Literally the freshest, best blackened salmon I’ve ever had (and I eat a lot of fish in beach towns).
And the staff could not have been lovelier. A real unexpected surprise….we will be back within the month.
Amazing new add to the Hamptons food scene. Service and ambiance was stellar and the food exceptional. Really creative menu — we tried the ceviche, baked clams and hummus to start and daily catch, mussels and lobster ramen for main. Each and every dish was to die for. Can’t wait to go back (soon!)
Excellent addition to the area. The Lobster Inn was a classic. The folks at Manna at the Lobster Inn did a great job honoring that classic, while updating (not obliterating) the look and feel of the place and giving the kitchen a significant upgrade. The focus is on fresh, local seafood. Excellent baked clams, terrific mussels, simply grilled fish and raw bar. Nothing crazy ambitious here- just good food, a warm atmosphere, nice friendly service, and one of the only places nearby to eat with a Sunset view over the water. So so glad the spot wasn’t taken over by some ridiculously overpriced “scene.” They told me they’d be open year round. Go. Eat. Support this place so it becomes a classic too!
Quality of food was poor. Appetizer served without accompaniments listed on menu. Raw Scallion as crudités unacceptable. Dinner of fish and chips was served cold and red potatoes were not throughly cooked. Service was lax. Would not recommend.
Freshest oysters I’ve ever eaten. Smoked bluefish spread was very good. Service was attentive but inexperienced-which is true of almost every establishment due to the dirty of workers.
The splat was delicious and plenty for two
wine prices were very good
A nice spot for a casual dinner. The food was average. Catch of the day was a $32 piece of tilefish which was less than a quarter of a pound. —- barely an appetizer size portion. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere spacious and quiet. Let’s improve the food and the rest should follow!
I don’t drink so I was hoping for a tall glass of iced tea. They didn’t have it.
Salad was watery the lobster I added was good
My husband had the tile fish sandwich. The put coleslaw on it that made the bun soggy. Not good!
Ordered 2 desserts that never came. We were done with the coffee and no dessert.
One and done
Drink portions (draft beer in particular) were a bit skimpy, service was friendly but a little disorganized. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We would go back.
Lovely setting. This is the perfect kind of seafood restaurant. Very simply prepared fresh fish. The setting feels like A New England seafood restaurant on the water. Service very attentive and friendly. Nice cocktails. We’ll be back with some family and friends.
Nice to see this restaurant back with 10/10 seafood and good service. Touch pricey! But worth it
The food was amazing.
Excellent first visit to the new restaurant which used to be an oldie but goodie for us. Glad to see it open because it is around the corner from us just off 27. It should be a must stop in and out of the Southampton. The food was great the service was amazing. Will go again soon.
We were early diners at about 6pm on a Friday evening before it got crowded. We were seating upstairs. Our waiter had a mishap by spilling our drink order but he was extremely helpful and wound up comping is a couple of drinks. Had the baked clams and shrimp scampi as apps. Flames were very good but the while the shrimps in the scampi were large it lacked lemon and butter flavor and had too much bread crumbs in the mix. Two of us had the fluke millenaise. While the taste was good, one portion was literally double the size of the other. When we pointed this out to the waiter he quickly brought additional fluke for the lacking dish. The kitchen should have seen this before sending it out. So all in all it was a good dinner and we would happily return.
We were put upstairs with a party of 15 enjoying themselves as they should but we couldn’t hear one another. It was quite warm as well but we remembered that from the Lobster Inn. Two people had white clam sauce and said they weren’t thrilled. I had grilled sea bass it was not great. The tuna tartare was good. Perhaps sitting downstairs in the porch area would have added to the ambiance. We will never know as there is little reason to go back.
Awful all round - service very badfrom the moment we were kept waiting for 15 mins on arrival, food quality awful and inedible in some instances
its good place to have dinner and service is good. They employees are so polite and give food smiles. We would come back definitely. best wishes to this business place. Thank you.
