We had a meal for 26 people so this review needs to be digested realizing this. I have no doubt that dining with a small group of friends or loved ones would result in a different review. I was very impressed by the efficiency in service. They served us well. The food itself was very good, but I would not say it was remarkable. Some with steaks felt that the meat was a bit fatty. Those with the traditional Paella liked it a great deal. The real winner was the Baked Lasagna. I think if I were to go back again, I would stick with Italian cuisine and not venture from that. The dessert trio was good yet very small portion.
Took customers and it was a perfect experience for all. Food, service, and atmosphere were all top notch. Great value.
Dinner before comedy show at Comerica. Food was great, outdoor seating was lovely. Service was quick and helpful.
Everything was great. Friendly wait staff and delicious food, what more could you ask for? We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. It was quiet and with a romantic atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. He was very knowledgeable of the foods preparation and helped us choose amazing entrees.
Restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a downtown shopping complex. Not visible from the street. Ambiance was nice. Food was very good. Service was just adequate. I would not hesitate to go back as long as I was not in a hurry.
We ordered the oysters from point Reyes and they were not fresh so we tried the escargot. They were overcooked and sitting on mushroom caps. Split the osso bucco and it was delicious. It came with steamed asparagus and risotto. The meet was tender and the gravy was good.
We had really poor service. We kept having to try to find the waiter to get more drinks, other food, etc. We couldn’t even get him to come to the table when we wanted to pay and leave. Very frustrating. Our food took forever. They put in the wrong order but we accepted it as it was since we had already waited an hour. We go out to eat often. This one was a miss, sadly.
When you are spending a lot of money for dinner, I expect white glove service.
Though our waiter was very nice, the food was average. The service was extremely slow. They were not terribly crowed. The waiter kept apologizing about the delay of the food, but nothing ever seemed to get done.
We will not be going back.
The food was amazing, but more expensive than what I'd remembered from past visits. The waiter was fairly grumpy...so much so that it was the joke of the evening! Having said that, the food was great and service was fast & attentive. We'll likely be back, as it's a great location to have a nice meal before events at the local venues.
Outstanding menu selections across the board with excellent service as well as awesome deserts!!
Our server Jorge was very friendly and the auxiliary staff, kept the water glasses full, table clean and very courteous. Food was excellent. Did get a little noise, from conversations, but no more than other venues. Prices were fair and food tasty!
The food was amazing! Go hungry because the servings are not small! The waiter was very friendly and felt like a friend. You won’t be disappointed!
Went to the symphony last Friday and had dinner at Mancuso’s before the show. Had a lovely dinner and the service was wonderful. We told our waitress, Nicole M., that we were in a bit of a hurry with the show starting at 7:30, and she did everything to help us get to the show on time. She made it happen! So, the service was excellent, the ambience was beautiful, the food was sumptuous, and the drinks were incredibly smooth. This isn’t a place where you go looking for value meals. This was a First-class experience! I am definitely going to recommend this restaurant to someone coming downtown to see the symphony.
What a lovely gem of a restaurant! Exquisite service! Sea bass was amazing. Lasagna is one of their specialties! My husband loved it!!! For dessert we thoroughly enjoyed the lemoncello merengue pie. It’s a MUST. We will definitely be back
Great menu and food prepared for delicious meal. Service was spot on. The environment is wonderful as it is one of the rare restaurants you can actually enjoy dinner conversation with your companions as the acoustics dampen noise levels.
Nothing special. Nice decor. Food mediocre for the prices.
Was okay to try ones.
We chose from the restaurant week 3 course menu. The cannelloni was delicious. The other three guests had the filet. They were all prepared to the perfect temperature for each guest. The service was perfect.
Service was awesome. The calamari app was mediocre. Nothing special at all. My restaurant week meal was served with the wrong vegetables listed on the menu.
Enjoyed our meal. We only ordered entrees but all excellent. Pork chop, salmon, veal, cannelloni Alfredo. Would recommend Mancuso’s
It's the perfect pre-theatre high-end restaurant with great food and a refined atmosphere.
Enjoyed Restaurant Week menu.
The menu items offered for the Restaurant Week promotion were exceptional. The service was prompt.
We love this restaurant for its downtown convenience and great location to other downtown activities.
Very good food. We split the spinach arugula salad and the paella which was plenty for two. The limoncello cake was delicious, and coffee very good from usual evening fare. Service was friendly and prompt and everyone greets you and thanks you for coming. Great place to get dinner before a game/show at Talking Stick Arena
Made a birthday reservation and not once was any special mention made. Waiter was rather blaise
However the bar was nice ....
Loved it! Overall an excellent experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Premium dining experience!
Totally worth the price and the atmosphere was wonderful!
We had a very tasty meal here, plus just a nice place to sit and be able to hear each other. You must try the Spinach, Arugula and quinoa salad. Trust me. It’s one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Ever. Goat cheese, figs, walnuts and crunchy julienned carrots (not on the menu but a wonderful, if not important, as lib). I then orders the linguine with clams. Having spent most of my life on the shore in Massachusetts, I am very fussy about this dish. But this was excellent. Lots of tender pieces of clams, small shel clams and a perfect, light white sauce. Do it! Husband had the special halibut Oscar. Delicious presentation, although he thought the fresh halibut itself was a tad tasteless. But we ate everything with gusto.
Lamb chops were underseasoned. The pistachio crust masked the flavor of the lamb, but was surprisingly bland. Did not taste lamb till last bite. The cream sauce did not go with the lamb but went very well with the saffron rice. The rice was the best thing on the plate.
Suggest the chef get rid of the pistachio crust (which was soggy with sauce over it), season the lamb properly and grill lamb directly.
Enjoyed a very nice Pasta meal with friends before a concert at Symphony Hall. Wait staff was extremely attentive and kind. Water glasses were always full. Nonna Mancuso would be proud of her restaurant today.
Great food wonderful waiter
Dead dead, salad was just ok and we left to find better ambiance.
Great experience start to finish. Kevin was our server and he is a pro. Highly recommend.
Best Chilean seabass I've ever had. Thought the risotto could've been a little better, even though it was pretty good. Would definitely dine here again. Love the menu selection.
Our pasta dish i could not even eat! Lobster was over cooked -sauce was good but didn’t even eat my meal
We had been to Mancuso's in Scottsdale many times and until recently did not know they were now downtown Phoenix. The halibut special was delicious and cooked perfectly, my husband ordered his favorite dish, veal oscar. He said it was as good as he remembered. We enjoyed our dinner and will return again!
It was our 46th anniversary celebration. The food was excellent. I had the lobster crab appetizer & shrimp/scallops scampi. My hubby had the lamb chop special. Sooooo delicious. We had a booth that was so romantic. Our waitress was great too. Definitely coming back
BTW. U might want to put a sign on sidewalk to say take escalator to second floor as nothing on the billboard to say where restaurant was located.
The food was great! Thanks for adding to the great experience we had here in Phoenix for our convention!!
Food was ok but drinks were very watered down and not what was ordered. Waitress had an attitude when we complained and said she’d have to ask the manager in order to bring me the right drink. Then she came back with the same drink and had just switched out the olives. Very disappointed and would not recommend.
