Mama Mia Trattoria Ratings and Reviews
Last minute reservation. Table ready 5 mins ahead of reservation time. Service was attentive without being overbearing.
Food- Minestrone could have been hotter (was still warm but not piping hot). Upside of that was I was able to finish the bowl in record time, as it was delicious.
Veal Parm- Almost too much food. Well cooked, and the sauce was excellent. Very much like old neighborhood restaurants I grew up with in NY. Pasta accompaniment was also good.
Passed on dessert only b/c I was stuffed after soup and main course.
Will definitely visit again.
Great food and great service. The cannoli are to die for. Our party had Osso Bucco (delish), Chicken Parm (huge and also tasty), Chicken Piccata (yum), Fettucini Carbonara (perfecto), house salad, harvest salad, Caprese (all very good, especially the Caprese). Will definitely return.
Overall positive experience. Service was a bit slow but the wait staff forgetting things like balsamic/oil for bread, or drink menus made our dinner plans last way, way longer than normal which was very unideal on a birthday date night. Will visit again, however. Food and atmosphere were fantastic.
My boyfriend and I made reservations here for my birthday dinner. There was no need to make a reservation, however, as the restaurant was only half full on a Saturday night. I like the atmosphere - it has a cozy yet open vibe. The service was not great. Our waitress was inattentive. We had to flag her down to ask for the complimentary bread. She also delivered the wrong dish to our table. At the end of the meal we also had to flag her down to get our check. Overall, a decent place for simple Italian food, but we won't be returning.
Been to the restaurant a few times before. It has been average, but convenient until this last time. The food took nearly an hour to arrive from ordering. They brought out free appetizers twice due to the delay, but we had to rush to make our post dinner event. It was a let down without explanation.
Loved it! Staff was excellent. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. We had fettuccini Alfredo, chicken parm, seafood pasta and minestrone soup. Everything was great. Their in house pastry chef does a great job. We had gelato, lemon gotta, and tiramisu. All wonderful. I especially loved the lemon torts. I would highly recommend this place!
My wife and I needed some good comforting Italian flavors without the "Olive Garden" venue and cardboard food offerings. This restaurant provided an intimate, yet family atmosphere, where taste and quality are king! Parking is VERY HANDY, location is easy to navigate too and from most major hotels. We will return for sure with family and acquiescence.
Good place for a better than average Italian meal. They had a lot of the core options you would expect at an Italian restaurant and they do them well. The service was prompt and the food was properly cooked and seasoned ( I hate when places over salt). They also did a great job with the kids menu. We will definitely be back!
My wife and I took our adult daughter and her boyfriend for dinner after a busy day. I knew I wanted the spaghetti and I was not disappointed, maybe a little too much thyme in the sauce. Great service and the mussel appetizer was plentiful. The rest of our party had the seafood pasta with plenty left to take home for the next day.
My husband and I ate here for his birthday. It was very nicely decorated. Nice enough for a special occasion but comfortable enough to swing by for a date night. The lighting and music were very nice too. The service was the best I've had in a long time. Every person who talked to us/helped us was more than accomidating and plesant. They made my husbands birthday dinner special. And everything we ate was AMAZING. we were looking around at everyone else's food, everything looked sooo good. You could tell by the look and the taste that the ingredients were fresh and of good quality. the proportions were big and well worth the money. We left stuffed and with to go boxes. 10 stars! so pleased :)
I think of this restaurant as an upscale Spaghetti Factory. It's ok, decent enough food.
MUCH better to grab happy hour and eat at the bar. NO they will not serve happy hour if you're not sitting in the little bar area.
Pancetta and mushroom pasta last night was dull and bland. Pesto pasta was swimming in the cream based pesto. Strawberry salad from the specials menu was excellent. Fried broccoli appetizer, good but fairly salty.
Server was great.
We picked this restaurant because it was close to our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised . Good sized portions, for the money. Our waitress was very good. Gave recommendations when asked. Easily able to hear our own conversation.
The only negative we had was that there was an unpleasant aroma as we entered, we almost turned around, but it disappeared as we walked further inside.
Excellent Caesar salad and Chicken Parmesan. Very good meatballs and tomato-basil sauce. The pesto sauce was far too creamy, and an Italian would never prepare it that way. The Veal Parmesan was good. The service was very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to visit again for dinner and to check out Mama Mia's Happy Hour!
