We have eaten here often. The service and the food has gone downhill. The wait staff doesn’t bring Anything unless you ask for it. Then it takes too long to get it. Our server had an attitude when we asked for plates for appetizers. I’m sorry—we don’t eat with our hands and off the appetizer plates. I had the Doner. It was dry and not good at all. Very disappointed. Service and the food needs to get better.
Food and service was good
I will definitely go back
We were seated next to a large group of four adults and six noisy children and were glad when they left. Our server was great, the wine was great, but the food was below average. My dolma were not like any grape leaves I have ever had, but maybe the Turkish style is different from The Greek. My chicken avogoliemo soup was inedible. It tasted like it had huge lumps of flour in it, but I guess it was supposed to be rice. There was no flavor, let alone lemon flavor, and the chicken was barely there.
Servers were really nice, dirty place settings, food just ok. Have had better at other area restaurants.
Great service interesting menu great food. We will definitely come back.
Mandolin is a fine restaurant and if it was in my neighborhood I might go every once in awhile. But since it is right next door to Rumi’s Kitchen, without a doubt I would pick Rumi’s every time!!!!
Fabulous Turkish food. Addictively delicious. Don’t miss it!
Our waiter Sharif could not have been more accomodating. The food is absolutely outstanding and everyone is extremely pleasant from the manager to the valet parkers. I will recommend them to all my friends and will continue my support!!
We were sat on the patio between two occupied tables when there other areas that would have felt more private...then ordered a trio of dips. Dips were good but the $4 veggies that cam with them since we asked for a bread substitution were pathetic.
Lamb kabob and zucchini pancakes were tasty. My husband ordered lamb donor (recommended by the waiter) and it was shards of meat rather than nice strips and (looked like mall food) and gave him horrible indigestion...don't think we will be back.
The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it. Reception and all service staff were very helpful and cordial.
The food and service were terrific and our waiter was extremely good. This was our second time and the food was consistently good
Always great! Love taking people that have not been to Mandolin, but live here; they are as impressed as we are and make it a destination for themselves. We are doing our best to promote our new favorite Sandy Springs restaurant!
We love to eat in our Sandy Springs neighborhood. Mandolin Kitchen is a great mediterranean
restaurant. Food and ambiance is great.
Great Mediterranean cuisine. Nice variety. Large portions
With my husband and loved it
Great food and service. Ample portions with appetizer. Requiring valet parking during lunch hour seemed unnecessary.
Well prepared and large portions. Will visit again.
Sooo delicious! Turkish recipes rather than Lebanese or other Mediterranean cuisine. My friend who was a first timer, but adventurous, loved it. Extraordinary beet salad, Albanian liver bites, zucchini pancakes that were an herby yummy hearty meal, a smokes eggplant dish that was ok, but shadowed by others. Piece de resistance was a paatry dessert they had to make for us:kortefe?? Shredded pastry stuffed w a special stringy cheese (whose name I think is also kortefe, make into a little pie, baked & drizzled w honey based syrup. O My!!!
Make there own yoghurt, some of their cheeses, phyllo . Small gem! Very helpful w menu. Outstanding!
Outstanding Turkish food. A real gem. Good price point. Lovely gregarious manager. Go foodies and adventurers ( if you are somehow shy about Turkish food). Much of this menu will be very familiar to you.
Loved it. Great mediterranean food. Will be returning.
It was a fabulous meal and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back soon!
The service at Mandolin has always been great!! The food is creative, and s ring as there are other Persian restaurants near by , I enjoy the unique Turkish dishes
Try the Lamb you will not be disappointed..... OUTSTANDING!!
Wow is all I can say. What a wonderful experience
Good experience over all but no kids menu or kids friendly food, other than that fantastic place!
Excellent food & service the second time. The calamari was very tender, with a delicately spiced breading. The lamb shank and lamb kebab were both well-prepared and tasty. The salmon and tiger shrimp were also excellent
My wife celebrated our anniversary and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We felt like we were family the way they took care of us. If you like seafood dishes, Mandolin Kitchen is great.
Tasty generous portions ,excellent service, great neighborhood restaurant
Mandolin Kitchen NEVER fails to impress! I've visited about 3 times total and every time I go I fall in love with the food even more than the time before. It's authentic Turkish food run by Turks and Middle Eastern people who KNOW their product and know how to make it just like home. It's fairly quiet during the afternoon, but can get very busy for dinner. Their sujok and pastirma pide is to die for, tastes like home! Fair enough to say everything on the menu is incredible and everyone should try it out!
We arrived at Mandolin Kitchen and they were waiting for us with wheelchair accommodations.
From the beginning of our meal to the wonderful birthday desert for our birthday friend they were attentive and happy to serve us. The food was delicious and ample size. We took home "doggie" bags for another meal.
This was our first Turkish experience. Extremely pleased— will be back with friends! One of Atlanta’s best kept secrets!
My family and I were pleasantly surprise by the quality and delicious food. Will be back soon.
We went on mother’s Day, wanting Persian food because of a positive experience at Rumis kitchen. (Rumis kitchen was booked). The food was cheaper and quality was excellent, maybe almost up to Rumis. The service however was very slow (maybe because of the holiday). The main reason for the 3 star review was the music. It was loud, very high energy music that my son described as international dance music. Most of the clientele were older (not in their 20s) and I was wondering how they could enjoy the intensity of the sound. The tables were also quite close together. If the dining experience had been more relaxing and the service better it might be up there with rumis kitchen.
Having grown up in Turkey, I am a tough critique for Turkish restaurants in the US. Mandolin did not disappoint. (I must add that it was Mother's Day and they were slammed) I am planning to go back with friends. It is nice to have a good Turkish restaurant so close.
Overall, a great meal and a nice time. Started off with being out of the wine we selected. Then they were out of one of the entrees that was selected by a guest. However, the food that we did order was delicious. We had forgotten the AJC review said that it was a good idea to share entrees. Would recommend and will go back.
Love eating at Mandolin but 180$ lunch in the back yard of a house? I recommend having dinner here very nice ambience at night
The food here is authentic and beyond delicious, service is attentive and fantastic across the board, ambiance is lovely.
Good food large portions. Friendly staff.
