Fabulous Food great atmosphere we had a wonderful time!!
Margaritas were so weak that we ordered shots of tequila to add to them. Pollo Mole appetizer was good. Beef fajitas were average. Special crab enchiladas delicious. Waiter was friendly and competent. Overall, our experience was good, but there are so many better choices in Austin. We would not return.
Good food in a great spot! The service was excellent.
We had a great time; good food and service and fun over all. We were all from out of town and one of the guys at the Four Seasons told us about Manuel's. He was right and when we are again in Austin, we'll be back
My family went here for my birthday dinner and were greeted nicely by the hostess but once we got sat down our server very much acted like she didn't want to be at work or serve us. She didn't like answering any questions and every question she did answer was answered with a tone that seemed like we didn't "belong" there. The food was okay but wasn't "Tex-mex" like advertised. I probably wouldn't go there again or recommend.
A friend visiting from Seattle. Good food and atmosphere.
Manuel’s is one of the best restaurants in Austin. Service is great, the ambience is warm and friendly, and the food is spectacular. I especially recommend the shrimp dishes.
Met a couple of friends while in town for a conference. I found most restaurants in Austin to be somewhat aloof. Few take reservations and it feels like they are wanting to have lines of people waiting to get in. That approach turns me off. Manuel's was very different. First of all they took reservations and they were happy to have us with all staff very welcoming and attentive.
The craft cocktails were imaginative, delicious and reasonably priced. The menu was diverse with lots of options. Food was tasty. We were able to hear each other, the staff was attentive but didn't rush us. Was a great experience.
Great atmosphere, food, service, and drinks. Even though the restaurant was busy, there was plenty of room and staff to meet our needs.
First time and enjoyed the food and drinks. The restaurant was abit hot once it started to fill up but overall was a very nice dinner.
Not a bad option by any stretch if you're looking for something downtown and easily accessible , but the food is underwhelming, and in a town with many great options for Tex-Mex, this one just doesn't make the cut.
Nice restaurant close to convention center with great food!
As always, Excellent service! Great food. My Austin preference when visiting, the Jolleyville location is my favorite.
Incredible food, and a hidden gem for
brunch. The service was impeccable, and it is really easy to get in and out due to the ability to make reservations.
Great food. Very fresh and great service. Atmosphere was lovely and my whole family enjoyed every thing we ate.
Food was cold and very bland. Everyone raves about the queso but save your money. Three stars for the great salsa and margaritas. Customer service was 4/5.
Good food and good service. Old fashioned and casual vibe.
Good food; attentive service; value priced. We will return
It wasn't terrible
Excellent imaginative cuisine served with flair and attention to detail. Plenty of wait staff so service was not an issue at all. Noise level was such that a conversation was possible without shouting. First time to visit downtown location in years but still high level of quality despite the age of the establishment.
