Great experience from the beginning till the end. Food is the best of the best, truffle pizza and truffle ravioli OMG, no words can describe. Love this place
Great lunch to hang out with friend. Good food value and nice environment!
Dining at MAMO was an absolute TREAT!
It is a GEM in SOHO; to be enjoyed for any occasion.
Does to NYC traffic, we arrived slightly after our reservation time. We had called ahead and was told there would be no problem in holding our table for our arrival.
The entrance is well lit and the ambiance they created by placing Tea-Lights on the stairs going to the upper level provided an immediate warm feeling for us.
We were promptly seated; water and breads provided and then we were given our Menu’s.
We opted to start with the Caprese Salad and the Burrata it is served with was wonderfully creamy.
We ordered two (2) different pastas to share - a Green Maltagliati (Like Tagliatelle) and their Spaghetti Vongole (Clams). Both were slightly “Al Dente” and we’re absolutely delightful.
We ended the meal with their Tiramisu; that would have been sufficient for four (4).
I look forward to returning to NYC and dining at MAMO again. Definitely a restaurant to put on your list if you’re a Foodie.
Zoe and her Team provided Outstanding Service for us and we saw everyone else in the corner of the restaurant we were seated in.
While making a reservation on opentable, I clearly mentioned that we'll be celebrating my husband's birthday and please make it special in some way. But we didn't get even a candle put on the dessert. I even mentioned to the girl at the reception that we are here for birthday celebration but still we were given a table in between and no efforts were made for the celebration not even a candle on the dessert. So disappointed on that part.
Reminded them when reservation was confirmed that this was a birthday celebration and once again when we arrived and they still forgot to bring out a candle and dessert. We ultimately had to tell the waiter again after everyone’s dessert already arrived so that it was no longer a surprise.
We went here for the valentines dinner. We ordered from the pri fix menu. 1- the waiters took our entrees before we had finished 2- the halibut was not cooked all the way through 3- the shrimp smelled like it had gone bad 4- we felt totally rushed 5- the dinner was over priced and did not taste good at all. It was not a good experience and we regretted going there.
It was lovely
Went for Valentine’s Day dinner and they decorated every table in theme - it was so cute!
My fiance and I had a great Valentine's Day dinner here! This is the perfect date night spot and the food was delicious. Looking forward to coming back!
Mamo is a gem of a restaurant. From the appetizers to desserts, all the food was outstanding.
The service was top-notch along with the ambience. It's a must to go to. We look forward to returning.
very good food. nice wine list. Convenient to where we were staying. Would recommend
Excellent food!! Everything was wonderful except the noise level is very high -you have to talk very loud to hear the person sitting next to you
Great food, service and ambiance. It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all.
The food at MAMO is honestly some of the best italian I have had in NYC. We got the Bolognese, cacio e pepe, Salmon and a pizza to share and everything was very authentic and fresh. Highly recommend this place for date night, dinner with friends or when you have a guest in town visiting.
It was ok. Nothing to write home about it
The food was very good but what was very upsetting when they pushed in another table next to us to make a 6 an 8. The tables next to us there was only an inch between. That was not bad enough but the 6 never became an 8.
The other issue you can’t even finish chewing your food and they want to clear the table. We did 3 corses and this happened all three. This took away from dinning. They should clear this up.
The truffle pizza was very tasty and was enough for four people to share as an appetizer. The food is a bit pricey.
Loved this place! Awesome restaurant week menu. Large portions, great service, reasonably priced. Would recommend and return!
The ambiance was phenomenal. The wine suggestion, exquisite.
The food was delicious and worth the trip. Unfortunately, the service was beyond horrible. Our waiter did not come to the table for about 10 minutes. He never checked in on our food. At dessert, we asked to order two coffees and we never received the coffees. Instead, moments after getting our dessert he brought us the check. Horrible way to end a delicious dinner. We will not be back.
The only problem was the noise level. You had to
scream to communicate at the table. Why don't
restaurants put acoustical tiles in the ceiling
anymore. Food, service, and ambiance were all
Went for Restaurant Week, but going back for dinner because it was that good. Great vibe, wonderful food and a really fun and competent wait staff. Tight quarters downstairs, but it feels like a typical small restaurant in France- cozy and welcoming.
Great service, food had a lot of flavor, and the ambience was great. Perfect for a cozy birthday dinner. Everything from the artichoke appetizer to the tiramisu dessert was delicious!
Very intimate setting - but also fun! Such great service and the food was INCREDIBLE. Best restaurant we ate at the whole trip!
Our service told us words could not describe the Truffle Pizza and he was so right! Perfection in a bite.
Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. And I spent 3 weeks in Italy this past May.
Anything with truffle is to die for. The truffle pizza is the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. Same goes for the truffle risotto. Worth every penny.
Great wait staff and amazing food
Can’t complain, best restaurant in town. Always a good idea when my friends and family are visiting and I want to impress them about how incredible food, good price and outstanding service can be found in one place. Thank you Zoe, David and Andrea & all the staff for always being so amazing.
For a NYE alla carte menu of small dishes I was happily full. The restaurant was so perfectly decorated and chic. The service was impeccable. I would definitely go back for a simple date or an occasion. The raviolini was probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had and I am normally a snob about fresh pasta.
Beautiful ambiance ! eggplant was a bit burned but still good pizza a bit too much cheese crust lost it’s crispness
The best! The staff and food was absolutely amazing
Lovely restaurant and our waiter was great but we had an issue with the service! Our starter was delivered quickly and we asked that we could have time before our main was delivered as we love to enjoy a long leisurely meal! We were shocked that our main was delivered as our starter was being cleared away as soon as we had finished it! The manager came and apologized saying it was her fault and not our servers! She offered free desert but we told her that we were too full having eaten everything so quickly! She offered lemon cello which we also politely declined but it was sent anyway. Then desert also arrived! Just too crazy, didn’t listen to us or compensate us in the correct way! Sadly spoilt a special evening for us!
good location. The staffs are well trained and friendly. Good food, nice environment. Good wine selection. Service is fast.
The food was amazing and the service was all right.
Very good Italian all homemade and not too expensive. Extremely cramped and loud but I didn’t mind it because it felt like an exciting and authentic atmosphere! I would go again and order the pastas for sure. Also excellent dessert
What a great dining experience. Everything was excellent; from the service - our waiter Ruben was so nice and helpful - to the ambience, to the food. The stand out dish for me was the rigatoni amatriciana, prepared with small and crunchy delicious bits of bacon.
Extremely noisy but food really good
