Served with Italian baguette bread. Add on: house garlic bread $1
Everything was fantastic. Love this restaurant, environment and friendly staff.
Our server Adam was top-notch. Helped us do a great desert presentation for a birthday.
The food at Mama-Mia is fairly average for the high price. My guess is that they have a very good cook, and very bad ingredients. Does the most with what they've got.
Still, nothing was bad at all, and the house wine was a very good value. The service alone will probably lead us to go back.
Always fantastic! Even in these different times this restaurant has made the best of a less than desirable situation. Awesome!
Great food and love the Italian ambiance. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend the cioppino.
Very thankful they continue to serve during COVID and recent rioting, but the actual taste of the food was nothing to write home about. The Alfredo sauce and pesto pastas had no discernible flavor. Probably working through a lot at the moment, but definitely stood out as uninspiring and quite pricey for the experience relative to the food quality. Step up Mama, you can do better! Great location, let’s keep supporting local businesses
This was my fiancé and my first experience dining out during the pandemic and it went very well. The QR menu was very easy and convenient. The high ceilings and spread out tables made the indoor experience feel safe, and yet the warm atmosphere was not sacrificed. Our server was very kind and helpful as well. All the food was perfectly prepared and cooked. I highly recommend Mama Mia and will return as possible.
Charming all the way around. Service was courteous and fast. The sauces were well constructed.
A little odd with so few tables...understand its required for COVID.
We love this place friendly staff good food good 🍸🍷🍹💞love love love
Our waiter, Nick, gave great advice, which we took. Everything was fantastic. We shared the calamari, my wife had the house salad and a Margarita pizza. I had the cioppino. All was accompanied by fresh bread and the usual vinegar and oil dip, except it was better than usual. Nick said that they reduce the vinegar about 25%. Great punch. The house Chianti was nice and round, as I like it. Nice dinner. Thank you!
Indoor dining but we felt very safe. The food and service was excellent, try the tiramisu, it's AMAZING!
They were open, they seemed happy to see us and the wine was delightful. Large portions, fresh tomatoes, exceptional service. If you're downtown and jonesing for Italian, Mamma Mia will hook you up.
We had veal parm., Caesar salad, side of pasta and garlic bread. house red cab. and bourbon and soda. All were very very good and we did not need an extra entree. We had a well-spaced table by the window. there were few diners and our server was attentive and gracious. The decor is a bit dour, esp. with few diners but I would certainly return. Not too pricey.
We had such a great time! The service was amazing, one of the best dinners I've had. Cocktails? Great! The food? Awesome! The pesto pasta and veal parmesan were both cooked perfectly and delicious. I will definitely be back here next time I'm in Portland, and will recommend to all of my friends. Thanks again, Nick, for an amazing experience as our server!
The food was good, but not worth the price. The wine selection was very good.
We went for Portland dining month and both my app and entree were delicious. Dessert was a little underwhelming but overall good experience and our waitress was very attentive and nice!
Last year four of us deemed our meals excellent. We three ordered from the Portland Dining Month offerings.
This year two ordered from the Portland Dining Month menu. The bruschetta was average. The problem with the cannelloni was salt - way too much in both the cream and tomato sauces. For me it was inedible. A second serving wasn't any better since the sauces were likely from the same batch. My husband also tasted it, so it wasn't just me. The strawberry chocolate cake was good.
While my dinner companions did finish their meals, they also said the salt levels were high.
Service, on the other hand, was excellent from the moment we walked into the restaurant. And though I did not ask for it, my meal was removed from the bill.
I am saddened that I can't give this visit a better rating.
Food was terrific, service was professional without hovering, manager recommended wines and was spot on with his choices! Thanks, Jeff. We made another reservation before we had even finished out meal.
The atmosphere was great. Service was great. This place had the best red sauce I’ve ever had on the cannelloni. You will never find a cheesecake better than the one at this restaurant and I have spent my holidays for the last 6 years perfecting multiple cheesecake recipes. It hurts to say this one puts mine to shame. Eat here!
Great space for business meal. Server extraordinarily accommodating and patient with our large group with multiple checks. Great find in Portland with lots of options on the menu for all types of diets.
The food was too salty. Every meal felt heavy and over sauced.
Great food and friendly staff This is our 3 time eating their from out of state. We will be going back for a 4 th time next time in town
Scrumptious food, great service, ample parking!
Average Italian food (
Awesome. Great food.
Very enjoyable meal and great service! I would highly recommend!!
We had a lasagne & a pizza & garlic bread, 2 glasses of wine & the check came to over $90! The food was ok, but just ok. The service was very good.
Food was outstanding, just great Italian, not the latest Portland "super cool"
Pastas were very good; sadly the service by our particular server was not. We’ve been several times to Mama Mia’s and service is rarely great.
The service was wonderful! Free birthday dessert and a free appetizer for booking with open table!
Been to Italy many ties and Mama Mia takes me back there. Great food and wine with reasonable prices. Will be back!
Fantastic food and service. Will come back
Free appetizer was featured but we didn’t receive one. Server was efficient but not particularly friendly. It was a birthday celebration. We likely won’t return for a family celebration in the future.
The restaurant was fire! The service was great and the food was so delicious! Will definitely be back fo sho! Keep that place lit 🤙🏽
First time to dine and very happy with the service and food
The food was great. Took a little while to get, because it was busy. Service was great.
It was simple and easily predictable. The service is outstanding and fast! The food is good but not great, it could use a bit more flavor but instead it was just "eh.fine". I would definitely come back for the happy hour and that's about it.
When we were seated at our table we were informed that we could only be there for an hour and a half because the table was reserved for later. We also had made reservations and my thought was do our reservations not matter? We did not like that we were pressured to dine quickly when we had made our reservations in advanced. Not good customer service.
Great food, friendly staff and excellent drinks. We will return.
We were told we had the table reserved for 1.5 hours when we were seated. That wasn’t necessary and very rude. The lamb shank wasn’t tender and the risotto was chewy.
