Everything we ate was bland, from the hummus and baba ganoj to the salads, the chicken and fish dishes and pides. None of the dishes were worth ordering again, and the most disappointing was the STALE bread served (late) with the dips. Not being able to distinguish between the butter and the feta cheese in the complementary plate was quite a surprise on the palate. Service was very friendly, but not efficient.
Waiters need to be trained on how to serve a table from beginning to end from setting up to delivery of food to pick up empties to clean up.
Delicious Greek/Turkish food. Welcome addition to Sandy Springs dining options. Friendly and helpful waitress.
This was our first and probably last time dining at this restaurant. The food was greasy (zucchini pancakes) and my dish the lamb was chewy and tasteless. The rice pudding was awful. The baklava was good. Service was almost non existent. We asked for bread 4 times!
There are way too many good restaurants in the area to go back to Mandolin.
We really liked this place. The staff was super friendly, the food was good. It’s new. I haven’t been too impressed by sandy springs restaurants, but I liked this one.
We were there (4 friends) for lunch. Food was excellent., BUT...the kitchen was very slow. We waited about 45 minutes for food even though there was only one other table of diners. Our server was great; don’t know why the dishes took so long to come out.
Love the food, the ambiance and the friendly service!
Very friendly service from valet to mailer de and hostess to wait staff
Food was very good to excellent
Main entree lamb/beef with bulgur very good to excellent
Though Mediterranean it had Turkish and Greek emphasis= nice.
I would definitely return.
The lamb kabobs were excellent; and all other appetizers and ingredients were of similar high qulity. And the wait staff was very patient in explaining all the items on the menu.
Three friends met for dinner. We very much enjoyed our red pepper appetizer (steered there by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable waitress), as well as the complimentary bread basket with accompaniments. I have never had such delicious, fresh-tasting feta - the best ever! One of us had karides/shrimp and the other two, chicken kabobs. Meaty, succulent, ample. I am not a big fan of rice, but both types were delicious. Excellent service. Will definitely recommend to others and return!
Superb food and friendly staff. Truly enjoyed it. We tried meze appetizers and doner kebab, everything was delicious.
Beautiful experience. Food was amazing and filling. Customer service was great and i love the complimentary valet. Very attentive servers. Great prices and authentic and delicious food.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommended...
First time there. Menu is varied with excellent appetizers, delicious shrimp and beef mains but will try the fish on our next visit. Value is very good with very large portions. Looking forward to our next time.
I have never met such a warm and inviting management team. From the hostess to our server and even the valet… Everyone bent over backwards to make sure we had a good visit. Food was amazing and fresh…Quantities were huge and we had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. What a great spot.
Second time and won't be our last! We were with another couple (their first time at Mandolin Kitchen) and sat in the main dining room. Three of us ordered various kabobs and the fourth ordered lentil soup and beet salad. We all loved our meals. The service was great - attentive, but not in your face. It's a small restaurant, so nice and quiet and good for conversation. We are all sort of over the "eating at a construction site" noise level. I had the chicken kabob, which was a little spicy, but not too much, and served on a very generous serving of rice with veggies. One of the people ordered baklava, which he must have loved, because there wasn't a speck left when he was finished. So happy to have Mandolin Kitchen in Sandy Springs. We really needed you!
Beautiful place and nice ambiance but food was pretty average for the price. Expensive... there are better options around.
Best Turkish food I had in the US. Yes, not just Atlanta...
Everything was cooked to perfection and according to the original, traditional recipes.
Will go back for sure
Great food and service!
Delicious hummus and the pistachio and date salad was divine.
I am so disappointed with my visit to Mandolin. Other than our excellent valet Shawn, the entire evening was a waste of time and money. The food bordered on inedible and the staff seemed bored.
Food was delicious! They have done a good job redecorating from the previous restaurant. Everyone was also very nice and friendly. Will be going back soon.
This is an incredible, authentic Turkish restaurant. If you like Mediterranean food you will love everything on the menu. We had several starters, salad, fish, kebab, and desert to follow and each dish was impeccable and fresh.
The restaurant is beautifully designed - truly elegant and tasteful. They play soft Turkish music in the background, so you’re really getting a true experience. The staff were all personable, sweet, and helpful. We will definitely be back (frequently, hah!), and will recommend this gem to everyone.
We loved it! We had a light meal with amazing lentil soup. He had a beet salad and I had delicious felafel. The service was perfect - efficient, friendly, warm. The restaurant is on the small side, intimate and inviting. It was our first time at Mandolin Kitchen and it certainly won't be our last.
Best Mediterranean restaurant in Atlanta! My wife is Mediterranean’ and she was impressed by the food, service and. atmosphere.
My boss was thoroughly impressed with what I chose for he and his team, for dinner. He stated the food and service was excellent. The restaurant was very close to the office, very reasonable and stated, resoundingly, that he would go back in a heartbeat.
Food is pretty good. Service is very slow and definitely needs to work out the kinks. Our table had no silverware and nobody seemed to notice. Took forever just to get water. They need a floor manager would has real experience running a restaurant.
I did not get the same service or treatment as other guest of Mediterranean origin I totally felt uncomfortable and out of place
The food was tasty. The hummus was rather thin. We asked for medium \ rare salmon, but it came medium/well. The service was spotty; we waited a long time for everything, including our drink order. It felt like the restaurant is still trying to find a rhyme. Hopefully, next time the kitchen and the wait staff will work more smoothly.
Also, it was my husband's birthday, which I noted on the Open Table reservation, but it was not acknowledged.
Food was great . We are going back . Lots of fun tasting different foods . We loved the place.
Appetizer was great.Main entrance took long time to arrive and was not as good as the appetizer.Decent Lebanese wines list.Service was pretty good. They just opened a month ago and obviously are not up yet to the task.Eventually they will get there.
Understaffed, inattentive, and long wait for food. They need to work out the kinks.
Amazing service and awesome staff. The food was authentic and full of flavor! Absolutely loved their hummus and baklava! The portions for apps are plentiful.
Only recommendation I have is not to charge extra for the warm fresh pita bread. Meals come with complimentary bread and crunchy pita... but people want the fresh pita! This is small, but kind of a big deal when you visit a Mediteranean restaurant.
we were 8 adults and 2 kids, all were happy with the food and the service was above and beyond!
Great place. Great food. Best service. Perfect atmosphere.
Good ambiance, Great food, Unique Mediterranean Dishes, Great service.
Food-chops were good.veg was poor.bread great! Service great!
The food was EXCELLENT
For our first visit, we shared the calamari which came with 2 sauces and was excellent, and could easily feed 4. We shared the lamb kabob, came with rice and an onion side, and roasted tomato. We took home half of it. My server let me try a sip of the Lebanese Cab and I enjoyed a glass of it with my meal. We ended with the cinnamon Turkish flan, a very good ending to the meal. Lots of Turkish dishes to try next time.
