly all the staff were polite and everyone was so lovely especially Wassim!
Absolutely stunning. Good was incredible, the staff was constantly keeping an eye on us making sure we were ok. There was a guy on a trial shift who provided us with such a good service.
Definitely will come back
Great food in one of my favourite neighbourhoods in London. Having said that, though I do understand the current circumstances, the waiters were rushing us to eat and empty our tables with the first chance they had, even though we were supposed to have the booking for at least a good 90 mins. I'm here to enjoy good company and meet friends, not just eat in a rush and go!
Waited one hour for our food despite other people who came later getting there’s first. Waiters and waitresses were friendly. Vibe was nice, but portions were ridiculously small given the price! Don’t go there if you’re starving.
Lively oudoor street dining with ok food and a few cocktail selections. Friendly and prompt service but pretty minimal in terms of plates, cutlery, napkins, etc.
Very friendly staff compared to other places along Old Compton Street , food reasonably priced enough space between tables, would go again.
Really enjoyed the meal and the experience overall.
Service was a bit all over the place although the lady serving is was excellent.
Food took a while but that suited us as we didn't have a later booking for drinks anywhere.
When or main came out they accidentally gave out to the table behind us but they replaced it quite quickly.
All in all, they are very very busy so some mistakes are totally understandable.
Would go again :)
I booked a table and as soon as we arrived they informed us that we could stay only an hour. The service was poor and everybody was waiting for us to leave.
Food and service was phenomenal- will definitely be returning here
The food was very small
Food was great, service was perfect. portion sizes were small
Overall a good experience. Food was fresh and tasted amazing.
Booked a table for 12:00 on OR but arrived and they said they will be set up for 12:15 and hadn’t updated the website. OT also had a bottomless brunch advertised which was also something that was needing to be updated. The cocktails we had instead were good. Just a shame the tables are not on the sun for outdoor seating. Feels more of a takeaway shop than a “restaurant”
Food was good, wine a little overpriced but overall was an enjoyable experience. Busy atmosphere atm and whatever you do, don't turn up before your booking, they will not have a table for you. They're pretty strict about bookings/timings which I don't necessarily blame them for - it's a small restaurant so they don't have any spare space. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Better than what I was expecting. Tasty food, average prices and perfect location
Good food and drinks. Service was a little slow but it was very busy so it was to be expected
Poor service - several mistakes, poor communication between colleagues, one meal arrived and they had forgotten about the second - which arrived 10 mins later when the initial plate was stone cold. No offer of compensation and I was just keen to get out. I appreciate that some of the staff were new (they told us so) but the managers were around to help out but didn't.
The main course food itself was ok. Lamb skewers were tasty although one portion was dry (and eaten cold) while the other was succulent and fresh (hot).
The starters were good - the hummus and pitta were particularly good.
Tables were too close together and social distancing was not observed by staff or customers. I felt anxious constantly. I won't return to Soho until I feel more comfortable.
Great night in Soho at Maoz. Tasty food and good value for money. Will definitely be back!
Food was excellent, had several starters and small plates to share. No vegetarian mains, but enough on starters/small plates. Staff were friendly and helpful. Chilly evening, so appreciated the heat lamps. Very good value for money.
Friendly service although a little too much at times - topping up our wine glass without asking us for example.
Really nice food and good prices. They had a tent with heaters so nice and warm. Would definitely go back
