Mannino's Cucina Italiana
Not only was the food delicious and just perfect, but also very timely. We had a show at the Pitman Theater to go to. What a great night!
I had th Faroe Salmon over Linguine and my husband had the Veal Oscar. Highly recommend both!
Our first time here even though we live nearby. We didn’t know it was byob but they had decently priced bottles of wine so no big deal. Food was delicious!
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience apart from the fact that the wine choices were limited to 3 types all from NJ wineries. Meh.
Overpriced . we quite often dine in South Phila and these prices are way more for lesser quality.
We love everything about this restaurant! The food is excellent, everyone is friendly and accommodating, and the vibe of the restaurant just makes you feel welcome and relaxed. I love this restaurant so much I don’t even mind when my husband says Mannino’s lasagna is better than mine.
We always go to Mannino's Pizza (which is the best pizza around! We are originally from north Jersey). So decided to try Mannino's Cucina....excellent, delicious, lovely and friendly. The ambiance is calming and comfortable. Linda and Oscar made the evening. They are hospitable, friendly and make sure you have everything you need. The food is delicious. We started with the mozzarella and prosciutto plate. Fresh and delicious. For dinner I had the homemade gnocchi and my husband had the veal Ossoboco. Again, both dinners were fresh and delicious. Cooked to perfection. Bread pudding for dessert was the perfect ending. The service was better than expected. There is absolutely nothing we would change about our experience there. Highly recommend.
The food was incredible but the service was average.
We were very pleased with our meals on our last visit to Mannino's. The seafood was cooked to perfection. The chicken and pasta with Alfredo sauce was excellent. Everyone was very happy with their selections> Our server did a very good job and was able to provide good service without being intrusive.
The food was really good but we felt a little overpriced for the portion size. When we finished dinner we were talking among ourselves for probably five minutes when we were asked to leave because they had other reservations I’ve never had that happen anywhere else.
Very noisy. Great food and good service on a busy Saturday night.
Menu was not what was posted on open table. Food was not very good. Both my friend and I did not like our entree's which were overpriced and not good at all.
The food was decent but definitely not worth the price. I’m pretty sure there was only two waiters as they rushed by and just dropped things on the table on their way by. The waiter seemed annoyed when my girlfriend asked about wine. He said I’ll come back when you make your decision. My steak was just ok but I expected a lot more for a 40 dollar steak. The side dish was tiny. I will say the desert was delicious though. Overall tho I was disappointed and the $150 bill for just an ok meal was upsetting. Maybe their other dishes are better but don’t waste your money on the steak.
Very good food and excellent service! I’m on keto diet so I was worried the food option would be too carb heavy but I found great options and we both had excellent meals. The tables felt a bit close but it was Valentine’s Day so assuming the spacing is better other times? All in all a really good meal at a very fair price!
Attentive service and fantastic food made for an enjoyable meal.
The restaurant didn’t have many people in it and our service was very slow. Wasn’t sure what that was about, but the food was good as always.
The food was excellent, as was the service. I had the Farro Salmon which was prepared with a light red sauce, sun dried tomatoes, capers, kalamata olives, and served over capellini. My husband chose the Drunken Seafood Risotto, which could almost feed two people. He had a choice of red or white sauce. It was exemplary!
We had a birthday dinner and it was great!
Mannino's food is very good. This particular night I was out with the girls and we all got the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad which was one of the best I have ever had. The chicken had a great flavor and there was plenty of it. We got there early so it was quiet but as the night went on, it got very loud that you couldn't hear what people at your table was saying. I am glad they get the crowds but if your there for conversation, get there early.
We had dinner before our show at the broadway theater. Service was great and food was delicious. Serving size was perfect. Nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
Food was quite good but it was pretty noisy. Although the food was really good, I felt it was a bit pricey. Over $100 for 2 people with tip without drinks for non seafood or steak meals is just too much money. If the prices were a bit lower I’d give this place 5 stars. It’s one small room so they can’t account for crowd noise.
This was our first time here, my maid of honor and I needed a place to eat after looking at the florist in town. This was the perfect place, the wait staff is friendly and considerate. The waitress asked if we had a show to go to, to be sure she got us out on time.... but we didn’t. Food was great and so was the tiramisu dessert! Delicious!
This was an exciting find for us. The Italian entres were wonderful. My wife and I were both impressed with the quality and the tastes. My tortellini in rosa sauce, cooked to a perfect al dente, was simply the best, preceded by a heaping arugula and fig salad in oil. My wife's crepe pasta bathed in a tomato-based sauce with cream was its equal. We were trying this restaurant before an afternoon Pitman Broadway performance and ate far too much! We'll be back!! Oscar was the perfect host--knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive. BYOB-- a good wine!
