   The food and service were very good. My wife and I were there the first day of restaurant week, which made the price more palatable. That being said, it still came to $125 with tax and tip, but the real reason that I rated it a 4 and not a 5 was the noise level. A lot of children yelling and screaming going unnoticed by the parents who seemed to be more interested in talking with their friends than raising well manored children. Truth be told, the parents were very loud also, so I see where the kids get it from.

   James, Thank you for your review. I am sorry about the noise level as there was a 30 person party that started at 4pm that was an actual make up day for an event they had cancelled. We do not normally mix a party and dining together and for that we apologize. I hope you can give us a try again under normal circumstances. We look forward to seeing you again as restaurant week is thru next Sunday 5/4 and we will continue the Pre-Fix menu Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday's moving forward as it is a great hit with the customers!!    Food and menu were excellent. Great, Friendly Service from wait staff, hostess and valet.

   Our entire experience, from beginning to end, was absolutely amazing! The quick, pleasant greeting when we walked in was a great beginning. Our server David, was spot on, friendly and charismatic. The entire staff was attentive, and left us wanting for nothing. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was perfect. This was our first visit, and we most certainly will return!

   We had such a good experience here! Our waiter, Ernesto, was so attentive and friendly. The staff kept coming around to make sure everything was going well and the vibe in the place was great!

   Everything was wonderful from where we were seated to the service, food and cocktails! The owner was present and checked on us a few times and our waiter was always nearby to get anything we wanted. I went with the truffle garlic bread / whipped ricotta appetizer (yum) and my husband had a Caesar salad (which was deliciously well-dressed). I wish I hadn't filled up on the bread basket first...but there was a nice variety in it and I couldn't stop myself. For dinner I had the sesame seared tuna steak, which was HUGE and came with a nice amount of perfectly cooked broccoli rabe and just a few roasted potatoes (thank God because I was carbed out at that point). My husband had the spicy mezzi rigatoni vodka and a side of mangia meatballs from the appetizer menu...I think one meatball went home with us. We didn't stay for dessert because we just couldn't eat anymore. For cocktails I had a polite and dirty martini (the bleu cheese stuffed olives were sooo tasty) and my husband had some kind of bourbon apple cocktail. I had a second cocktail, the Alpine Manhattan, which was delicious. The only thing I would recommend is to put a sign in the entry vestibule on Merrick (which is where we entered) pointing us in the direction of the check-in desk at the rear of the restaurant. I suppose most people enter from the back parking lot. We stood there for about a minute trying to figure out where the host was. We will definitely be back!

There is a sign in the vestibule in a gold frame pointing you to the rear entrance as yes we have valet parking Friday and Saturday but you did get a lucky front spot!!     Food was delicious ! The ambience was fun with the Dj ! Our waitress was efficient and professional . The Bus boys were attentive ! Everything was right on point ! Going back for Sunday brunch !!!! Thanks Mangia e Bevi for a perfect night out with our friends .
