We loved sitting outside in the beautiful courtyard. Brunch was just lovely. The live music was a nice bonus and created a wonderful ambiance.
The menu has plenty of good choices, and the food is delicious! Our favorite was actually the Queso Blanco - it has a rich, buttery taste. Everything was well prepared and beautifully presented.
Very nice interior and exterior. The alcoholic beverages very excellent. Food was but dissapointijg.
Ordered queso and fajitas. They were both ok
Have had better queso and fajitas from chuys and
Saizon. Would recommend those places instead.
The service was excellent however. And well as other staff.
We always enjoy coming here. Great food and good atmosphere.
Waiter excellent. Very attentive
Fernando was amazing!
Damn good ceviche!
This is a great place to eat. The outdoor patio has beatutiful wisteria vines that cover it and in the spring they have purple flowers. Later in the spring the leaves fill up the vines making it appear as a ceiling of green. The place has quite and ambiance to eat.
The food is excellent. This is not a typical TexMex type of restuarant but Mexican type dishes of meat and seafood but they also have the fajitas and enchilada dishes. My wife loves the red sangria they serve.
We recommend this place for any occasion.
Very nice happy hour on patio. Waiter was perfecto. Appetizers were good and ample. Will be back.
Exceeded my expectations! The resraurant has a very nice entrance with lit fountain pool around the walkway as you enter. Ambience was nice, the wait staff was very attentive, and the food was excellent! We had the Valentines day set dinner and everything was really cooked perfectly. It takes a lot to impress me at this point and Manuels did just that! Thanks for a great evening!
We have never had a bad experience at Manuel's. The food is great (pork tostadas!) as is the service. It is a very nice restaurant and we are happy to have it in the neighborhood.
Lunch with friends. Delicious soups and salads. Great waitstaff employee in training!!
I like Manuel’s but it’s always so hot and stuffy in there everytime I go. I need to remember not to go anymore. It’s too hard to be there that miserable.
Best Sangria in Austin.
Manuel’s is a great place — if you can afford it. There are other restaurants with similar menu items that are a better value.
One of our favorite places. Brunch was wonderful.
A tried & try classic. Authentic interior Mexican food. Variety, fresh ingredients, Happy Hour, great ambiance, excellent staff, very accommodating, all in all, a terrific restaurant
Good location and lots of parking! Very nice and clean place. The servers were nice and attentive... the food was good and hot...
As usual, we prefer to eat on their lovely patio. Inside is insanely loud and the patio is quite nice.
Great find near the Renaissance at the Arboretum. Beautiful presentation, fresh, unique food with much more of the Mex than the Tex flair.
We absolutely love this restaurant. A little more than what average Mexican food cost, but this is not average. The flavors are mouth watering and the service never disappoints. Thank you for always being a reliable and delicious stop.
Manuel's at the Arboretum is fantastic. Authentic interior Mexico cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, always superior serve, great variety. Can't say enough nice things about this fantastic restaurant.
We had 6 of us total at dinner and all agreed the food is bland and not worth the visit.
Would have given a better rating but waitress was really bad. HOWEVER: management stepped in and did everything possible to make it right. So overall it was good. Definitely will go back. Food is outstanding and some unique dishes. It's a favorite place.
Great!! A good time for everyone. High brow food with great drinks in a non fussy manner.
Love Manuel’s. Always consistent.
A group of 5 of is gathered for a birthday dinner. Our waitress was excellent. Most of our food was delicious, but one person thought their quesadilla was to dry. Out only real complaint was was the noise level. There are very few soft furnishings making the noise level quite high.
I don't know what happened to this restaurant. It use to be one of my easy go to restaurants, but there was a lot of burnt food smoking the kitchen..service was off the mark and the black drum dish was not as good as previous times. It was a party of 7 celebrating a bday. I called ahead to ask if if would be ok to bring a bday cake/candles, no prob they say. When it was time, the waiter just set the big cake box on the table..didnt even take it out of the box or put the pre purchased candles on. Then I ask to keep the box for leftover cake and the waiter throws the box away!?! So I proceed to unbox the cake put the candles on and light the candles..( I was prepared to have tipped generously for the extra service).only to wait on the forks. I left wishing we had celebrated elsewhere.
The restaurant was moderately busy. Drinks were expensive but too small to share. They brought us some stale chips and salsa, then had fajitas for two which came with cheese, Pico, and guacamole which helped to enhance the bland tasting fajitas. The coconut flan was the best part of the meal. Overall not a satisfying experience.
We dined during the height of the hurricane and the staff and service was wonderful. The food was excellent and we enjoyed our visit and will come again!
With a hurricane rolling inland, we headed to the theater for a good movie conveniently located at Regal Cinema across from Manuel's. Food was good, service was great. Probably an improvement from previous visits.
We go to Manuel's about once a month for a relaxed, early dinner. Drinks are consistently good, food is fresh with a decent number of creative choices. We've found service to be overall good to above average and friendly. We will return and would recommend to friends.
Loved the ambience of the outdoor dinning under the canopy of a beautiful tree and patio atmosphere. The food was delicious and creative
My family and I have been going to Manuel at Great Hills the last 5 years - whenever we are in Austin.
Always enjoy the yummilious food. Friendly and attentive service
I sometimes forget this place, because I go to the downtown location. Great food and vibrant energy. Our server, Rachel, was outstanding.
Food was bland
This place is a neighborhood gem - great ambience, including music during Sunday brunch and the food is honestly some of the best Mexican food Austin has to offer. Fresh, nicely plated and many unique dishes on the menu.
You won't be disappointed!
We've had several mediocre meals here in the last couple of years, but have kept coming back thinking that it *must* be better than it seems -- after all, the place has been in business a long time, and has a generally good reputation around town. But to my mind (and palate), it has never amounted to much more than just your average Mexican restaurant. Last Friday night was even a little less satisfying than our prior experiences: a beer and a margarita came quick, chips with no salsa then appeared, but with a promise of salsa 'when it's ready'. Then a long wait for so-so pork enchiladas (though with a very nice mole sauce) and mediocre battered, fried shrimp. The salsa appeared when we had about 2 or 3 bites of our entrees left. I don't think I'll keep trying; there are better places in town for a Mexican dinner.
This is the second time my wife and I had dinner here and the food was very good. Their patio dining area has a lot of ambiance which is surprising considering the location is next to a parking lot. They have created an area where you feel like your in garden and have no idea there is a parking lot on the other side of wall.
