   The service and ambience was outstanding. We started with the trio of soups and the cheese platter. The cherry soup and the mushroom soup were amazing. The cheese platter was delicious and filling. My husband had the Chilean sea bass and he felt that the chilean sea bass did not pair well with the hoisin sauce. I had the pecan crusted chicken with was fantastic but I also did not think the sauce with the chicken was paired well. We shared the apple cobbler for dessert but were both disappointed that the skins were still on the apples making the dessert quite chewy. We will definitely give the restaurant a second try, but be more careful with our choices.

   Main issue was extra charge for bread and butter. Menu was sparse with limited choices Food was average and some of the entrees were too small. Dessert was good, and I personally loved the idea of paper straws although some others didn't like this idea at all. Beer was reasonably priced.

   Friends were visiting from NY and we wanted to treat them to a nice dinner experience in Gettysburg (Fairfield). Wat better place to do than the Mansion House. It was a delightful evening.

   Greater by hostess said our waitress would be right over (gave her name). After ~ 10 minutes waiting I ask a waitress if she new (name). Said it was her hostess didn’t tell her we were her table. Talking to our waitress, who was great, another came over and told her she had another table. I stated she will be right there Kai finishing a conversation with us. After, when our waiter returned she seemed different - best guess is she was given the business by someone (JMO). Overall, food was very good, enjoyed the dinner

   Worth the ride from Gettysburg. I had the crab cakes and they were great. Heather was a charming and very good server. I saved room for the amish apple pie. Totally fantastic dining experience.

   We came as a family of nine for Easter lunch while on vacation. This location not only accommodated our large party and mindful of the children, but our server interacted with one of our seven children and made them feel included as well. We were so impressed! We will definitely return when we're back in the area!

    Went for a birthday dinner. Sat in the Tavern area because Thursday is live music night and we weren't sure how loud it would be. We could hear the music, but it wasn't too loud (and sounded good). Had the salmon entree and it was cooked perfectly. As always, we split an Asian Eggroll - a favorite and quite tasty.     A definite highlight to our trip to Gettysburg - and a must do!! The mansion house is one of the oldest buildings in America. Rich in history. Exceptional cuisine, and the best service. The owner/executive chef was kind enough to show us around the property after our meal and shared some of its rich history with us. We will definitely return!

    The food and service were outstanding. Liz was our server and she was amazingly accommodating and so good with our 2 children. Chef Kenney walked around to every table to greet patrons as did the other owner Cindy.

    Took my in-laws for dinner and everyone enjoyed their meal. We’re going back in a few days for my wife’s birthday dinner so we can try different entries as they all looked great. Generous helpings too.

    Unfortunately service was a bit slow, my pork chop was uncooked. I didn’t get pork chop back till coffee came. By then, friends done. Comped coffee for entree I couldn’t eat. Then, friend ordered cocktail instead of coffee. She never received. We had to ask when bill was being settled. We had to ask for refund-not offered. Really disappointing.

    Our waitress Cindy was wonderful. She’s working until February and then joining the Air Force. Enjoyed speaking with her. Our dining room was very quiet and open. Nice experience; nice dinner and drinks.

    Though the historic ambiance of the Mansion House draws one to dine here, I was under impressed with the food. My salmon was a bit under cooked and the mashed potatoes were dry. Great service but pricey for what you get.

    my wife and I celebrated our 38 wedding anniversary at the Mansion House. We had a wonderful time and a fantastic meal. The waitress and hostess both congratulated us on our anniversary and provided each of us a complimentary drink and made us feel more than welcome. They were kind enough to place us in a dining area further away from pub and its entertainment so as to give us a more relaxing and more romantic ambiance for our special evening. If we're back in the Fairfield/Gettysburg area again we will be sure to return to the Mansion House

    The food was awful. The coffee was so weak it looked like tea and had the consistency of colored water. It was also cold. We were surprised that tacos showed up wrapped in aluminum foil, bacon was overcooked, rubbery and too highly candied, biscuits were tasteless and too "crumbly." In addition the restaurant took an 11 am reservation and confirmed it. When we arrived we were told that the chef - and I use that word loosely - had just shown up, the coffee had not been started and he or she had not yet determined the vegetable for the day (we never found out what that vegetable was). If the restaurant was not prepared for guests at 11 am they should not have taken that reservation. I rarely, if ever, complain about a restaurant but this meal - our waitress, who was responsive and helpful, aside - was catastrophic. Two of us live in Vermont and two of us live in Northern Virginia. It was a long way to come to be so disappointed. I would never recommend the restaurant and certainly don't plan on returning.

    I was disappointed in the serving size for the glass of wine. I also was disappointed that they didn’t have a cheese board option for 2 people and that you had to pay for bread if you wanted it with dinner.

    If you are in Gettysburg, don’t miss this restaurant. I am absolutely a foodie and this restaurant is one you don’t want to pass up. From the bread to the amazing peach cobbler ( even if you aren’t big on peach cobbler - this one is one you don’t want to pass up). The owner is happy to talk to you about the history of the establishment — which is also a hotel. We loved it so much that we made reservations for the next day. They do not disappoint.

    Highly recommend. Whenever we go to Gettysburg my husband and I always make it a point to eat here. We have never had a bad meal and the deserts are delicious. I recommend getting the cheese board as an appetizer
