Anniversary dinner. Atmosphere perfectly peaceful; food, delectable.
Amazing food and great service! I would definitely go back & recommend to friends.
Our first trip. Really nice brunch. Interesting selections including some chef's specials for the day. Our server was sincere and made us feel welcome. We'll go back for sure.
Father's Day brunch was amazing, there server was very friendly and knowledgeable and since was our first time there he gave us good recommendations.. Definitely coming back
We had brunch at Mandolin to celebrate Father’s Day. We dined there a few times in the past for both personal and business occasions. Always enjoyed our meals and locally sourced menu items.
Wish Mandolin would make an exception to there no dessert at brunch policy. Especially on a holiday like Father’s Day. It was disappointing.
Otherwise service and food were great!
A few weeks ago my wife and I had a lovely dinner at Mandolin. I returned with the whole family and my sister and niece that were visiting and it was a marginal experience. Could have been a number of things, location of the table, overall noise level, a favored selection not available. The wait staff did their best, but it was just an ok evening.
Great for any special romantic occasion!
We really enjoyed our evening at Mandolin. The food was fresh and delicious. The size of the dish for the price was impressive. We would definitely recommend!
The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us just the right amount of service.
There was a private party going on and they could have used more wait staff and an extra bartender for the regular dining room. Service was ultra slow. Ordered the $32 NY strip steak which had good flavor but was chewy and tough with lots of gristle. Was entirely dissatisfied and probably won’t go back.
Very delicious went on a date , sat at the bar , yum yum. Dollar oysters 5:30-6:30
Delicious food , great bartender , not busy on sundays so big groups, come on!
Brunch was fine but not over the top. Advertised Bloody Mary with okra was only served with olive and the waiter did not share this when we ordered. First disappointment. Felt rushed to order as we could not enjoy our drinks first. Then the potatoes with the omelette were tasteless and dry. Trout omelette was delicious! So I would give this restaurant another try, but not for brunch.
Lovely restaurant. Perfect brunch spot. The food and service were excellent! We all really enjoyed our meal.
Farm fresh food! Very southern. It’s not easy to be gluten free, though. Need to navigate with care. Fresh, beautiful, tasty food.
Great service, friendly atmosphere, excellent quality food at a very reasonable price. Nuff said...
food and oysters are top notch. Wines tend to be on the strong side. Service attentive and sincere, but a bit overbearing.
Like the booking was fast and easy got to the restaurant did not realize it was a farm-to-table restaurant only had six options for a meal was able to make it customized to what we could eat a little expensive for what you got but overall would recommend the place
The food was absolutely phenomenal. It was so fresh and the menu was unique. Massive wine selection! Our waiter Doug was so personable and did such a great job explaining the menu and the background. We’ll definitely go there again. I would recommend the valet parking as parking nearby is scarce, but totally worth it. It’s such a unique experience.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!!
There was another party at a nearby table who were very noisy, the host had no issue moving us to a different table further away from the overly energetic customers :)
Wait staff was attentive ,knowledgeable and passionate about the restaurant. Food was superb. Decor and ambiance were quite good for a date.
Great experience! The food was cooked to perfection and the staff was very responsive and helpful with item selections. We can’t wait to come back! Hubs and I
would drive from Charlotte and get a hotel for night just to eat here again.
Food is reliably good and innovative. The service is superb! We like how the chef presents new items but also maintains a stable core of favorite dishes.
Our meal was amazing. This is definitely a top 10 restaurant in Raleigh right up there with Pooles, Crawford, Bida, Bhavana, Stanbury, and Garland.
David...we certainly appreciate your high praise and look forward to being able to serve you again in the future!
Amazing dining experience! Honestly one of the best meal we have had in RTP. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. A must go!
The food was amazing! Sean is a Southern Master.
Our request for seating that could accommodate hearing issues was totally ignored. The only seat we were offered was within sight of the kitchen. We have eaten at Mandolin on several occasions before and were accommodated well. No one who goes to the trouble of making a reservation should be seated by the kitchen. We will think twice about visiting this restaurant again.
We had an awesome time there. The Bar menu was extremely high quality food at an affordable price. Our server was super nice.
We’ve been here a number of times. Very mixed evening. We ordered fresh snapper as first course given the huge ribeye was supposed to take 30+ minutes. Both came out at the same time. A bit disappointing.
Thank you so much for your patronage at Mandolin. I appreciate you taking the time to share about your experience on Tuesday. I am terribly sorry for the mix-up with the pacing of your meal. We take what we do very seriously, but we occasionally fall short of our mark. I hope that you enjoyed the snapper and the ribeye and will offer us the opportunity to serve you again and make up for this past experience. Sincerely, Sean Fowler Chef-Owner
Beautiful ambience with low lighting. The menu is purposely limited, but the food is outstanding. Very extensive wine list!
Overall, we like other places better that aren't as pricey and haughty. Charcuterie board's duck prosciutto and assorted pickles were favorites. Whole (really - head, fins, whole) "vermillion" (isn't that just red?) snapper was boney and buttery. First time for chicken and (buckwheat) waffles did not create a fan, although I liked the sound of the truffle- honey when I read it on the menu.
My fiancé and I were in Raleigh for a wedding. We always do some research and talk with the locals wherever we go for recommendations on where to eat, which is how we found Mandolin. This restaurant exceeded our (already high) expectations in every way. So much so that we would take the 8 hour drive from Philadelphia to come back to Raleigh to eat at Mandolin again. Everything from the cocktails through dessert was so carefully crafted and the flavor profile of each dish was so very on point. We are grateful to have had Doug as our waiter who enhanced the whole experience for us from the moment we walked in! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fresh, local, amazing meal in Raleigh!
One of our favorite places in the triangle for brunch. Love the farm fresh ingredients and eggs. Steak and eggs is one of my favorites. The biscuits are awesome!
Fantastic anniversary dinner. Loved our waitress Kathy! Can’t wait to come back again soon!
This was the best meal I have ever had, everything was perfect. I can’t wait to return.
Graduation celebration and it was Devine.
Food was delicious, service was outstanding. Would definitely come back again.
None of the wine we ordered was in stock. We asked for 6 different wines. They had one and we confirmed that they a second bottle but then it had disappeared when we ordered it. Plus it took forever for the server to advise us of each wine that we couldn’t get. That was really disappointing. The wines were on the list but not available.
Mother’s Day brunch was delicious and quick service.
Service was excellent, anticipating our needs. Food was wonderful, as always.
Enjoyed the brunch menu with my family. Disappointed that Open Table allowed a 2:15 reservation, but their kitchen closes at 2:30. We had to hurry to order. The bloody mary was watery, will not order again. Steak and eggs was ordered, but I didn't get a choice of type of cook on eggs nor steak. Disappointing. Overall it was a nice time, but I expected more.
