Food was amazing. Great for sharing and each dish was better than the next. Will definitely go back again and again
Best brunch ever
Amazing Brunch!! Perfect Mother’s Day! The eggs Benedict is always perfection!
Food was very good. Service was good.
Food was sooo good.
This place was simply outstanding! The open air setting in trendy Manhattan Beach was just delightful! The menu is very eclectic, something for everyone! My lamb gyro was wonderful, the delicious chopped salad was perfect for sharing, the grilled chicken sandwich was near perfection! Their signature offering is their bacon-cheddar biscuits were beyond delicious! However what we were most impressed with the superb, friendly service by Tatiana and then entire wait staff! She immediately picked up on that we were celebrating the occasion of a new job/promotion of my lovely niece! We celebrated with glasses of wonderful Cava, that complimented our entire meal. Then as we were preparing to pay our tab and ending our wonderful lunch, Tatiana brought us a complimentary plate of the most wonderfully fresh beignets with decadent cream anglaise and dark chocolate dipping sauce! Just devine!! We can't wait to return to this fantastic find!!
I always ask server Rachel to pick dishes and wines to match. This makes for a great meal and a unique experience each time. My foodie, out of town friend said she found her new favorite Southern Cal restaurant.
My daughter and I had a dinner to celebrate the completion of her Masters Thesis. We shared the green bean dish and Pom couscous as well as meatballs and grab gnocchi. While tasty, I didn’t feel they were anything special. The biscuits at the beginning of the meal are delicious, but as a person who doesn’t normally eat food like that they were way too heavy and actually spoiled my appetite. I wish the menu weren’t as limited. For example I would have liked to see more fresh fish or just clean veggies. The final bill was ridiculous for the amount of food and a couple of drinks by the glass. While the ambiance was cozy and enjoyable, I felt It was like paying for a fine dining experience at a neighborhood tapas place.
We were a party of 6 to celebrate my birthday. From Ceara Moran meeting us at the entrance to the most delicious Vic Vega cocktails the evening was amazing. We all were wowed by the flavor explosions in each selection, every bite was a burst of carefully crafted pairings. I don't even know which plate was my favorite!!!
The buttermilk cheddar bacon biscuits were sinful... the sea scallops were like being back east on the Cape, the pomegranate couscous was light & flovorful. The vege dishes were cooked to perfection. I can't wait to come back when David is an Iron Chef!!!!
Friendly staff. Amazing food. Lovely view. Beautiful experience!
Great atmosphere restaurant with excellent food. Every dish we had was fantastic. Which was about 10 dishes. Really liked the brocoflour.
Try and come here every time I’m in El Segundo area.
Wifi was poor
Fantastic menu. Creative and delicious, except for the spaghetti that was pushed by the server. The blue crab gnocchi were exceptional. This is a tapas-style menu but the servings are much larger than other restaurants such as republique. Service was friendly but very very slow. Would definitely go back. Recommended.
Trendy crowd and decor. Conveniently located within walking distance of the beach. Be sure to make a reservation or you might have to share a table with other patrons. Great menu. Very friendly staff. Pork tacos were amazing.
the biscuits never get old. the rest of the menu is also amazing. a little pricey but worth it.
The food, service and menu were awesome as usual. The server was very friendly as well.
We love mb post Chef came to our table and it was amazing!!!!!!! We will always come back to mb post!!!!
Maria and Craig
Well this is a great trendy restaurant right by Manhattan Beach Pier. Cute little town and very busy on a Saturday! We walked in it’s loud and the place is full. You have to make reservations ahead of time for sure. We sat down had there homemade biscuits- out of this world good!! Then we shared plates - Blue lake green beans spicy but delicious! Roasted Brussel Sprouts the Best flavor!. Then maim course Blue Crab Gnocchi out of this world delicious! Also Seared Maine Diver Scallops cooked to perfection! We ended the meal with there version of Beignet with a great dipping sauce. Go go and try this wonderful restaurant.
Exceptional, good every time....
Loved MB Post! We had a excellent dinner of small plates and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely go back!
Great food. Great service. Little loud and tight tables.
I’ve been here for many different occasions, and it’s always perfect. One of my favorite restaurants!! ❤️
My favorite Manhattan Beach restaurant. The food is always innovative and delicious.
Best food I've had in a while! Everything was very fresh and creative. Our server was amazing and described the local ingredients to us. Loved trying several smaller dishes as a group.
My friend was visiting from the East Coast. We had a fantastic dinner! Great spicy margaritas, goat cheese appetizers, brussel sprouts and skirt steak. Felt a little pressured to order the biscuit (which I think is too filling and overrated, so we passed) and with all the "add-ons" that were suggested-- each cheese appetizer was $12 then we added the honey for $4 (truffle honey alone was totally worth it) we skipped the olives for $6 since that would put us at $34 just for appetizers! Our waitress Holly made some great suggestions-- the ricotta goat cheese was excellent!
Overall experience was favorable. Food was fantastic, as was the service and ambience. Room was loud so not a great choice for intimate dining or a business dinner where conversation is important. Only real complaint was that tables & seating was cramped and verging on uncomfortable. Steer clear of the banquette and you’ll be fine! Do not miss the biscuits!
