This restaurant was amazing. Due to Covid restrictions they gave us our own private dining room. The chef greeted us personally. We enjoyed good food, great service, and a very attentive staff. We will be back next time we’re in Mammoth. Thank you.
The best food I’ve ever had in mammoth . Hands down an excellent local establishment , I’ve been here 2 times now a year apart and the food and service is impeccable. If you want an amazing culinary experience come here, your tastebuds will thank you
We have Been here many times and keep coming back because of the excellent food and wonderful service!
We had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was perfect—great menu selections in addition to traditional turkey entree, excellent service, and tables spaced appropriately for Covid precautions.
The food was so great - The Chef was so sweet and accommodating - we cant wait to go back !
We had high hopes for this place, but when we sat down It took the waiter at least 15 minutes to acknowledge us. When he did he was nice. The drinks and appetizers were very good.
When It came down to the entrees is where It became disappointing. I ordered the lamb shank and my boyfriend ordered the rib eye. Both were between 40-50$ a plate. Then lamb was nothing to write home about and It came with McDonald’s style French fries (pomme frites) and awful sides. Uncooked chopped zucchini and something else we couldn’t recognize, maybe a leek.
The rib eye was the worst steak I’ve ever had, dry and not cooked to temperature as ordered. For a 50$ plate the sides and steak should not be sub par. We sent the rib eye back and they graciously offered another steak and gave us a free cocktail. We decided not to go with another steak, It was that bad.
Once the bill was brought we had to wait another 15 min for the waiter to come back for our payment; there was one other table there. The chef proceeded to come out to the bar and serve the hostess and himself drinks. Very unprofessional while there are still guests in the restaurant. While we were walking out, the “chef,” still behind the bar, told us to “have a good night” in what sounded like a condescending and fake accent, clearly upset that we had sent the steak back.
All in all, not worth the $.
Great food always . Highly recommend the rack of lamb and their fish special is always on point
We had a delicious dinner from start to finish. The wild mushroom strudel was a tasty appetizer to begin with. We both had the harvest squash soup which was delicious! I had the scallop entree and the other entree was the barramundi. They were both served with well prepared and balanced vegetables. The dessert was a warm apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Our waiter was friendly and respectful. Chef Freddie came out and chatted and asked how everything was. It was a perfect evening out to enjoy wonderful food in a very pleasant environment with friendly people and relaxing French music.
Excellent food!!!!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!
Great food! Delicious wine recommended by chef. Will definitely return next visit to Mammoth.
Food was so good-really unexpected above a bowling alley-Veal special is a must!!
Everything from start to finish was outstanding. We had excellent service with Jason, and of course every bite of food form Chef Fed was absolutely delicious. And he even comes to check on you to be sure everything is fine. Highly recommend when you want a first class experience!
Was a wonderful evening, the food was great, atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice dinner.
The perfect escape from COVID, SMOKE, and FIRE.
Peaceful, modern setting with excellent service and lots of social distancing between tables.
Summer tomato appetizer is a must. The steak was delish.
Bar service excellent.
We will return
Wonderful service, and the chef is so friendly as well. Food was just delicious. the lamb chops were so tender and tasty, and the special soup was so velvety and comforting and delicious. We had a great time!
The food is awesome they accommodate for food issues and made a custom dessert to dairy free it is always such a pleasure to dine here
Wonderful experience, as always. Thank you.
Simply wonderful food served in a fantastic setting. There is no better view from another restaurant in Mammoth.
Read great reviews and tried it out with 3 others. Friends were skeptical because it’s at a bowling alley! But it’s upstairs and nice. Big outdoor deck with a nice view. Food was excellent. Definitely try the elk medallions, delicious. Wine selection was good. Spent about $60 per person for appetizers and main course plus a glass of wine. The bowling alley is super modern and nice, genius idea. Let the kids bowl downstairs while the parents have a nice meal! Will definitely return next time I’m in Mammoth.
No review. A favorite restaurant. Always good. If the review is not long enough. Sorry
Great food and service. Stephen our waiter was a delight.
Don’t be fooled by the bowling alley in the same building, this is a beautiful upstairs restaurant with a gorgeous view patio. The food is delicious, French inspired and with a nice variety. Very good wine selection and exceptional service. Can highly recommend!
Exceptional service and high quality restaurant; excellent food and wine selection. Great unobstructed view of the mountains from their outdoor 2nd floor deck. Fabulous surprise to find it above bowling alley in a somewhat hidden location. 5*
Chef Freddy NEVER disappoints! His food is always consistently very well presented and prepared. If he ever has the veal porterhouse special, GET IT...if you don’t, you have failed the IQ test. We always have dinner here whenever we’re in Mammoth. Note: dress warmly because the heat lamps on the outdoor patio can’t keep up with the wind chill.
The place is amazing. The back drop to the mountains. But most importantly is the food and the service. Chef comes out and talks with you and provide you with good tips to order the right food. The presentation of the food is also amazing. And the food is out of this world everything was spectacular
Excellent food and fantastic service.. outside seating due to the pandemic and handled very well by the staff
Our first meal at a restaurant since COVID, and it did not disappoint. We had a beautiful outdoor table with stunning views. Food, wine and service were all exceptional.
Great - although I thought the food was a little off. French fries with everything, poor vegetables, low on flavour.
Went here for my husband’s birthday and food, service and atmosphere was amazing, as always
Great food and experience
Great recommendations by the Chef too
Great service (friendly and very COVID conscious)
Food was DELICIOUS! Best we’ve had this year in Mammoth.
Will definitely go back.
Food was excellent as always. I enjoyed the elk medallions. My husband ordered the short rib bolognese which he said was one of his favorite restaurant meals ever.
Terrace has a great view. It can be cold but they’re doing the best they can during these times.
So nice to be in beautiful atmosphere w great chef and food excellent wine list and view of the Sherwyns
Another outstanding dinner at the Brasserie! The tomato salad special was amazing, the best we've had all summer and we eat a lot of tomatoes! The outside patio has a gorgeous view of the mountains and we enjoyed a spectacular sunset with a truly delicious dinner.
Had an amazing dinner at the brasserie. The special Soupe de Poison was outstanding as was the rouille. Overall outstanding meal. Enjoyed chatting with Chef Frederic. I'm really looking forward to trying out the white asparagus!!
Outside dining was very COVID safe and the view is spectacular. Best food in town .
Mammoth’s best restaurant, bar none. One suggestion would be to add heaters outside as, in these times of COVID, one has to sit outside. But overall, a great experience every time we go.
Délicieux avec excellent service. Merci beaucoup!
The location is odd. The Brasserie is on the top floor of the bowling alley and there is no sign indicating the Brasserie. The view is spectacular but because of the virus restrictions all seating is outdoor which is fine but there are no heaters. It was freezing.
Food is average but the biggest complaint is that my food was stone cold. I had the short rib pasta. I can tell that they pre-cooled the penne. Not a bad thing but they didn’t reheat it and just put it on top of the short rib.
Food is very good. Nice varied wine list. A little hard to see the value because of the pandemic restrictions. Also the need to change the menu items more often
