Very good food and excellent service. Courses felt a little rushed - our reservation was for 8:30pm and 5 courses served by 9:30pm, because staff were packing up. Otherwise great venue and highly recommended

From our arrival to our departure, food and service in between was nothing less then outstanding. They gave me an on the house birthday dessert surprise as well just to top it off. Definitely a must visit!!! We will be spreading the word.

Second time I have been to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Waiter was friendly and helpful, the food all fresh and delivered on a timely basis and wine selection very good. Highly recommend the toothfish.

Outstanding service. We had our Xmas function on Friday night at Mamasan and the food and the service were amazing. Guiseppe was our waitress for the night, and he really took care of us.

Our 3rd time last night was absolutely wonderful. We arrived 30 mins after the booking time because I got it wrong - moving house same day as my husband's birthday, arrived tired and weary. Even though our table was given away, the manager and staff did everything possible to accomodate us, including a complimentary drink. OUTSTANDING service! Honestly, we've been to Michellin Star and Chef Hats restaurants all around the world, and we've never seen such next level of service. Food was fantastic too, BTW! Looking forward to coming back after our move. Thank you team!

Wanted a table to eat and go. Asked for a table inside as restaurant was empty. When we left quickly after our food, tables were still empty… “sorry there’s bookings there” although we explained our situation. Food was nice, and I understand fine dining, but far too over priced for the portions.

Second time here…food equally as good as first time, which is exceptional. The mix of Asian flavours and Japanese influence is so delicious. It’s now our favourite restaurant, and worth a drive from Brisbane!

10 percent surcharge just for a Sunday I’m sure you would have your staff on a roster that includes SUNDAYS

Hi Trish, Thank you for your feedback. Yes, we have a 10% surcharge on Sundays. This means that hospitality businesses are required to pay all staff higher pay rates and as I'm sure you can appreciate, most service based businesses must pass some of this cost on to the customer in order for it to be financially viable to open on these days. I hope you do not feel that we as a business are in any way trying to be deceptive or charge unnecessary surcharges - at Mamasan our Sunday surcharge is 10% and this is stated on our menus and at a sign at our front desk when you walk in.
