Excellent food and service. My go to place for steak!!
Great lunch st the bar, thank you Vinny
The menu is fabulous. More options than a typical steak house. Food and service were very good. The atmosphere was relaxed elegant. A must try!
Very comfy place with great food and service. Good value for the money.
Food, service, wine list, cocktails, ambiance -- all superb! Could use better signage on restrooms.
Really good spot for midtown lunch - business lunch in particular. Service was very professional and attentive. Food was excellent.
Lots of fun, great fun, and super nice wait staff!
Food was great but WAY overpriced , my wife and I have eaten at other steakhouses that are just as good if not better for much better prices
Went here when Smith and Wollensky closed due to fire. Liked it better than S and W - understand same owner. But steaks better best ever had. Came back a month later for anniversary. Scallops great, oysters great same for steaks. New favorite NYC steakhouse.
Top quality steaks, excellent service and great value for money.
Excellent food. Seafood and beef both were delicious. Would recommend and would return for the branzino!
Thank you for making our time there so special. Highly recommended.
Staff very attentive, food outstanding. Overall good value for money and great atmosphere.
FANTASTIC!!! The Wine and Dine Special is well worth the money. Keep this special!!!
Food is excellent, service is nice, typical american restaurant
Had a great Holiday dinner with family. Shrimp cocktail a must have!
Once again, we had a great lunch at Maloney & Porcelli.
If we had one criticism, that is the size of the steaks... the only Sirloin is a 26oz.
There is no need for any human being to eat 26oz of beef in one meal... please, please off smaller cuts of the same steaks, anything larger than 16oz is just gluttony.
Disappointed that the wine dinner offer was not available on Christmas Day - waiter said something about the kitchen closing at 8pm but we weren't seated until after then as the reason. The steaks were good but the appetisers were not so good. Given that the wine offer was not available the check was substantially higher than anticipated and not one which we would regard as value for money. The atmosphere was marred by two very drunk tables in close proximity to ours who decided to start arguing and singing. Would probably not return.
Family chose Maloney & Porcelli for Christmas Day dinner. Very cool atmosphere, smelt delicious when we walked in. We had a reservation for 7:30 pm but we’re 45 minutes early and they were able to seat us within 15 minutes! The food was very good, but the service a bit slow, but would definitely recommend!
The Grapefruit Martinis were fabulous and the salted rim with grapefruit infused salt was a nice touch. The Pizza appetizer was as good as any Italian Pizzeria and the Tater Tots are a must try.
Dined upstairs where the overall temperature of the room was so hot that I had to step outside for fresh air.
We also went with the wine dinner which came with dessert, when asked if we can exchange dessert for a cup of coffee, we were denied the exchange. We were surprised because the cup of coffee is a lot cheaper than the dessert!
Second time here, second time disappointed, the service is not up to par. Over an hour we saw three different waiters 3 times in total (order, food, bill). Food is good, but my entire family that ate there (7 people) came down with a stomach bug the next morning... seems to coincidentally. I have been to other “quality” restaurants quite a few times, I will be skipping this one going forward.
Better than your popular steak house.
Very good food and service. When we asked for our coats they couldn’t find them and tried to literally dig them up from the stair closet. The coat check person said someone came in to rearrange the coats.
We did not appreciate this at all.
Not a good coat system here. DO NOT check your coat in this place.
First visit here; brought out of town guest who gasped at the prices, but prices are standard for the top NYC steakhouses. Started with house salad, definitely large enough to split between two people or even three. Then had the porterhouse for two (which also feeds three quite comfortably). Porterhouse was terrific. Beautifully, perfectly cooked. And, most unusually, was served with two giant bones which obviously were not part of the porterhouse cut, but contained marrow for those who appreciate that delicacy. that was an extra that I have not encountered anywhere else that I have ordered porterhouse. Sides were good -- we ordered tater tots (unusual) and string beans almondine. Truly was an enjoyable meal. Look forward to returning.
Terrible service- they must have forgotten about us- no offer to refill drinks- never checked on us after our food was dropped- we had to ask for a check 30 minutes after done
So loud. Just awful
Love this restaurant. My only complaint is about the bench seats. I believe they have never been remodeled so they have lost all their cushion.
Food and service, among the best.
Everything was delicious and enjoyable!
The food was good but service was just ok. We felt hurried and there was absolutely no interaction. Was not asked how are food was and when asked if we wanted a cocktail or wine and was said no our server appeared to be put out!!!! He continued to ask over and over do you want a drink! Not pleased at all! Then he brought our bill and came back every 30 seconds to see if Bill was ready. Bottom line, food was good service was not and extremely noisy
I had been to M service took forever. The experience was overall disappointing.
Exceptional service to support fantastic food!
Only one thing disappointed us: No prime rib (roast beef). The prime rib I got was a steak, which was good, but not prime rib like Smith and Wollensky's. You should add prime rib to the menu.
Seated at s table for 8 or 10 back at the kitchen snd service bar. We were a party of 6. Felt neglected by our server after he took our order. Never saw him again. Had to ask for our check. Ordered an appetizer that was supposed to have olives. There were no olives. Ordered an order of fries that we never got until we called over another server. Very disappointing. Been there server almost times before and now will never go back,
I’ve dined at Maloney & Porcelli many times over the years. The food was good and the service was on point.
This time at the restaurant it wasn’t as pleasant because of the incredibly loud noise made it difficult to carry a conversation. There were two large parties of 12+ each in the vicinity.
I was disappointed with our table as it was in a high traffic zone for the servers who were constantly rushing by and hitting our chairs.
Overall the loud environment made an expensive steak dinner, one we wished we had gone someplace else for a better experience with a less hectic environment.
great dinner, tuna was great,
steak was perfect
Great wine at bar wine with NYC best bartender Vinny
Food is always good here. Primarily a steak house but have fish on menu as well. Waitress was excellent we had our grandson with us and she was very accommodating. Not a kid friendly restaurant but we made the best of it since we went in to see the Tree. He was very well behaved but not many choices for food for him. He is only 3 and I think they need to have a couple of things on their menu for children just in case. It is a very pricy restaurant but then again your in NYC so everything there is pricey. All and all a good choice close to tree and good food.
First visit for me. Delicious and fabulous service ! Will be back again!
