Manor Hill Tavern
Our Head Chef strives to use seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible, including herbs and vegetables from our farm. Our distinctive menu is highlighted by a custom-built brick oven for neopolitan-style pizzas and more. We serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week, as well as brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
We proudly serve beers from Manor Hill Brewing, Howard County’s first farm brewery. Manor Hill beers are hand-made on our farm using original and unique recipes. The result is aromatic, hop forward farmhouse style beers.
Always great food and service! The food is accompanied by great prices too! Easily one of my favorite places to eat!
Great wings. The crab pizza was outstanding. Our server, Cara was pleasant, helpful and entertaining all at same time. Next Time in Ellicott City we will be back. Thanks Cara.
Only ordered appetizers, but the food was excellent and the service was friendly. Will definitely return!
Went for brunch for the first time and it was amazing. The Maryland State Fair appetizer (fried dough and crab dip) was delicious as always. I got the Chicken and Waffle Benedict and it was so oddly amazing. Somehow everything worked together with the salty and sweet and savory. The only things that could’ve been improved were the service (the server only had a few tables, but still didn’t come around much for some reason) and the iced tea (I like it unsweetened and don’t add sugar, but it was made so strong I could barely drink it). Will definitely be going back for brunch again soon!
Great food, and the beat IPA in Maryland
Great place to eat and beautiful location, food was awesome
Dining with friends on a very busy Saturday night. Food, drinks and service were good as always. Glad we made a reservation...we needed it!
We enjoyed a light evening meal (shared pizza and a fabulous Cobb salad). We completely enjoyed the food, as well as a couple of beers from their nice selection. It was not busy and service was very good.
Cool restaurant, quick excellent service, fantastic beer samplers, highly recommend crab funnel and crab and sausage pizza!
I’ve heard great things about Manor Hill Tavern, so my friends and I decided to go check it out. Unfortunately, the overall experience was lousy. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks (water and beer) and around 45 minutes to get our appetizer (a quesadilla). The server asked if we wanted our appetizer before our meal, and we said yes, yet both came out at the same time. At the end of dinner, our server gave us our check and never came back around to complete the transaction.
I don’t like to complain, but I feel as though this should be addressed/brought to the restaurants attention - I do not want others to experience this! The restaurant was not busy while we were there, and we were very confused as to why our server was inattentive.
The server and the food were fantastic. The beer, the salad, the chicken sandwich and the pizza were delicious. Nothing we ate was bad. Can’t wait to go back.
Food was definitely overpriced; it tasted just fine but we definitely felt like we paid too much for what we got. They seem to apply one flavor to everything. The mac & cheese was lackluster.
Farm to table with down home ambiance! Booths are constructed from original building materials in this 18th Century setting. Old Town Ellicott City is the real “charm” of Baltimore. Excellent food and beverages.
Our party of 6 had a very nice evening at Manor Hill Tavern. Service was very good, and the food and drink were very tasty. Only criticism was the stark difference in size of chicken portions served with three identical salad options. The fried chicken portion was enormous, the grilled chicken a perfect size, but the beer can chicken, which had simply been described as a pulled smoke chicken, was a very small portion of diced chicken served in a salad dressing metal cup - it contained barely 2 oz of meat, if that much. One guest left still feeling hungry and If portion size had been explained at the time of ordering, the beer can chicken option would not have been selected.
Our server Sarah was phenomenal! We can’t wait to visit again, and best wishes to Sarah as she moves tin CA! She will be missed!
Excellent place and will be back. Seems like one of the kitchens was having a rough night so our food came out at different times but the server kept checking for us- would give it another chance, as the food was really good.
Great service. Good selection of wines and beers. A little pricey but consistent with the area.
2nd visit in one week. Seated upstairs this time. Not much view but great for a dinner date with friends I haven’t seen in awhile. There’s enough space between tables so you can don’t have to worry about bumping into someone or overhearing their entire conversation! Highly recommend Bagel and Lox salad. Sangria was ok but their other cocktails are delicious.
The next table over was very noisy when we arrived. They left soon thereafter and it was pleasant. Service was great, food very tasty and catered to our request for changes. We have already recommended your restaurant .
Loved the atmosphere. Parking was a little tough. The good was tasty.
Great restaurant in charming Old Ellicott City. Great crafted beers and interesting food combinations. Yummy and fun. Definitely check it out!
The Bacon Fat Fries with Molasses Ketchup delicious!!! a must have. Food and drinks were very good. We made reservations for Friday @ 6:30 which wasn't needed at that time but by the time we left it was packed. It's close to the big parking lot so parking wasn't a problem either. Will definitely be back!
Ate here with my son, the food was great. He’s a picky eater and he loved it.
The burger and bacon fries were AHMAZING!!! I love that they put smoked Gouda in the burger patty. It was delicious!! We had a great date night there.
Always consistent. Always amazing. It’s always Manor for us!
Food, beer, wine and service were excellent. S’mores dessert was to die for!!
Food and service are consistently good. Restaurant week specials but we stuck to the regular menu. The salmon blt on special menu sounded great though. Favorite sandwich is the “bird is the word” and just tried the Cuban sandwich which was really tasty too.
Enjoyed some wonderful Restaurant Week offerings at lunch. Tuna nachos were amazing! Great experince... will return.
I took a little while to get the food but when we did get it, It was good. The brussels sprouts were not nearly as good as the ones at Victoria's Gastro Pub. It was a little tight at the table, a lot of tables cramped into a small area.
Our server was so sweet! The pizza was super good and the funnel cake appetizer was a fun treat! Will definitely go back
Great food, great service.
Second time in about a week. We requested Hannah again. Again, great service.! Yes, the food was really good.
Hannah was the best server we have ever had here. She managed all her tables and was timely, attentive, and knowledgeable.
You should put Nueske’s bacon on your pizza. It would be a home run.
Burgers were excellent.
My brothers and I (and their spouses) took Mom for Dinner Friday night. Very enjoyable evening. Quaint location - good food!!!
We come often and always enjoy ourselves. The music in the bar is just a bit too loud. It makes it hard to converse at all.
Our first visit, but we went with other couples who had been to Manor Hill previously. The food was fantastic, service was outstanding (Keith!) and we didn't feel like we were too loud/amongst louder patrons. We will definitely be back!
The funnel cake with crab dip is amazing!!!
I had a coconut mojito to start which was refreshing. The crabcake was fresh and tasty; it could have had more lump crab meat. The watermelon salad was delicious.
Went for Sunday lunch/brunch. Great food, great service. Room was only half full but it is noisy, only negative thing I have to say. Looking forward to a return visit.