Enter through Large bar area with healthful appetizer menu. Dining area
has nice water views. Menu favors
shellfish plus steak. Only “fresh” fish was salmon (overcooked) and breaded, fried fluke. Entrees come with salad. Everything else a la carte. Limited but good dessert menu. Decent drinks and wine list. Nice traces of former Lobster Inn in the decor. New parking area across street.
Wonderful new restaurant with creative dishes. Especially the small plates. The lobster ramen was a bit too inventive though, a bit confusing in taste.
They did a very nice job renovating, but 1 month since opening, their staff was very confused, and the food was subpar at best.
We always did the SPLAT in the past, and are happy to see that’s on the new menu. We will only get that going forward. We all chose individual entrees, and were all disappointed. The Carbonara was so thick, my husband didn’t eat much of it. My lobster ramen had many issues. The tofu was out of refrigerator cold when placed on top. Not at all brought to room temperature. The egg was cooked well with a nice yolk, but was also cold as though it was cooked earlier, then put in fridge till they wanted to use. The broth was also very thick more like a sauce. I felt I was eating a pasta dish, Vs a ramen. The lobster in the ramen was good. I ate about 1/3 of the ramen. If the SPLAT is as good as the old restaurant, we’ll be here often for that. Fingers crossed. But the staff needs lots more training.
It was great!
Fine. Nothing special. Basic food. You either get blackened grilled protein or zero flavor protein with a $.50 salad. I’ll try the CT lobster roll for take out only and see how that is.
Everything was perfect! Loves the ambiance . Food was delicious. All the staff were lovely.
Loved it! Will be in again soon!
The fish and chips was to ⚰ for
From appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious! Happy to see the revival of this water view location!
We were so happy that the old Lobster Inn is back as a new restaurant- Manna! This is an amazing location and the staff were all very nice. The food was delicious and everyone in my party loved their dishes. They have 2 local oysters on the menu both from the Peconic bay & Montauk. We went with the montauk oysters & they were fantastic The cocktail menu had creative delicious drinks on it & the bartender did an amazing job with each of the cocktails.
The staff is new but did a great job! We are thrilled to have this restaurant back & are looking forward to dining here many times. We can’t wait for the outside patio to be open. Welcome to Manna to the Hamptons doing scene!
Wonderful meal with friends!
So happy to be back here! A work in progress for sure, but they’ll get there. Food is outstanding and reasonably priced. Good wine and cocktail list, great effort by newbie waitstaff. We had the salmon and tuna entrees, which were perfectly cooked and presented creatively with a delicious arugula salad on the side. The fries are perfection. We’ll be back!
Been going to The Lobster Inn since a teenager (back in the '70s!!) This was our regular hang-out and truly represented my youth. So thrilled to see it back. Really nice restoration!
Ceviche was delicious. Salmon was cooked to perfection. The brownie dessert can be sized to share, and it was generous!
The food was excellent! The service was slow. The waiters and waitresses were very sweet. I think I’m time the service will improve.
Had the fluke Milanese. The portion enormous and well done. Had mint hummus and chips to begin, which was nice and key lime pie for dessert, which was yummy. over all, a welcome addition.
Brand new restaurant and so excited for it to be open! Dinner was delicious, a few things we had - ceviche, lobster roll, lobster bisque ramen, endive salad- amazing! The view was spectacular! Can’t wait to go back to try other items on the menu.
Glad to see this back open with new ownership. The menu is limited.
There is no sign advertising the restaurant. I wasn’t even sure I had the right place and thought I was literally walking into someone’s house. I went in anyway and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is a bit ambiguous and pricey, so be prepared to ask questions and dig deep into your pockets. However, the food was very good. The raw oysters were chilled and very fresh. The Connecticut lobster roll was truly amazing. However, for $29 all you get is a lobster roll. All sides are extra. Paid extra for coconut lime slaw. Also good. Had a very yummy bread pudding for dessert. Despite the cost, I would return. The food was that good.
Fantastic congrats! They did it!
Imaginative delicious food
Slow slow slow service.
