As usual The Mansion never disappoints. Food, service, staff & atmosphere spectacular & classy. Always have a wonderful time there. Love this place. Were we married here & always come back here. They make everyday special & fun.
The old gray mare, she ain't what she used to be. Food that may have been inventive 20 years ago paired with a staff that could use 20 years of polish and training. And way way way overpriced.
Wonderful restaurant to bring someone you love to.
The meat was a little over cooked
Easter brunch with the bestie! Decided to treat ourselves like royalty and the Mansion made us feel like queens! The staff was wonderfully kind and responsive. We were encouraged to relax, sip and savor. No rushing here!! The patio was a beautiful place to sit and I can’t wait for another special occasion to go back!! You pay for a five star experience and get 10!!
I have been to The Mansion several times for drinks but had not had dinner there. I decided to try it for a family dinner and was not impressed.
We had the Chef's Tasting Menu with mixed results. The dishes fluctuated from good to poor with an occasional glimpse of great cooking. The service was equally mediocre provided by a staff that was, with a few exceptions, perfunctorily doing its job.
All in all, The Mansion is a great place to have a drink but certainly there are other high-end options in Dallas that make the effort and succeed at providing an exquisite dining experience. Sadly, The Mansion, does not.
We had dinner for two on Saturday night. Business casual is rwcommended but Dallas dresses things up a bit. Our waiter recommended char with mustard sauce. Perfect recommendation. Our dinner here was the highlight of our trip.
My boyfriend and I went to brunch as part of his birthday celebration. We had a gift certificate from our friends that we needed to use, as well. At $54/person for the three-course prix fixe brunch, it was a little more pricey than I’ve come to expect from Texas. But the service and ambience spoke volumes to where the cost goes—it was excellent. From the menu, we thoroughly enjoyed the tortilla soup, the burger my boyfriend had was cooked perfectly and the house made pickles were delicious, my steak medallions were cooked well (hard to do with thinner cuts of meat) and our desserts of chocolate mint sundae and churros were excellent! Definitely good for a special occasion or date night.
Food quality and presentation at a very high level. Service impeccable.
The only small detraction was a very loud band in the bar adjoining the restaurant.
That did not quite fit the classic, traditional ambiance.
One of the most amazing evenings of my life. Incredible food. Outstanding service. A night to remember for years to come.
As usual, The Mansión did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. A very nice, quiet place to have an outstanding meal specially if accompanied by someone special!
The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic. I highly recomend this restaurant. Caroline Rose Hunt’s jewel continues to shine.
Extraordinary experience! Food was delicious and the service was top notch. Dinner is on the expensive side.
Birthday brunch
An exceptional dining experience. Food and service was outstanding, which included a special complimentary dessert for couples celebrating an anniversary. Note: their signature creme brûlée is available, but does not appear on the dessert menu - you have to ask.
Incredible service and wonderful food.
The decor has been updated to a more modern, understated look which I find seems less elegant, but it’s still beautiful and comfortable!
Excellent as always
Great service and ambiance. The fireplaces are lovely.
It was a lovely evening! Great good, wine and service.
Wonderful ambiance and beautiful setting. Food left a little to be desired given the setting and expectations.
This is the 2nd time my husband has taken me to this restaurant. It is very beautiful and quaint. Great place for a nice romantic date!
My girlfriend and I visited here as a late Valentine’s Day dinner. My girlfriend is vegan, so she typically has fewer options when we go out and eat. The staff here was very accommodating, with the chef actually tweaking the vegetarian tasting menu for her. Our waitress, I don’t remember her name, was so great. The food itself was phenomenal as well. We both had the tasting menu option, hers vegan and mine normal, and a couple of drinks a piece. I will say, the price ended up being pretty expensive. Had the price just been based on the food, I wouldn’t say it was worth it. Taking everything into consideration though, 100% worth it. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
The service was acceptable for this level restaurant but I should not have had to find the waitperson to order another glass of wine. We were seated near the entrance to the lobby and with the front entrance door opened often on a chilly night the air and noise was tolerable, but not romantic or intimated. Ask for a room to one side I would advise.
