Food was bland and overpriced. Gnocchi tasted like it had been frozen and the pork and ricotta meatballs just didn't have any flavor. I also had the buttermilk biscuits, which were decent, and the scallops, which were quite good. They had a decent selection of wines and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall, I'm not going back since the food didn't set this restaurant apart from many others in the vicinity.

My wife and I spent a rare date night at Manhattan Beach Post and fell in love with the decor, the ambiance, the food and the exceptional service we were provided. Highly recommend.

Four of us met for dinner @8:45 on Saturday night. It was packed, and very loud. We were seated fairly quickly. Service was great, hostesses, bartenders, wait staff... everyone. Format is unusual, to me anyway, a shared plate situation. Hard to manage with 4 people on a small table. Each plate was tasty and well-made, as well as creative. The starter breads are fantastic. I can't say if I'd go back. A little loud for me. It was hard to converse with the table. As for the format, I think for two people it would be fun, but for four it was difficult.

We have been to this restaurant twice before and loved it. However, this time we were very disappointed with the food and probably will not return. There are too many great restaurants in Southern California to waste time and money on underwhelming food.

Biscuits bomb as always. Steak with chimichurri and egg and broccolini was pretty good, Brock maybe a little too carbony. Stone fruit with froyo was not impressive but mainly because the fruit wasn’t that great. Still going to keep returning and recommending

Food was not worth the price at all, our reserved table was taken by a group who moved without asking (and hostess did nothing to help), we were placed at another table that was awful and cramped. Waitress kept leaving to smoke, would be gone for 30-40min at a time. Waste of money and time

The Uni (Sea Urchin) Pasta with home made spaghetti is a home run!!! Rich and creamy, goes well with draft Two Coast Hefeweizen brewed in nearby Gardena and the signature Bacon Cheddar Biscuits. Service by Tatiana outstanding!! Place was rocking on a Friday evening sunset spectacular!!

Had a great experience here with our server Steven and had the most wonderful food. We tried the biscuits, and I enjoyed them because it had a nice flavor but nothing noteable. We then had with the duck prosciutto and Kenne goat milk cheese. It arrived beautifully presented with sourdough bread, apple slices, marcona almonds, a black currant jam?(?), Horseradish mustard and some kind of pickled grapes. The servers timed all of our dishes so we'll, as soon as we were done with something, the next dish arrived shortly after. You must, must try the potato and blue crab gnocchi and the sweater sea scallops on top of a pork belly slice. The only words that can describe the gnocchi are light and airy clouds. And the scallops were tender and buttery. Finished our meal with the cobbler and the Elvis, I think we both preferred the Elvis though. A wonderful place to have our anniversary, thank you

Good food. Thai-style Green Curry Mussels and Bacon, Cheddar, Onion Biscuit. Will return although I probably should try something different. Always order the same thing.

It has been two days and I am still thinking about the skirt steak. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. Didn't really taste the chimichurri and the broccolini was slightly underdone but all in all, it was a great dinner. I will be going back.

Used to love this place. Menu has shrunk, food was mediocre, terrible metal music and explicit rap was BLASTING. Yes, this is a loud restaurant, esp on a Saturday night, but this really ruined our dinner. I made a mild comment to the hosts, who just smiled a little and that was it. Our waitress was lovely.
Had friends in town and chose MBP for the great food and still feel bad I took them there.
Won’t be back.

Had reservations, made us wait 20 minutes. Then they give us a bar type area to use as a table. Not happy. The food was not at safe temperature when it arrived. Won’t be going back to this place

Have been to this restaurant numerous times. The food,service,and vibe are all top notch. Great for groups and special events .Always accomodating when seating.Russell is a fantastic host alwsys feels luke home.

The banquette seating is in dire need of reupholstering! The shorty that I am, sank waaaay down in the seat AND the upholstery had major cracks. Wearing a knee length dress was very uncomfortable. Had to switch with my hubby who had denim jeans on. Woman already seated next to me commented about the seats when I gasped when I sat down. And I noticed that the empty space on the other side of me had the same problem. Soon after us another couple were seated there and the woman (short like me) had the same reaction and switched with her date, too. We all laughed it off but it’s NOT the quality I would expect from MB Post.

Out of town for the night and stumbled on this gem! WOW! Awesome food, service was great...we're already thinking about planning another visit because it was that good! And literally while everything we ordered was delish, it's the cheddar biscuits we're still talking about! RUN don't walk!

Cheddar biscuits are delicious. Good drinks.
Grilled shrimp was tasty but expensive. Carnitas tacos just OK . I would recommend restaurant as a landmark in MB, but think the food has been better.

Decided to bring a friend to MBP during a layover at LAX since she hadn’t been while living in Venice. I will start by saying that our server Morgan was the best part of our meal, she was friendly, knowledgeable and always there when we needed her. She even brought me the recipe to a dip for the naan bread we ordered. The naan flatbread was ok and definitively flat, absolutely no air pockets which usually make a naan or flatbread visually enticing for me. The bacon cheddar biscuits were delicious as always, this is a must order if you eat bacon. The rest of our meal included the kale quinoa salad, gnocchi with crab and corn plus the coconut salmon. All of it was delicious, especially the coconut/ lemongrass sauce on the salmon ( perfect balance) but the salmon at $22 could have been a bit larger. For dessert we had the Elvis and the cappuccino soft serve, the Elvis was not as fabulous as I remember from the last time and the cappuccino soft serve was just Ok. Still a fun and good place to go but will probably pass on dessert next time. A big thank you to Morgan for the excellent service.

We come here often and love the food. I think for the price they could give you a little more food. Especially with the cheese boards. They are a little skimpy with their cheeses as compared to some other local MB restaurants, but overall the food is always amazing, the drinks are excellent, and the atmosphere is fun.

We've been many times with nothing but excellent service, but on this past visit one of our courses didn't come out for over 20 minutes. Tbh we were chatting and weren't terribly concerned, but our amazing server (Christina, I believe) DID notice and had the manager stop by to apologized profusely and offer us the next course on the house. Now THAT's how a restaurant should be run!! We'll be going back more frequently from now on!

We celebrated my daughter's bday w/ a girls lunch at MB Post! We had an amazing table w/ a pretty view. We had an OUTSTANDING waitress named Ashley who was incredibly attentive, adorable as can be, and really made our afternoon. The food was fantastic as usual - our favs are the cheese biscuits, charcuterie board, grilled asparagus and fried chicken!!!

Have been here many times, but this evening the service was indifferent and rather slow. Took forever to get the appetizer plates cleared and bus staff just put our used utensils back on table for us to re-use for the main courses (just like they do at Olive Garden, I imagine).

Incredibly disappointing after years of enjoyable meals. Maybe it was our fault for grabbing the first seating at 515?

The food was fantastic, service wonderfully. However the music was so loud our server said she has resorted to earplugs so as not to dance her hearing. I asked three times if they could lower the music without any luck. If they want to be a nightclub instead of a great restaurant with a creative menu, the owners are well on their way.
