   Dieses Restaurant am Pariser Platz in Berlin möchte nur gut betuchte Gäste bedienen. Schulklassen oder andere Personen, die es sich nicht leisten können mindestens 10% Trinkgeld zu geben, sind hier nicht erwünscht. Nach Bezahlung der Rechnung und ca. 5% Trinkgeld weist die stetig unfreundliche und ungepflegte Servicekraft die Gäste in einem respektlosen Ton daraufhin, dass diese zukünftig besser zu MC Donalds gehen sollten. Vorher darf der Gast das Restaurant nicht verlassen! Es ist sehr schade, dass hier Kindern oder Personen mit weniger Einkommen kein schönes Erlebnis gegönnt wird und gleichsam kein realistischer Blick auf das Niveau der eigenen Serviceleistung geworfen wird. Solch eine Unterscheidung in Klassengesellschaften und respektloses Verhalten haben wir in noch keinem Restaurant erlebt. Auf gar keinen Fall empfehlenswert! Zudem: Brot ist trocken, Pizza war lauwarm, Service mehr als unfreundlich

   My wife is a coeliac and requires a gluten-free menu. We did some research before travelling to Berlin and found Mama Trattoria Berlin popped up on a few sites as being GF friendly. The staff were very knowledgeable and provided my wife with various options she could choose from. Whilst I'm not coeliac myself, both our meals were very good and reasonably priced considering that we were near the Brandenburg gate memorial. Lovely setting and very clean.

   Das essen war bestens in ordnung. Wir hatten beim verabschieden eine Tasche vergessen. Als wir anriefen stellte sich heraus dass der Innhaber sie schon gefunden hatte und sicher gestellt hatte. Sehr guten Service.

   Wer Pizza und Pasta liebt, kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten. Neben Klassik-Gerichten gibt es auch außergewöhnliche Angebote wie Avocado-Pizza. Auf Wunsch auch alles glutenfrei.

   We were a table of 6 people ordering food and drinks on a quiet evening with not many customers in the restaurant. The waiter refused to bring tap water for myself and my 10 year old child, and insisted we should order bottled water from the drinks menu. Considering how much we had already ordered in terms of food and drinks I found it outrageous that he was not willing to bring a glass of tap water for a child.

   Wir haben die Trattoria Mama zu Sylvester besucht und konnten dort a la carte zu moderaten Preisen und in guter Qualität einen schönen Abend verbringen (sehr positiv: keine Zwang zu teuren Menus!). Es handelt sich um eine moderne Systemgastronomie mit individuellem Flair. Der Innenraum ist gemütlich und auch bei vollem Restaurant ist der Geräuschpegel moderat. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam; man ist bei "Mama" wirklich um die Gäste bemüht. Es gibt eine ansprechende und vielfältige Speisekarte mit einigen vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten, sowie einige besonders gesunde Speisen wie vegetarische Bowls mit Quinoa. Jede Pizza kann man auch mit Bio-Dinkel- oder Bio-Vollkornmehl erhalten. Wir hatten überbackene Aubergine und Salat als Vorspeise, Pizza als Hauptgang und Eis sowie den Schokokuchen mit flüssigem Kern als Nachspeise, dazu einen Pinot Grigio. Das Essen würden wir mit gut bis sehr gut bewerten, einzig die Pizza hätte doch deutlich knuspriger gebacken und besser gewürzt sein dürfen. Alles in allem jedoch ein schönes Restauranterlebnis. Immerhin sprechen wir über eine zentrale Location in Berlin Mitte (Pariser Platz), wo man eher eine Massenabfertigung erwartet - von daher ist die Trattoria eine Empfehlung!

   What a joke! We contacted this restaurant by email well in advance of leaving Australia as we wanted to have a NYE booking locked in. Their website listed many gluten free options and as my wife is coeliac we wanted to be sure. We were assured they are very coeliac friendly. The area was fenced off due to the NYE celebrations but this wasn’t a problem as we were forewarned. We were ushered through by the police on guard with one saying ‘are you sure you want to go there?’ We thought it was a joke but alas. Upon arrival we ordered drinks, my wife a glass of sparkling wine which came in a champagne flute as it should, but less than half full. We then tried to order food to be told that they don’t have any gluten free options. When we questioned it the waiter was very disinterested and said ‘we’ve had a few gluten free customers today so it’s all gone’. We asked him to check with the kitchen and as he left he stopped to talk to another waitress who looked over and laughed, he returned to say the kitchen had said no. We advised we couldn’t stay so he proceeded to get the bill for the half champagne (charged at full rate) and my glass of coke. At least they shouldn’t have charged for the drinks in my opinion. We told them how disappointing it was as we now didn’t have a chance of getting a meal and frankly he couldn’t have cared less. Simple…..don’t go here, they don’t deserve the business!!

    Tolles Menu mit einer groesser Auswahl glutenfreies Essen. Die glutenfreie Pizza war total lecker. Fantastische Lage am Brandenburger Tor.
