Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits
White Oak Grilled Skirt Steak
grilled broccolini, red chimichurri
They kindly offered us a hot table in the sun when we showed up an early for our reservation. That’s where the positive vibe ended. They brought an ice tea instead of hot tea, the side of eggs showed without the entree, and the banana bread came with luscious caramel but burnt edges. The MB Post Eggs Benedict was delightful—just what we expected.
Went here for brunch. Get the biscuits and a bloody mary. The brunch offerings are well-executed. There is no particular standout dish though everything across the board is really tasty.
Good ambiance. Limited menu. Great service.
Great! Love the vibes here! Service always good! Food is the best!!!
Amazing meal & service, but the tables were a bit too close together for comfort.
The brunch add-on bacon is amazing. All the food here is so good. Great for almost any occasion.
Manhattan Beach Post offers sophisticated yet accessible cuisine, with eclectic influences, fresh ingredients, combining to deliver highly flavorful dishes. It will push your boundaries, challenge your expectations, and offer something fun for almost any taste. I was also impressed by the service, and very happy that they were able to offer me a last-moment table on a busy Friday. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the area.
What a spectacular meal. There wasn't one item we didn't love -- and we had a lot of food! Terrific ambience, fabulous service and the remodel looks SO awesome!!!
Love this place. Haven’t been here in a few years. New layout isn’t great. Service and people were awesome. Food /scallops were a big miss. Flavor profile was awful(the almonds and tomato confit didn’t work at all) and the corn purée was not as good as the corn foam and/or kernels they used to serve it with. One of my scallops was pretty undercooked as well.
Great food. Love the tapas style. And Bacon Cheddar Biscuits were a league of their own
Service was indifferent, ordered Nashville hot chicken, while the chicken was cooked properly, was missing the presence of spices in the breading and was not dipped in hot sauce as is indicative of Nashville hot chicken. This menu item needs a lot of work. The cocktail list is very weak compared to similar restaurants in the immediate area.
We had a great brunch experience, excellent service by our server!
For the amount of money paid for dinner it wasn’t the best experience. I had not been to Post and six or seven years. The hostess and our server war really super nice and entertaining.. They both did a great job thank you.
As always the biscuits are unbelievable and always A+++. The rest of the food menu items were pretty much just average or I was disappointed in.
The peach burrata farro salad was fantastic and the next best.
The chef farm mini salad had a dressing on there that just did not mix well and was actually very strong and odd tasting.
The steak meat portion had a chimichurri sauce which I thought did not mix well at all. I do not remember the steak tasting like this in the past as I remember the steak used to come with large asparagus and it was fantastic. I was quite disappointed in this version as the sauce was too overpowering. i wish the sauce was on the side.
The fried chicken was served with five very large pieces however it was all batter that did not have a good taste at all. it was quite plain, unappealing and greasy. The potato salad and dill pickles that came with the fried chicken were actually very delicious and my favorite part of the fried chicken.
The pork spinach spaghetti was actually very appealing. For a newer item on the menu I thought this was done well.
Shishito peppers was very hot to the palate. It had a peanut butter sauce which I enjoyed however it left a odd aftertaste. it was just okay.
This place has changed a lot in the last few years for the better. It was very nice and trendy inside. However between the music and the conversations echoing off of the walls it was really loud to hear my companion sitting directly across from me. We were sitting in the inside room part of post so I’m sure that’s why everything was extra loud and echoing.
Both our host and waitresses were phenomenal. They were extremely nice, polite and did a fantastic job. Thank you.
C* rating. Wish I walked away happier for the $$$ spent.
Great food and service!!
We always have a great time at mb post! The food is excellent and our server was so helpful and friendly
Post pandemic re-model, new larger lobby, more restrooms (bonus), wrap around bar, got rid of the sharing table (good call post COVID), tucked away hidden eating area could be used for private parties. Nice ambiance!!
Service was super as usual, great bus service, always keeping drink full, good attentive service.
Change up on fries..we liked the giant steak fries from menus of old vs oil drenched skinny fries (sounds worst but taste better). Bacon cheese biscuits were same tasty recipe.
Hanger steak $25..I’m fine with. Salmon (4 oz baby filet) $23 ..I paid for presentation ..taste good. 1/2 fried chicken for $33. I can’t understand $33. Don’t know if it was Djidori Organic or Snake River Valley but $66 for whole chicken??
