Always an easy place to go to with guaranteed good food and service.
I like the chill vibe of this restaurant. We were able to take our time and enjoy our food and conversation without feeling rushed out. Food was delicious and service was very friendly.
Robin was FANTASTIC! Super helpful and funny. We never were thirsty! Thanks, Robin!
First time eating here and it was selected based on reviews and location. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted, relatively quiet, good music and a waitress who was very attentive.
The place was a little more than half empty at 7:30 PM on a Saturday night if that tells you anything.
The homemade sourdough bread was amazing and well worth the $3 they charged.
We ordered the Brussel Sprouts which were a little undercooked, but still very good.
I had the whole branzino which was a bit overwhelmed by the mixture of greens, tomatoes, etc. it was not as good as I hoped given the reviews I read. I would not recommend it.
My wife had the chicken which she thought was ok. It was overly smokey according to her. I like smokey so I likely would give it a higher rating.
Our friend had the scallops which he ate and thought was ok.
They made a fresh pot of coffee at our request so they are very accommodating.
I don't know if the other items on the menu would have been better for us. Regardless, I wouldn't object returning, I just wouldn't go out of my way to do so. Parking is free and plentiful.
Great food and yummy cocktails
Manhattan House was a last minute, late evening decision for my husband and myself. What a great choice. The food was the best food we've eaten in a long time - the melon, prosciutto dish was to die for as well as the pasta which was obviously made in house.
We sat at the bar to catch some football and had wonderful conversation with the bar tender and the owner, who was siting near by.
I highly recommend for a group meal or a date night. Top notch neighborhood spot
It was very good food. The place is a bit cramped with tables very close together. The servers and staff are accommodating and very friendly.
Near by so we can walk there which we do regularly. Staff is outstanding as is the food. We usually go early when it is quiet. Likely gets more energetic later in the evening.
We LOVE this restaurant!! One of our favs! The food, staff and service is all amazing!!
First time visiting. Food is surprisingly very good and the cocktails were exceptional. The pressed brick chicken - actually pressed with a brick - had a delicious backyard bbq smokiness. The Cauliflower dish is a must. Our server was delightful as well. Will be back for sure.
We love this friendly neighborhood establishment. There’s a celebratory vibe and the staff really seems to enjoy working there, knows the menu and the cocktail list well, and is eager to have you eat Chef Diana’s food! Loudish, but there are a couple of tables in the back that are quieter if you request ahead. Also, TVs at the bar, just in case your game is still going and you need a quick peek!
Terrific service, delicious food and HUGE (surprisingly large!) portions. We will be back!
Damn Good Food!!! Fun and tasty Manhattan selection!
Love this restaurant. Go there with regularity. Outstanding food, great service.
We have driven past this restaurant many times and finally had a chance to try it. Our server was wonderful. We went there during the week so it was pretty quiet. Absolutely devoured the house made sourdough with plentiful burrata. We will go back for more! We shared the mussels which were flavorful but on the small side, the cauliflower which was quite tasty, and the brussel sprouts which were yummy. Will definitely go back and do a repeat of the sourdough bread and try some of their pastas.
We use to go here all the time a few years ago. It had the best burger around and fresh veggies and fresh fish options. Great farm to table style. Then two babies put a hold on things for awhile and now we decided to give it try again. Excited about the memories of the great menu and fresh food we picked it as our date night spot. My husband ordered the burger which is still great! Probably the best thing on the menu. I had the special seared scallops with fresh veggies. It came out as basically and arugula salad with a few over cooked and highly over seasoned tiny scallops. The fennel seasoning was soooo intense. It made the dish grainy to eat like when the lid comes off a seasoning and the entire thing accidentally comes out. Ya that bad! And I definitely missed those fresh veggies I remembered.
Our waitress was super nice and made me a fantastic special cocktail since most of their menu ones sounded too sweet. She was great and really put forth the extra effort.
We had a great dinner at MH on A Monday night. I made a reservation for the five of us for 7pm, but we did not need them...it was a VERY light crowd. (I am not sure why, as we really enjoyed it). Food was great! We ordered gnocci, chick. parm, branzino fish, a wagu dish and scallops(this was a special). Oh, and brussel sprouts and broccolini as appetizer/side dish. We loved everything, it was all cooked well and tasted great....except, I was a bit disappointed with the scallops. While it wasnt the taste or the presentation, it was the amount, or lack of...they were the small scallops and I think there were only five. For the price of the dish(32), I felt a bit jipped, I admit. If they were the large scallops, I would not be complaining, but I was digging through the sAlad part of it thinking maybe more were hidden-nope. On to the drinks....excellent!!! They were wonderful. My niece wanted some type of martini and had. Pic and described it and they did a fabulous job with it. The others were great, too. Dessert was fab. We split three things-choc. cake, olive cake and cannolis-all wonderful. Our server was attentive and helpful. All and all I would definitely go back-Also, we didn't have to deal with the crazy parking and crowds, so really that to me is a win-win!