The service was and food were excellent. My husband has Celiac and they are able to accommodate him. He has never has a reaction from eating here!
Living in Pitman, Mannino's (both the restaurant and their pizza place at the other end of Broadway) are welcome additions to our dining scene. Cucina Italiana in particular has proven to be a reasonably-priced and consistently good dining option before shows or as a family gathering dining destination. I get the puttanesca almost every time because it is so darn good. BYOB and they have some reasonably priced wine options from Sharrott Winery.
The food is incredible. The gnocchi’s are home made and they are the best that I have ever had. My only disappointment is that five of us were squashed into a four-person table which was uncomfortable.
nice BYOB Italian restaurant in quaint Pitman downtown. not a pizza type place - Servers were very good - enjoyed the Osso Bucco and the veal Marsala. Calamari was very good. Pasta was fine though did not taste like restaurant made. New year's Eve dinner - disappointment that we were seated 30 minutes after the time of our 8:15 open table reservation. hostess was considerate about this -
Phenomenal in every aspect! Top notch service and quality! Excellent service and truly accommodating. A hidden gem in our area. True olde school Italian! Highly recommended!
We have gone to Mannino's for year and the food was always excellent. Unfortunately this time it was horrible. I do understand it was New Years Eve (we have gone there previous New Years Eve's and never had an issue). Our fried calamari this year was mushy and the batter was literally falling off of it. My husband order a medium rare steak and it came out completely rare and ice cold in the middle. Finally my crème brulle was horrible. It was ice cold and appeared to be made in advance. The sugar topping was not hard and so disgusting.
I understand that you would want to prep your food in advance but this was horrific. I will probably never go back and I was a loyal customer for many years.
When I arrived with my party of 6 I was met with very angry people that have been waiting over 1 hour for their reservation. After waiting over 20 minutes I had to track down the hostess to tell her I was here and that my reservation was for 7. I was told that they were running an hour behind because a party of 12 arrived one hour late. Unfortunately I had a manager from a well known restaurant in Gloucester County with our party and he was addressing and trying to explain the situation to your customers that were waiting. I must say when we were finally shown (45 minutes after my reservation) to a table the food was very good. I am hoping this was just an isolated problem and might give it a try again.
Tasty food, very clean but little pricey
I made reservations several days in advance and when my wife and I arrived 15 minutes early, we were seated in my. The restaurant was very busy with many holiday parties being celebrated.
The waiter was busy with several large parties; however, he did treat us okay. The food was good even though it took a while to be served. We had more than enough food and took some home.
I felt that the price was a little high considering the room was noisy and the food compared to a good, not great, restaurant.
This was our first visit and will probably be our last.
If you are having a party and do not mind the loud noise level, this would be a good place to go, especially if the company were paying the bill.
Food was good, service was very good, value was not good
Food was very overpriced considering quality and quantity
Based on comparable restaurants, food was overpriced by about 30%
No need to go back
We have been here a number of times while attending shows at the Pitman Theater.
Made a reservation for 6:15pm and arrived to find they were backed up due to people not leaving their tables from earlier reservations. Had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes which was not a problem though a couple of people were not happy.
The food is always great here but we did find it was a lot more salty than previous trips here.
We had a great waitress and the rest of the staff was very attentive.
The next time we go we will make sure to ask them to try and cut down on the salt added to the meals.
The prices have gone up a bit more from our last visit during the spring, but worth it for the good food and FYI, great bread!
This was our first time dining at Mannino"s. We were pleasantly surprised. Eggplant parm was excellent. Super sauce! Pasta with clams was another winner with small, tasty baby clams and loads of them. Will absolutely refun. A gem in a small town!
a lot of dinners were being brought back into the kitchen, including mine. Over priced. Room temperature
water and no house salad with meal.
This was a great restaurant! We wanted something fairly close to the Pitman Theater and Mannino's was excellent. Nice service and friendly environment. I would recommend and definitely go again.
I have a very hard time finding places that will prepare good food for me according to my dietary needs. From my first visit, this chef was more than willing and had the knowledge to do it. Every time I've gone, everyone has thoroughly enjoyed their meal.
The Italian food we had was very good. I don't recommend the cheese steak egg rolls. The dough was greasy and over cooked. The seafood bisque was outstanding; shrimp, calamari, crab and fish in a light bisque was delicious. I did have to ask for olive oil for my bread.