Chicken Maison…$19 whole chicken
El Pollo Inka..$15-19 whole chicken
Roscoe’s 1/2 chicken and waffles ..$22
I think $25 for 1/2 chicken is max…Roscoe’s it is not.
Ok..enough with that.
Finished with a nice ricotta pound cake with yummy glazed boissenberry and ice cream and crunch and few rosemary leaves. (I would have been ok with finely diced chopped rosemary).
Front of the house did a great job..
Amazing biscuits. The biscuit eggs Benedict was out of this world.
Our waiter was outstanding!
Food as delicious!! The grilled banana bread
with salted caramel was out of this world!!
Every visit has been amazing as usual! I am definitely coming back :)
Server was outstanding. Food was delicious. Music was a little loud. Also, we couldn't eat outside - despite there being open tables - because the hostess said I hadn't reserved outdoors. That's fine, except I was never given the option to choose when I made the reservation. OpenTable needs to fix that or I won't use them to make reservations in the future.
The restaurant is wonderful but it is extremely loud and difficult to speak with your guests. The acoustics enhance all sound and at times it is deafening.
During Covid it seems that MB Post went through a huge remodel of the location and menu. I understand that places need a face lift now and then but, you took the post out of MB Post. The new decor is very “vanilla” when the old MB Post stood out among the crowd of restaurants in Manhattan Beach.
All of the staff was very friendly, the service was good. You accommodated a special birthday request and ensured we had fresh plates for each course. However, the coursing was slow and we watched multiple tables get there after us and leave before us.
The classics on the menu including the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits and the green beans were still amazing. We ordered the fritters, the peaches with burrata and the strip steak in addition to the items mentioned above which all left something to be desired.
We loved MB Post in the past and will be back to try it again, hopefully it was just a one off experience.
Great place to hang out with high quality food.
Do yourself a favor and go!
MB Post never disappoints. Cheddar bacon biscuits are a must have. The Chef's Board was also excellent.
Good good good good
Food and service was amazing…love this place! Perfect for a date night!
MB Post still shines. Granted the MB clientele can feel a bit... snobbish... the restaurant itself serves unpretentious delicious food from a staff of delightful friendly people.
Food and service was amazing.
Such a great place!!! I’ll be back everytime I come to manhattan beach
A very sunny and relaxing outdoor Sunday brunch courtesy of MBP. Two of us plus pooch were very hungry and ate the Strawberry Cream Puffs, Choco & Ham&Cheese Croissants, Pretzels with Salmon Mousse, Peaches and Burrata Salad, Hamachi Crudo Sashimi, and the Breakfast Chimichanga. Everything brought to us by super server Angela was so wonderfully tasting as usual. Outstanding Blood&Smoke Mary cocktails from the bar made the transition from morning to afternoon even nicer. We love MBP, it’s always our favorite beach hangout for brunch, lunch or dinner, never disappoints and features a highly motivated and professional kitchen and floor staff!!!
It was a very satisfying meal with some creative flavor combinations. Definitely don’t miss the cheddar bacon biscuit, gnocchi and salmon tiki masala. Service ended up being very good though it was off to a rough start. A lively, fun and very crowded atmosphere.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding . Definitely recommend !!
Whoever changed the MB Post needs to be bent over my knee and spanked. Who screwed this up? It used to be really great with a more rustic, authentic, unique vibe. Now it looks like a Japanese restaurant. Kinda like a Springhill Suites Marriott, with the same level of packed in people at their breakfast bar. The menu is tiny yet expensive. We left unsatisfied with the overall experience - the "biscuits" were ordinary, the chickpea thing was boring, and I can make better spaghetti at home. The server didn't even look at us as she took our order. I was SO excited to come back here - I used to come every year on business trips before I moved to SoCal. I told all my friends about it. Sad to say, this was the last time. I won't be recommending it to anyone. Don't bother booking, pick one of the other amazing restaurants in MB.
Teal is a wonderful addition to the team! We loved her wine recommendation. We are excited to come back again soon!
Went for dinner since MB post has been remodeled. Super cute modern chic decor and ambiance. Servers and staff were all great and attentive. Food was fresh, tasty, and unique. Highly recommend.
Not good food options for kids. I’m a foodie but wasn’t impressed with anything I ate except for the bacon cheddar biscuits. But service and ambiance were amazing.
We love everything! The food, service , drinks, and ambience are all excellent !
Excellent service and food!
