I attended yesterday for brunch which was really nice. All staff were friendly and the table service was great. However, I am very disappointed in how the bouncer (female) dealt with me and my friend in the toilet. Her attitude was appalling and extremely rude. I am aware that there was a queue but the way the bouncer rushed me and my friend out was not acceptable. Firstly, we went into the same cubicle so you can’t expect us to be as fast as just one person using the toilet as there was 2 of us. Secondly, my friend had a catheter bag to empty hence why it took a little longer. The bouncer showed no willing to listen and be understanding and instead told us to leave. I am not happy with how this was dealt with
My new fave place to eat... I ordered far more than I could eat! One of the side dishes was broccoli, I have never known broccoli of all things to taste sooo good! Love it! I boxed up what was left and can't wait to finish it off tonight 😂
Mans Market is a lovely place to eat when you crave some authentic Chinese/Hong Kong food. The atmosphere and the decor are spot on, and so are the staffs. Food arrived quite quick, we order a portion of dumplings, along with the Roast Duck Bao (which were absolutely amazing!!!), Crispy Beef and Egg fried rice. All of that left the two of us rolling out of their door 😆. We’ll definitely come back for other dishes.
Like your favourite Chinese takeaway but 1000 times better
Not a great experience and on my birthday too, due to the menu being halved as the burners were not working and as only notified 10 minutes before arriving with 12 people, didn't have the opportunity to rearrange. The full menu was back when we were leaving but we weren't offered a discount on the day for the inconvenience nor were we offered discount for a future return visit which was disappointing, as normally the whole group have previously enjoyed the other part of the menu. As a result, due to the poor efforts of customer care on the day, this is reflected in my review.
Food was ok, some meals were better than others
I am a regular at Man's Market as the service and food have always been great. However, upon our last visit (17th October) the service was very poor, young kids who have not been taught the basics in how to serve and be prompt with customers.
The chef's in the kitchen were working very hard, however the staff working the pass were very slow, disorganized and most importantly very unhygienic, they were using bare and dirty hands to place food onto plates, for the plates to then stand for a good 5 to 7 minutes before they were taken to waiting tables.
Unfortunately I will most likely not return for a while, due to the unhygienic nature of food prep and the v sloppy service...a real shame as it was a gem
Fantastic food and atmosphere . Would definitely return .
Really lovely food snd great service. Bottomless Prosecco!
The food was pretty good and the ordering setup was fun and different. Pretty disappointing that they have no grown up non-alcoholic drink options other than coke/lemonade.
We went for bottomless brunch on Saturday afternoon. Good table. Really attentive service. We didn’t catch the guys name but he looked after us so much! Can’t wait to come back
This is the 2nd visit but very disappointed. The food was very chewy (beef) I had to send my plate back as it had food on it there wasn’t any atmosphere. We were a table of 7 and started a sing song which other tables joined in but was told to be quiet needless to say we won’t be coming back.
Really fubky place to eat with lots of choice. All fokr very tasty. Price per dish given portion size is a bit expensive
Over 1 year since our last visit due to pandemic and did not disappoint. Love this place. Ps. Bring back your round the world curry please .
We will be back very soon
Mans Markets is my favourite restaurant, food is always amazing, really friendly service and value for money. Love the pen idea where you write your order and drinks down, that way there is no rush to decide etc.
Nice food. Disappointed there was no chips or prawn crackers available and also out of wine I wanted.
Good food. Good value. Nice staff. Clean venue. Good atmosphere.
Exceptional service, really tasty food and also good drink deals (5 beers for £15? Yes please). Would definitely recommend the deep fried aubergine starter and the salt and pepper chips are to die for.
one word for this place AMAZING !! Definitely recommend
Food was amazing.
Felt let down by the service. We were seated then just left with no explanation of how the bottomless brunch worked. Waited for 20 mins before managing to flag down a server.
For a busy Saturday afternoon it was severely understaffed.
There were 3 large groups in which were beyond noisy so my friend and I struggled to converse properly. Even 1 of the servers admitted to us that it was too loud.
I would have asked to move tables but unfortunately there was no room
Good value for money, service was quick and fast. Bottomless brunch was very well explained and worth the money. Would return again.
Absolutely love my first time at mans market. Staff, food and service was perfect! 100% would go back!
- best salt and pepper chicken I’ve ever had !
The food was either great (crispy chilli beef and crispy duck) or terrible (Panko tofu bao buns and believe it or not edamame - not sure how you get that wrong). The service was really poor and staf were grouped together chatting especially towards end of the night. There were many tables that needed clearing and when we arrived they chose to tidy the one right in the back near the kitchen where they could ignore you. Food sat under hot lamps for ages before being served, took over an hour for ours to come and we were the last group in. I’d go back, but not with any expectation of it being better than good.
Usually really enjoy it here however the mains we ordered lacked in flavour. The beef teriyaki was quite bland and overall food was not as good as it used to be.
A shame as it’s a lovely place, just won’t be visiting for a while.
The restaurant is overall really good and would definitely go back. Only downside was the sharing platters were not as big as we thought for the money but will just remember that for next time.
Very good overall, very tasty, but the sharing pans are not very generous quality wise
Very reliable and enjoyable food in a friendly and good fun setting
Man’s used to be quite special. It’s now average. Portions smaller, food not as good. Seems like they want the brunch market rather than actual decent food. Shame cos I loved this place.
Starters were amazing, but unfortunately the starters were much better than our mains.
But I have been to the restaurant previously and loved everything so not sure what it was this time.
Good selection of well presented and tasty food. Great cocktails too.
Finally found Crispy Chilli Beef how it should be!! Superb atmosphere, service and food! Highly recommend
Great choice of food. All that we tried was very tasty. The best thing is that you do t need to order everything at one time. We ordered a few smaller dishes to share and then decided how much more we needed, put up our ‘feed me’ card and got some larger dishes to share. Crispy chilli beef is highly recommended
A relaxed atmosphere with good food. Staff were friendly and service was quick. A very enjoyable afternoon!
I lived in Hong Kong for three years and I miss it dearly. I would like to think I know my way around Cantonese cuisine and Dim Sum in particular. My sister and I were really looking forward to this meal and have never been so disappointed with the quality of the food. It was a Saturday so it was brunch day and the dumplings looked second hand and the prawns were not edible. The service from Alli in particular (he looks like Damon Albarn) was great. This is not a place to drink wine.
Amazing as always! Me and my friends went a triple date with our boyfriends! Was the perfect atmosphere and the food is always so good! Thank youu!
Great welcome, seated fast and food was delivered quickly.
Would highly recommend a visit for a different experience than the normal.
I always recommend Mans Market to my friends, been a few times now and the crispy beef is just *chefs kiss*
Great food and service all for a good price.
The food is 10/10 delicious. I definitely recommend this place if you’re ever in Leeds this is the place to eat
Loved it! Quick service, food was amazing and lovely atmosphere
