Celebrated my daughter's sweet 16th birthday dinner here, everything was excellent. Our server was wonderful, food was beyond excellent.
Excellent drinks food and service.
They were so accommodating for our anniversary. We had the best time !!
Got together for a friends birthday. Food was delicious and the staff was great
Forgot waitress’ name but she was awesome! Food was good and came out in good time. Love the water bottles: look like they should be full of Grappa though!😜😜 Son had pasta with butter sauce, we shared pork chops: portions massive! We’ll be back.
Great little gem in a crowded city! Laid back and seasonal, locally sourced food. We will be back.
Delish food! Short on staff but the food was so good, we overlooked the lag in service. Our server slash bartender was able to be in two places at one time and did an awesome job. Our second time being here and it’s definitely changed for the better - and it wasn’t bad the first time. I can’t stop thinking about the fresh pasta made in house :)
A real neighborhood gem!
Rissoto was so peppery it was actually almost spicy. I like pepper, but it was so incredibly overwhelming in the dish. Four of us all tried it and said "WHOA, holy pepper." Gnocchi were really nice in texture but very tiny in size, which is unusual for gnocchi and the sauce left a little to be desired in terms of flavor. Didn't try any but my sister in law said the chicken parm was just okay. Overall a cute place and nice for a more intimate and relaxing dinner, but the food was just okay. Our server was great. Very kind and provided great service.
From the outside one might think The Manhattan House is a local bar and hang out. Once inside its apparent that it’s all that plus an interesting place to have dinner. The fireplace burning and the smell of the wood fire oven gives the place a comfortable feel, sort of like a secret place where the « in crowd » congregates.
Drinks ordered - Italian wine and a hand crafted old fashion whiskey concoction
Wood fire margarita Napolitain pizza for pré dinner snacking - the tomato salad and Cesar salad both well prepared
Main entree - Squid ink pasta and roasted meatballs
Both good making one want to return to order more items from the rather limited menu
The service was great Hugo took great care of us. The food was good in every way;portion size, flavor, presentation all good. I will go back.
The food and service were excellent. It had a relaxed chill vibe and we will definitely go back.
The staff was attentive and friendly. The prime ribeye was one of the best steak dishes I have ever had. Absolutely sensational!
A hidden gem! I took a leap of faith Great food and service. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hugo are server was delightful. My husband, myself and another couple date night! Their prime rib steak and fingerling potatoes - not noted on the website menu is fabulous. Enough for 2 two share with a salad. Cocktails and salads were great as well. Highly Recommend!
Server ignored us. Pizza was over cooked.
The food was mediocre at best. Pizza dough wasn’t cooked through, the chicken nuggets were more like cut up chicken cutlets, dry, and flavorless. The tagliatelle tasted like it was from a can. Service was slow, they forgot a dish, we didn’t get drink refills until we were done eating. Would not recommend, would not eat there again.
This place has great food and great service!
Great service and delicious food from a simple and straightforward menu. I would recommend for small groups, couples and families.
Enjoyed dinner with a party of ten. All of the staff were super accommodating. They were warm and served us in a timely manner. Will return :)
Attentive staff, excellent food, shareable portions.
We had a really great dinner. The staff and server were great. The vegetable dish was awesome. The meatballs were so good--is it bad to describe a meatball as fluffy? No! it was fluffy somehow. I had the whole Bramundi fish--excellent, and wife had the gnocchi. Both were great. It has been a while since we went to Manhattan House, and super glad we got back there.
By far the best dining experience we’ve had in the South Bay in a while. The food was delicious. We ordered skirt steak, meatballs, salad, and a bottle of Paso Cab Sav… delicious! People sitting next to us ordered pizza, and that looked good too. We’ll definitely get that next time.
It was good service and better food going be back soon with my wife
Though cheery, Service lagged in terms of basics like providing water and serving items like bread. Food was generally quite good.
I enjoyed my pizza but was completely done with it before my husband got his meal and there was no apologies or "hey desert is on us". There menu is very limited so it could use a few more choices.
Outstanding food - best pizza ever and we have eaten it often and all over the world!
Though food selection was limited , the flavor and taste made up for it. I had the Branzino (fish) on a bed of salad, cherry tomatoes and the crispiest potatoe I ve ever had. The combination of all the flavors were perfect. The chicken had crispy skin and the meat was juicy and moist.
Prosciutto and melon was a nice appetizer with the blend of sweet and salty. For desert the olive oil cake was moist just the right amount of sweetness. Great way to end an excellent meal.
Gil, our server, was extremely friendly and attentive.
Would definitely recommend Manhattan House.
Great experience good food and friendly staff!!!
This place was out go to local restaurant before the pandemic. I’m sure it’s an adjustment but it was very disappointing.
We had mixed vegetables, pizza, crab cakes, and meatballs, of which the vegetables (pleasingly various and perfectly grilled) and the pizza were the standouts. Staff was very warm and friendly, as happy to have dine-in customers back after the pandemic as we were to be there. The light in the dining room early in the evening, when we go, is wonderful, with the sun coming in directly but not glaring or overbright because of the high, narrow windows. Combined with the food and the accommodating staff, it makes for a very enjoyable dining experience.
Recently reopened and there aren't enough words to describe the amazing service, the quality of food, and overall atmosphere of Manhattan House. The menus dont do enough justice to describe what you are about to receive. Everything is made inhouse, the pizza is incredible using their own mother-dough and self built pizza oven (they showed us and its amazing) the vegetable mix for appetizer was incredibly fresh and roasted perfectly, and don't even get me started the Skirt steak and Chicken parmesan we ordered. Rounded off witch their olive oil bread dessert which all of us couldnt get over.
Needless to say, book a reservation here ASAP, it will 100% be worth it
This place has dumped its original menu due to the pandemic and it's now a lame pizza and pasta place. That's fine, I understand, but they did not update their menu online, they just erased it. Therefore, one is to assume they have the same menu as before right? So we made a reservation and sat down only to get a menu full of pizzaria food and a $19 burger. No thanks! We walked out. They should have been upfront about the change. So sad that this place, once fit for foodies, is now a skelton of what it was, with a sad outdoor table that sits upon the leaning part of their parking lot in the back.
Everything was great!
The food and drink was good but wasnt very impressed with the service! Good thing we didnt need a secound drink becouse we didnt see the server again untill we flagged them down for the bill!!
Great staff, so kind and accommodating. Food was excellent.
Very good food as always, though service was a challenge - especially when trying to get the bill to leave. Tables were too close together - certainly not in compliance with outdoor seating requirements (I could touch the nearby patron's shoulder). Thankfully we received discounted corkage pricing which was appreciated.
Staff provided fantastic service. I Highly recommend. I will be returning regularly.
Some of the very best pizza I have had in a long time. Both the fungi and the "Dat Sweet and Spicy Thang" were fabulous and highly recommended.
Service was very disappointing, the food was decent but very pricey for what you actually get.
