The MB Post is a great place to meet for a night out with friends, date night or a stop in for a nice cocktail. The Cheddar Bacon Biscuits are incredible as a must have starter.

Check this great South Bay restaurant out...

The food is always excellent. We went for LA Dining Week and chose items from the special menu. It’s a good way to sample several items at good price. Enjoyed the carmelized onion tart and braised short rib. The place is noisy and crowded. Reservations almost required.

seating is crowded, especially with a high chair. Hamachi crudo was good. Caramelized onion tart was fabulous, we want another one.. or come back for it. The fish was the better order of the two mains on DineLA,, and the chocolate torte was yumz. We need to go back for a few things.

I will summarize it this way:
1. It is a "small plate" restaurant and consequently the portions are small.
2. It is a high seating density establishment. I suggest you make reservations versus sitting at a communal bench.
3. Do not go here if you want to have an intimate conversation. The atmosphere is energetic.
4. The entire staff is friendly, energetic and helpful.
5. If you go I suggest you order the bacon biscuits as a starter, everyone loves them!!! Well, except my date Friday night so I guess I won't be seeing her anymore:-)!!!
6. Surprisingly, they have a limited craft beer menu.
7. Go and enjoy!!

Green Beans - too much starchy sauce / glaze
Steak was over cooked and over seasoned with smoked paprika.

Had a wonderful dinner with my husband. Restaurant was surprisingly busy mid-week. Our server, Holly, was incredibly knowledgeable and made spot-on recommendations. She suggested and then we promptly devoured the cheddar bacon biscuits (and of course, we put in an order of them to go.) We then shared the green beans, mussels and seared scallops. We would order everything again. My husband also ordered a non-alcoholic beer and they did not have one, so the manager actually went out and bought some! Amazing customer service.

The food and service are always outstanding! The noise level is very high, acoustics are difficult with such tall ceilings. While I wouldn’t recommend it for a business meeting or first date, the variety on their tapas style menu makes it ideal for groups. Their drinks are awesome too!

There's a reason why this restaurant was so busy on a Monday evening - its reputation for fabulous food. We brought guests from NY who weren't familiar with the sharing small plates concept and unfamiliar with many of the ingredients. But they loved all the dishes. The flavors were spectacular and the presentation delightful.

The mussels are very different than other restaurants - with a curry sauce and sticky rice. Since there is so much sauce with the mussels, they should provide some bread to soak up the fabulous flavors.

The servers were not attentive and we had to constantly search for them when we had a question or wanted something. They push you into getting more dishes than appropriate. Halfway into our meal we realized we ordered way too much food (which was less than they suggested) and canceled two orders. And still we had enough. 1-2 items per person is sufficient; you can always order more.

Have been there several times and have always enjoyed my meals. This time however, we found everything to be extremely salty. In retrospect, we should have sent everything back but we were hoping that each plate (we ordered 6 dishes) would come out less salty. Our fries were also cold.

It’s worth a try, but as any restaurant it changes. We were here about 4 years ago twice and I remember the food was exceptional. The food was tasty and you can tell it was carefully prepared. This time we were party of 7 and we ordered only 6 items (food to be shared) since we weren’t that hungry, but they recommended 2 items per person. The food was not special. Since we weren’t that hungry, we ordered we ordered drinks. Our bill came to $250 without tip. Plus tip we paid $290 for the small 6 pieces of food. Pricey yes! Anyway I won’t be going there anytime soon as there are new restaurants across the street. Better value if you just went to a restaurant where you have your own meal, just my opinion.

Celebrated New Years Eve dinner here. This was my husbands and my first time eating here and was a little disappointed that there was a limited menu option for the evening. Also a very limited liquor option (ie only had one vodka to chose from). But they did have a byob option for for a corking fee. Very crowded as expected but odd that we were set at a large long table with five other couples all sitting across from their dates so we lucked out and had a nice conversation with the couple next to us but it was still a bit odd and not what we were expecting. We would have rather set at the bar than share elbow space with a stranger at a sit down table.

Always enjoy the food and service at Post but am done with their counter seating. I don’t mind sharing the table with others but have had 3 bad experiences now with inconsiderate table mates. If possible reserve one of their more private tables for a more enjoyable dining experience.

The employees were friendly and the room is cool. When we arrived, the employees were unpacking boxes of high chairs right next to the hostess station. Maybe the back alley next time. The food was weak, relying heavily on salt. The carnitas tacos in particular. We came really looking forward to eating here, but left in disbelief that it has Michelin recognition. The server was nice bus disappeared once the food was delivered until the check was dropped. Also, the waitstaff ideally would not hang wet rags from the back of their pants, the tables are close enough to eachother that the rag hangs over the table behind when the waiter stands between the table to talk to the guests.

Our go to for a nice brunch, food is always great, small plates that you can share so you get a taste of five or 6 tasty things instead of a lot of one dish. The cheddar bacon biscuits are a must, and the corn beef hash and eggs our families favorite, but everything is good. You can’t go wrong here!

I have always loved this place and have gone many many times since I live in the south bay.
Food is always amazing, so the food is not the issue.
The hostess(es) experience was lame.
They gave our counter table away bc we had 1 more person showing up.
We could have pulled a chair and all fit or had the person who was coming stand bc they were coming to have a drink since it’s the counter anyway.
instead we had to wait another 45 mins for a 9:30pm reservation.
They were going to move us to another table (not the counter) and that table didn’t want to move after they were not happy about their table.
This is the second time this happened to our group.
Waiting for a table for that long is annoying.
At 930 pm we’re pretty hungry and excited about eating.
We live locally and we understand it is a popular place.
The restaurant was clearing out and the hostesses need to do better job accommodating the reservations.
