We enjoyed an excellent meal. Our waiter and waitress were attentive. Our number one restaurant of choice!
Exceptionally fresh product skillfully managed and delivered in an intimate, friendly setting. Lots of variety and, of course, numerous takes on "moules-frites" likely to please many palates. Came to about $50 per person, drinks and coffee included.
Birthday and Mother’s Day. Wonderful evening that ended with the server giving me a beautiful rose.
Steak frites, a simple staple of every Belgian menu was the WORST I’ve ever had, & I lived in Belgium. “Steak” was tougher than shoe leather! & they did not automatically remove the charge when brought to the attention of 2 different staff members.
They even charged me for a bottle of wine instead of the glass I ordered.
My guest & I would never return nor recommend Mannequin Pis restaurant in Olney, MD. And we had so looked forward to enjoying it.
The best French fries ever! And the homemade mayo....ridiculous!! I haven’t been here in years but now I’m coming back all the time. The mussels were awesome too!
We had friends with us who fully enjoyed our meals. Tuesday night is 1/2 price wine night so that was a plus as we enjoyed a full bottle among the six of us. Mussels are always good. Soups are great as well.
Have to go back for the wonderful waterzooi; thick with seafood loved it-dark sweet & spicy. Lamb sausage was a bit overcooked but the creamy salsify was great side dish.
Perfect hideaway. Great food and beers.
Great small restaurant. Very intimate and food is good, get the mussels.
A delightful dining experience! Enjoyed the delicious mussels pots-Popeye and Snob--with frites. Wonderful selection of Belgian beers. Brussels sprouts on the side were so tasty! Service was superb. Next time we'll try the desserts! Look forward to a return visit soon!
Outstanding in every respect except it is too expensive. $15 for a beer?
Food is always excellent and service is great. They have an excellent variety of Belgium beers to choose.
WENT FOR THE MUSSELS, EXCELLENT.
MEET THE PEOPLE AT THE NEXT TABLE, MADE THE EVENING COMPLETE
Superlative service delivers great food in a delightful atmosphere. The Belgian menu is quite a treat, with liberal use of garlic and butter, anointing seafood and steak alike. French fries (Belgian Pommes Frites) are served with a side of mayonnaise. Specialty beers and European wines abound.
Great atmosphere and food. The mussels, sausage and soup was very good. We’ll be back for another meal.
Fantastic experiences, fabulous food and wait staff!
Food was excellent. Service was prompt, not rushed. Food was preferred at a good pace. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.
this restaurant will always be one of my very favorites of anywhere i've ever lived, ever! the food is
simply exquisite and everyone there so attentive and happy to see your pleasure. 5 star forver!
Food was not as good as usual (trout was overdone), though the mussels and Belgian waffles were delicious. They need to have better nonalcoholic drinks. Otherwise a very good dinner.
The best mussel pot around, all are so good. Service is excellent too!
My wife and I were out at the beer farm. I wanted dinner.
I decided to try Manequin Pis. What a surprise! I never knew it existed. We arrived and were greeted very warmly and shown to our table.
The sever was so friendly and professional that I forgot I was out at a restaurant! He was very thorough and knowledgeable in helping us choose our meal.
I felt like we were the only people there but the place was packed!
I don’t know Belgian food but, the food was delicious!
If you are in Olney, or in the area, you owe it to yourself to go!
Five stars is not enough stars! Enjoy!
I went to have dinner with my wife. We didn't know the restaurant but we were very pleased. The ambiance was good (you feel like in a french bistro), the food well prepared and delicious. The wine list has moderate good prices and a good variety. Overall, we were very happy to have discovered this unpretentious but excellent restaurant and we will go back for sure.
Wonderful as always. This little oasis of Belgium in a hidden strip mall in Olney could be charging 2-3 times their current prices if they were in DC, and it would still be worth it. Their signature mussels were fantastic, and the Dover sole was absolutely delicious. Tables are tightly packed in a small space, but that just adds to the European charm.
Great food and service. Enjoyed the variety of flavors for the mussel pots!
Food was delicious! Was a little skeptical because of location, but as they say “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Waiter was attentive and informative, said restaurant has been at same location for 20 years.
One of the servers was lovely, but the other one (a female) had a total lack of personality. I don't believe that she wanted to be there...
We enjoyed our three course dinner, terrific selections to choose from.
I was a disappointed that i indicated on the reservation that it was my husband and my wedding anniversary and no attempt was made to recognize it.
It's always a pleasure to dine at Mannequin Pis. The food quality and service is excellent.
We do not eat mussels, but we still had a great meal - delicious salad and sea bass. The atmosphere is really lovely. Our server seemed a bit inexperienced, but he was still very sweet. Great pre-show meal and experience!
Good attentive service. Good value and delicious meal! Loved our evening at Mannequin Pis!
Very enjoyable. The mussels on this particular evening were larger and plumper. Salads were
wonderful. Very nice dinner experience.
absolutely wonderful place .... one of my favorites.... the food is freshly made, the desserts are just amazing and if you enjoy wine... they have a great selection of very nice wines...
The service is wonderful....
I am gluten free and they were super attentive to my allergy.... great place for an intimate date or a group dinner. Great place to enjoy each others company and comfortably chat... just a wonderful dinner evening out...
We have heard a lot of great things about Mannequin Pi’s and finally made it there. I’m hoping we just had an off night. The service was extremely slow. Our waiter also seemed to be working as the bartender, making and serving drinks while also waiting tables. We waited long stretches for appetizers, entrees, and gave up on dessert after waiting and waiting for our plates to be cleared and the waiter to return. The mussels were amazing and lived up the hype. The lobster bisque was good, but the steak frites was just okay. The Steak was over cooked and the frites were unseasoned and a big disappointment. I’d come back for the mussels and hope the rest of our experience was a fluke.
Did not have any of the wines that were listed on the wine list or equivalent wines. Everything that was available was commercial rather than the smaller production wines listed. The wine list was a big reason we had gone.
Loved the dining experience here. Unfortunately, there was a table behind us that was extremely loud and unruly and upset my husband and one other guest who were closer physically to their table. I realize that restaurant owners do not want to discipline their guests, and it is not their fault, but where are the manners theses days?
Lovely little place - we have enjoyed every meal we have had there. Small and intimate- just the way we like it.
Great place. Fish always superb. Excellent mussels & great variety. Array of Belgian beers on tap.
Took our grandson for the first time and we all enjoyed our dinners and first courses.
Delicious food with great service.
Service and food are outstanding! Wonderful 3 course meal for $35. Lots to choose from.