Food was really tasty. Should be noted that everything on the menu is "family style" or "shared plates". Somewhat pricey I thought since you need to order at least a few plates to make enough for a meal. Some of my favorite yummy plates and their prices: brussells sprouts were $14, Hamachi was $17, Cous Cous was $9, broccoflower was $14, trout was $15, scallops were $19, shrimp tortellini was $18, skirt steak was $21 and french fries were $8. I was with a group and there are just some of what we ordered. Keep in mind none of these are entrees, so what you get is just the item that you ordered. The woman who answered the phone when I changed my reservation was helpful and friendly. I also want to add that with my party of seven, when the bill arrived, the restaurant did NOT automatically add a tip to our bill which I think is great!! A lot of people add on a second tip because they didn't see that the restaurant already added one tip. So bravo to MB Post for not doing this!!
We asked our server to bring us what she thought we would like. Party of four, not drinking.
Fantastic cheese, fruit and nut plate with local honey - Mycella Blue was especially good. Pickled items were okay.
Roasted Brussels sprouts
Meatball and polenta (especially the polenta)
Bacon cheddar biscuits (of course)
The Elvis dessert
It’s loud and expensive, but not unreasonably expensive. The chairs are not comfortable. My lower back is aching. People like a full back when they are sitting to enjoy a meal.
It really was a delicious meal.
Our server was Rachel and she was helpful and well informed.
What a treat to go into a restaurant and be treated so warmly. From the hostess, ceira,to the servers and busboy everyone made us feel special. And then there’s the food WOW! Delicious and prepared so pleasing to the eye and sooooo good. We will be back for sure......!
Had a reservation for 11am, got there 15 mins early and were able to be seated right away. We were then immediately greeted by our waiter who explained the concept of the menu—updated daily and anything written by hand was a special chef creation/recommendation for the day. We ordered two handwritten items: eggs with mushrooms and chard on rustic bread and a blueberry griddle cake. Delicious! Also, the cheddar bacon buiscuits did not disappoint. My boyfriend said the Bloody Mary was the best he’d had. We throughly enjoyed every aspect of our experience at Manhattan Post. We’ll be there again.
Great food, delicious drinks and excellent service !👌🏼
It was such a great indoor/outdoor setting for brunch before heading to the beach! I got the eggs with fresh mushrooms on toast and it was so simple but delectable. Can’t wait to go back. Also heard dinner is delicious.
Great service and ambiance. The food was very good, execution was on point.
Really friendly service
Great brunch menu. So many choices so little time...
Great food! The menu is quite diverse so there's something for everyone. The quality of each dish was amazing. We had one vegetarian at the table and at least two friends who seem to only eat meat and they were all happy with menu options and the quality. Chef sent us over a complimentary gnocchi in return for honest feedback, it was spot on. I hope they leave the gnocchi on the menu, will definitely order it on our next visit.
Yes, the dinning room is on the noisy side. While it's certainly a challenge to clearly hear everyone at the table it wasn't a struggle to hear the nearest 2-3 people seated near me.
We had a birthday in our group and the staff sent out a complimentary buttermilk soft serve which was awesome.
DEFINITELY coming back to do it all over again!
This is my me and my husband’s spot. The food never disappoints and the service is always friendly and on point.
This review will include both reservations for April 2nd as well as the 3rd because we HAD to go back again. The place is a charmer. Having lived most of my life in NYC I’m used to the unique bistro like restaurants of Manhattan in Soho, Tribeca and Williamsburg, Brooklyn. MB Post fits that like a glove. High ceilings, great separate bar and wild walls make for a unique experience. The waitstaff is also amazing. Every ingredient is understood and explained by whoever you have. I ordered two awesome wines over the two evenings that I know very well since being former Wine Educators in NYC for 30 years allowed me to appreciate great old world wines. I ordered a Chateau de la Baumard Savennieres 2015 , great wine and an equally great year for the first evening and then semi broke the bank with a Domaine Laflaive Macon-Verze 2015 for the second dinner. Why did we want to come back? The first evening was unbelievable. Every single dish was an abstraction of colors, flavors and textures but we had a difficult time choosing between so many unique dishes. Even our waitress told us we must come back. Evening #1 we had a special which was a Sweet Spring Pea Salad. The name gives absolutely no credence as to the complexity of this dish. Next we had possibly the best French Fries outside of Balthazar in NYC. Next came the Japanese Hamachi Sashimi as good as a similar one at our Honolulu Nobu. Then came the Pork and Ricotta Meatballs and finally the Dark Rye Papardelle. The nest evening we had Blistering Green Beans, Broccoflower, Diver Scallops, Blue Crab Gnocchi and the grilled skirt steak. *and we still had more that we could have picked but that’s for next year. A TRUE DESTINATION RESTAURANT.
Excellent service!!! Delicious Food
When looking at the menu online, it was not clear that the items were small plates. The waitress did a nice job explaining the menu and concept, but we were surprised that instead of each ordering a dish and sharing a side, we were now in for four to five small plates to make up our dinner. Ended up being quite a bit more expensive than we had planned. However........ The food was absolutely delicious, and our waitress was delightful. Especially loved the brussels sprouts and blue crab gnocchi. We enjoyed a lovely evening overall.
