   This was one of the worst experiences we’ve had in a while. We made a 630 reservation so we could have a few drinks and tacos, then go to an 8pm show at the Moore, a few blocks away. By 730 our food still was still not out. Finally a dish did come out by 740, and by 750 we all had our food which we literally had to shovel in our mouths before running to the theater. We told our server when seated we were going to a 8pm show and he kept telling us “oh 3 more minutes” from 7 to 740.. terrible experience overall. If a Mexican food restaurant can’t get 5 tacos and 3 burritos out of the kitchen in an hour, they shouldn’t be in business.

   Food was very good for the price. We sat in the bar and served by the bartender. Service was slow,not sure if it was understaffed but Saturday evening rush seemed to surprise the staff?

   Nothing like showing up to your reservation with a group of customers and having a note on the door that they chose to “paint the kitchen floor” and close for the day and NOT notify people who had reservations. In looking through the front door, all we could see was dirty tile that definitely didn’t look like it was painted. 🙄 we had two reservations for tables of 8 and neither of us were notified that the restaurant had decided to close for the day. Trust the reviews and do NOT patronize this establishment. Luckily Cactus on North Terry was able to accommodate our group.

   TERRIBLE experience. I made reservations online. When we showed up they said their telephone and open table were not working so they did not have a table for us. We waited FOREVER at the bar before finally getting the bartender to acknowledge us. I will give hats off to the server that came on shift right as we were deciding to give up on Mamas. He apologized and did not charge us for the drinks. But...don't waste your time here. Whoever took it over just ruined the reputation of this once loved restaurant.

   They didn’t seat us and didn’t have enough staff the waitress told us she was new and didn’t know about any reservations. So we went down the street and had lunch.

   Won’t go back. Service was very slow. Guacamole was made with brown avocados. Queso was burnt. No one finished their plate.

   Definitely still has the dive bar feel, however the food has gone downhill since the original closed down. Our server was obviously very stressed out and couldn’t seem to stay at any table for more than 10 seconds at a time, even with just 4 other tables in the restaurant. Our food came out before our drinks and the price was ridiculous for what we got. When we were leaving, a different server apologized and thanked us for our patience as they were busier earlier than they had expected. If she had been our server, or had our server mentioned this, I would have completely understood.

   A long-time Mexican restaurant in Seattle's Belltown slated for destruction to make room for yet another high rise. It's lasting longer than originally planned, our good fortune. If you had intentions of catching them before they're gone...hurry.

    In Seattle for just the weekend, and luckily found this little gem. There eight of us, and the place was kind of small, but they were ready for us. Server was on top of everything and the food was delicious. A little loud for my liking, but that’s a personal thing. Overall, I’d definitely go back because it was great!