We went for Valentine’s Day, which I understand is one of the worst nights of the year to dine out, but we happened to be staying at the hotel for two days and made a reservation for the prix fixe dinner. It was very pricey, but delicious, and the service was outstanding, if a bit rushed due to the volume of diners. I was very disappointed to be seated in an ante room, the former sun porch, overlooking the coat check and parking lot, especially as I had requested something scenic and even stopped down to the restaurant that afternoon to ask where we would be seated. With two nights stay, a $135 per person dinner, wine, tip, and two nights in the adjoining bar we spent in the neighborhood of a thousand dollars for our stay and expected a better table. I’m sure we would have a better experience on a regular evening.
Great food, great service, very intimate environment. Would recommend!
I booked this evening for valentines day. All I can say is that the evening was top 5 most professional, timely, and delicious dining experiences Ive had. The wait staff was extremely well mannered, keeping a warm approachable attitude throughout the evening despite them obviously being slammed with people celebrating valentines day. Every plate came out no more than 5 minutes after I took the last bite of each decadent dish. I ordered the sirloin (rare) for the main course and I have to say, it was absolutely fabulous piece of meat. Every detail of my dining experience was attended to even so far as to my questioning of the nut situation on the desert (I have a peanut allergy). I most certainly will keep the mansion at turtle creek on my short list for luxurious evenings out when I want the absolute best.
Valentines Dinner. Service was mediocre, food was ok. The room was very awkward and quiet, we were so close to another couple we could hear their conversation and they could hear ours. Not ideal.
I have been a fan of The Mansion for 30 years but have to say it has gone down badly. Had not been there for sometime. The elegance is gone. Men in jeans with shirt tails hanging out in what once was Dallas most prestigious and elegant dining experience. Food was over cooked, boringly presented and less than I expect in any of Dallas many mid price places. Service was spotty, hostess did not know her job. Really and truly a sad state of affairs at a much loved venue. Sorry.
Thr food was excellent and so was the service. I would recommend this place for any special occasion
The staff is always very pleasant and attentive. The menu is innovative without being contrived. The main dining room is handsome while the terrace is a quiet setting with a lovely view.
Too expensive for what you get.
Once again, the Mansion did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the ambiance was elegant and tasteful and the staff was attentive, professional and offered great advice on the food and cocktails. We so appreciate each moment we spend in this Dallas treasure!
This is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. It was fabulous. I have dined in Rome,Paris,Germany,New York City, LA,Las Vegas many places so we were so pleased with this establishment. Please if you want a fine dining experience go to the mansion at turtle creek. Thank you fro our great meal and service.
Food not good especially for the price.. much better places in Dallas
The food and service are both outstanding! It’s a must for fine dining!
The vegetarian tasting menu was excellent!! Each tasting was unique and soooo delicious! My non-vegetarian friends were jealous!
Birthday was Great
I rewarded a few of my employees for volunteering and organizing department events throughout the year.
We had not been to the Mansion in several years. Beautiful setting and ambiance, but the food, although decent, is way overpriced, as well as the wine. Service was OK, not great. We were disappointed. This is not the same Mansion that we were used to. It is a shame!
Our family has never been to a Michelin-rated restaurant, and I was not aware exactly how spectacular the Mansion would turn out to be. It exceeded my expectations with an amazing risotto, mushroom tortellini, and bisque as well. As vegetarians, we all thoroughly enjoyed our tasters and the menu surpassed everyone's expectations. Typically, vegetarian options are limited and not high in quality. Every detail in each dish was evident: the flavors worked exquisitely with one another, in unexpected yet very savory and tasteful ways. Anyone who wants to cross going to a once in a lifetime experience should come to the Mansion. It was an unforgettable dining experience, and I will never be able to erase it!
