Mama Mia Trattoria Ratings and Reviews
I usually never leave reviews but our experience was exceptionally horrible. Made reservations for Valentine's Day/my date's birthday and the food was bland and flavorless. I've had better sauces out of a great value jar from Walmart. The $19 plate of fettuccine Alfredo was awful and my date’s gnocchi was also pretty bad. Only good thing we had was the waygu meatballs which was $16 for like 3 meatsballs and they made both of us extremely sick to our stomachs after getting home. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY.
My partner and I went here for Valentine’s Day in hopes for a great night out. The atmosphere was decent with nice lighting and decor; however, the service was aweful. The woman waiting on us spilled water all over the table and did not wipe it up even after we mentioned it and our appetizer was cold when it was brought to the table. She also made us feel like we were in the wrong to get butter with our bread when we asked if we could have some ( it was obvious that she forgot to bring it). I don’t know any restaurant that doesn’t serve butter with bread. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The service says a lot about an establishment.
We were sat next to a table with children who let them run wild. This very much impacted our enjoyment of our meal. Also, sitting directly along the path that waiters take to the kitchen, our table moved every time someone walked by as the floor moves slightly.
For the umpteenth time we ate at this great Italian restaurant and this time for lunch. We started with the minestrone soup. My wife ordered their classic lasagna and I ordered the fettuccine bolognese. Both were delicious. The finale was the very tasty connoli.
We dined at 4pm on a Sunday just before a Blazer game. It was empty when we arrived and a few came into the bar area while we dined. I had the salmon, which was a generous portion and prepared perfectly. The rice and salad were not remarkable. My friend enjoyed her seafood pasta.
I love this place. The food is wonderful, though portions are too large for me. Guess that means great leftovers! The service was attentive but not overbearing and the pace of the meal was just perfect - no waiting too long or having things come too fast. Will definitely dine and bring people here again.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here with another couple. The food was excellent, and the waiter was attentive and gave good advice. The time it took to get our order out of the kitchen was exceptionally long, with the waiter coming by at least twice to tell us our order would be out "shortly". There was a large party of 10-12 at another table that may have impacted the kitchen. Overall, we enjoyed the evening and would return.
It seemed that our server didn’t know what was going on. The restaurant wasn’t busy but she still managed to take over 10 min to get our check. Then when I asked for it when she wa a t the table next to us she went to the front desk got or check and tossed it on our table. I did like this restaurant it was very quante but I will never go again.
We had an early dinner after seeing a movie on New Year’s Eve. The lighting is lovely due to beautiful chandeliers. I had chicken Parmesan—beautifully cooked. Our service was prompt in spite of a full house and noise level was okay. We were able to have a nice discussion. Only thought—more vegetarian offerings would be helpful to some family members.
Lively place and excellent food. Portion were decent size and I had some leftovers to take back. I had the lamb pasta special which was amazing. The lamb was soft and tender and the sauce was flavorful. Our waitress wasn’t as friendly at first but warmed up much more a little later into the meal. I would come back to this restaurant again to try some of the other dishes. Great place for Italian seafood dishes.
We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner that fit a set of picky eating kids, a dad with celiacs, and a mom who enjoys a good cocktail. All our needs were met. Our only suggestion would be to lower the music. It was a bit loud for the crowd level and the holiday/family crowd in attendance that evening.
Last minute reservation. Table ready 5 mins ahead of reservation time. Service was attentive without being overbearing.
Food- Minestrone could have been hotter (was still warm but not piping hot). Upside of that was I was able to finish the bowl in record time, as it was delicious.
Veal Parm- Almost too much food. Well cooked, and the sauce was excellent. Very much like old neighborhood restaurants I grew up with in NY. Pasta accompaniment was also good.
Passed on dessert only b/c I was stuffed after soup and main course.
Will definitely visit again.
Great food and great service. The cannoli are to die for. Our party had Osso Bucco (delish), Chicken Parm (huge and also tasty), Chicken Piccata (yum), Fettucini Carbonara (perfecto), house salad, harvest salad, Caprese (all very good, especially the Caprese). Will definitely return.
Overall positive experience. Service was a bit slow but the wait staff forgetting things like balsamic/oil for bread, or drink menus made our dinner plans last way, way longer than normal which was very unideal on a birthday date night. Will visit again, however. Food and atmosphere were fantastic.
My boyfriend and I made reservations here for my birthday dinner. There was no need to make a reservation, however, as the restaurant was only half full on a Saturday night. I like the atmosphere - it has a cozy yet open vibe. The service was not great. Our waitress was inattentive. We had to flag her down to ask for the complimentary bread. She also delivered the wrong dish to our table. At the end of the meal we also had to flag her down to get our check. Overall, a decent place for simple Italian food, but we won't be returning.
