The Mansion House 1757, offers a true hospitality experience with a Boutique Inn, Farm-to-Table restaurant and personalized customer service. The Historic Inn is located just 7 miles outside of downtown Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and is nestled by the Blue Ridge Mountains. We have been coming to the Fairfield Inn as a family since 1969. Overall, was a very nice experience for a celebration.

This is a charming restaurant in a civil war era home, converted into a restaurant. The setting is charming and old-fashioned...in a good way. The ambiance is quiet and relaxing. My wife had the she crab soup, which she said was outstanding. She also had the shrimp etouffee, which she also thoroughly enjoyed. I had a harvest salad that was delicious, and a Delmonico steak. I had high hopes for the steak, since this is a farm to table restaurant and the beef was from a local farm. Unfortunately, the steak was only ok. They cooked it to the medium rare I requested (which is not always a given), but the beef was tough and chewy. Not something I expected from a Delmonico cut. But a shout out to the management. Our server knew we were going to a concert at 8, and made sure our service was prompt. We arrived for our 6pm reservation and walked out the door at 7:20, with ample time to get to the concert. I had left that in the remarks section of my reservation. This was one of only a few restaurants we have dined at who actually read the remarks section before we got there. Thumbs up to them for that.

Beautiful location. All the food was top tier. Best farm to table food we’ve had in a long time, and we are farmers.

Great ambience, nice and quiet. Welcomed. Food ok...steak a little overdone and tough. Crab cakes tasted a little fishy.
