Manpuku Tokyo BBQ - West Hollywood

My friend and I were looking for a Japanese bbq place but many places are open for take out only. I had been to Manpuku Tokyo bbq at West Hollywood before. I was surprised that they have outdoor seating for dine in and the food was the same as I remembered last time. Very good service and cozy.

This was our second visit-as we live fairly close by-it’s just phenomenal! The food is fantastic the best cuts of different types of beef, you cook on the grill. Melts in your mouth—the garlic rice is the best rice hands down I’ve had in LA!!!! The Shishito peppers are like potato chips, you cannot stop! Last but not least, the service...it’s equally has fabulous-attentive and friendly staff- always a pleasure...Manpuku Tokyo BBQ is amazing-go there, you won’t be disappointed!

The meat is FRESH

This was our first time here as we normally go to Gyu-Kaku. We loved that they had grills set up outside. Food was amazing and the staff was excellent! Great service! We are going back Friday!!!

Food was top notch! We live in Miami and can’t find this type of Japanese grill there! We enjoyed the foods a lot and service was excellent!

I loved Manpuku Tokyo BBQ! My mouth waters just thinking about it! I can't wait to return. My only complaint is that the staff seemed to be rushing us (which I guess is
better than slow service!).

Amazing every time!!!

Food was amazing as always but they had made some changes to what we were allowed to order as three people. We couldn’t substitute from the set menu like we always do. Nothing crazy just wanted to change the soup for some corn and that was out of the question which is really a shame. They kept forgetting to bring our drinks for about 45 minutes we didn’t even get our water which is not good. I eat there a lot but haven’t been back for a while. Service was definitely not on top tonight. We got all our sides out pretty quick but they were slacking on the meats which is the main attraction. Noise level was through the roof it was hard to hear the person on the other side of the table. However the food is so incredibly good!

Highly recommended. Never ate meat so effortlessly. All the sides were just as delicious. Try the wakame salad. On the pricey side so be prepared but a great place to brings guests. They will be talking about the food for days.

Went here to celebrate a friends new job and it was awesome. We had reservations so only had a short wait. Food here is awesome and presentation is top notch. We had great servers and an excellent evening. Parking is always an adventure in this neighborhood, even worse on Black Friday.

The food here is amazing! The service was also great. The only downside was the dessert. Next time i'll skip that. Loved everything else though! Def recommend this place.

知人からここの焼肉が美味しいとの評判を聞き予約をして来店。お店の雰囲気もよく清潔で男性の店長さん？の接客がとても良かった。アメリカには韓国風の酸っぱいキムチしか食べることができないので、日本風の甘辛いキムチを食べることができ嬉しかった。このクオリティの焼肉がアメリカで食べられるとなると繁盛する理由が分かります。またLAに旅行に来た際には寄りたいです。

Great service. Food was good, but overpriced for the amount.

The Kobe beef is not really Kobe beef. Even in the A5 set, only one or two kinds of meet is considered kobe beed ( and still not the best part/cut)

I won't go here again even company pays for it.

This food is out of this world. I was surprised because chains typically rate between 2 and 3 stars in my book but everything was absolutely perfect. Meat was tender, great options of different grades of meat. The appetizers were amazing. Just felt like a high end experience all around. We loved it so much that we went back the following evening. Well done!

Food was great specially for value. Top dishes were snake river farm wagyu ribeye, Kobe beef uni sashimi, and skirt steak, but the other side dishes like the spicy miso soup and lychee ice cream were really good. Only thing is I was expecting the servers to make most of the food but only the shrimp was until the waiter realized it was our first time and helped us out at first. But cooking it wasn’t hard. Definitely get the sesame oil dip with minced garlic salt and pepper, probably my favorite one.

The service was excellent, the food was just ok.

Excellent food, great service and a nice casual spot.

The food and service were both exceptional!

Fantastic place. Their sukiyaki beef with rice balls are a must try. We ended up ordering two rounds of them. The value of money was great given the quality of their meat. The servers are always happy to talk to us about the best way to cook each type of meat. We really enjoyed our time there.