Food was ok and definitely pricey for the amount of food received. Ordered scallops and were definitely small. Tasted good but not worth the money. Dessert was mediocre and probably would not dine here again
Outstanding service! Server gave great suggestions!
Awesome menu & Service in Great Location!
Manhattan House's farm to table exceeded expectations! The scallops and salmon were fresh and the presentations perfect. The homemade gnocchi was the best I've ever had (even Grandma's)!
Great time with my friends. Lots of people, lively, fun decor and atmosphere. Good menu with lots of variety. Our favorite was the fried chicken with corn bread and the roasted brocolini. The staff is super nice and accomodating.
My only complaint was the desert. The dessert menu has complex specialty items and these are very hard to do right. For example we ordered three desserts, strawberry panna cotta, canoli, and olive oil cake. The panna cotta tasted like non fat Greek yogurt. The Conoli and the cake were not great either. Would have been very if they just served up basics that don’t require the skills of a pastry chef, like brownie sundaes.
Nevertheless would definitely come back because the food was great and we had a great time.
It was amazing, I cannot believe I waited this long to go. The food was wonderful and the staff was kind and on top of it.
Our server Max was EXCELLENT! Polite and very attentive, very helpful with wines and selection of food.
The buttermilk chicken was excellent.
The cauliflower starter was too hard and lacked flavor.
The selection of entrees was much improved over the last time I visited.
The restaurant is very attractive and clean as a whistle.
I like the way the water is served, very healthy.
The noise level grew dramatically as the evening progressed, but you can't control rowdy partiers at the bar, ha!
Thank you so much.
I found the quality of the food to be substandard particularly give the prices. My lamb was tough grisly and generally difficult to eat. My son's skirt steak wa of similar poor quality.
Food was delicious. Got there for lunch as restaurant was clearing out from breakfast. Took 15 minutes before our order was taken. Then 15 minutes before our plates were at the table. Burger was well done. Won’t go back
We had a good experience today! Enjoyed the pineapple mimosas. The House Plate appetizer was very good. My husband had a good Father’s Day
This place never disappoints. The service is great and thebfoodbis always good. We had the lamb, salmon and various sides. Good place for a nice dinner in a casual atmosphere.
This is the first time we’ve been since Chef D left and we were super impressed! Great menu, great service and the food was delish. Definitely going back.
Food was delicious and the service was awesome! I will definitely go back. I love that they buy allot of their product from local farmers.
Quickly turning into one of our new favorites.
Tavern setting, luxe food.
Ceased salad was horrible. All other food was great . Overall the Menu was not that great and I would not go back.
Food was very good. Drinks were good. Service was okay. However, somehow we were charged $78 for a bottle of wine that we did not order! Always scrutinize your restaurant bill!
The happy hour is great! The burger was very filling and super tasty. The only thing my friends and I did not care for was the deconstructed tiramisu; it was way too dense and rich. I usually think of tiramisu as creamy but light and airy; this was not that...at all. Having said that, I would totally go back!
They do not have a big menu but what they do have is quite tasty. I had the skirt steak special and it had great flavor. Also, got the Brussel sprouts which were unique and very good.
Food was great although tiramisu not my style! Well worth checking out
My husband took me for Mother’s Day brunch. We had great food and service the last time going there it seemed like a good idea to go for a special occasion. The restaurant was half empty (never a good sign on a busy holiday). I could go on and on about what went wrong but I’ll just name a few. We had 2 orders of steak and eggs, one came out severely over and the other under cooked. Everything was over salted. Coffee mugs were filled with coffee grounds, we had to flag someone down for another cup of coffee and asked for a new cup since ours were filled with grounds and they never returned with more coffee. Server basically never came back after taking our initial order until the rest of my family left and I was left surrounded by stacks of uneaten plates of food waiting for my bill.
Great ambiance and very good service! The food was tasty and very fresh. The menu was a bit limited but the items available were great. Will definitely be back.
