The first time i went to this restaurant (about 3 years ago) I had a great experience. However, after this last time, I would not go back. The waiter/chef cooked my steak medium-well; I had ordered it medium rare (even though I placed an emphasis on the word rare when I said it). The waiter took the steak back but when the second one came out, it was as if the chef threw a frozen steak on the stove for 2-3 min on each side and sent it out.. It was barely edible. I understand that you're not supposed to send food back, but when you're paying $64 for the entre you should receive the meal the way in which you asked. This ruined the overall experience for me which is why I will not be returning a third time.

Nice place to have a business meeting.
The service was excellent. Terry our waiter did an outstanding job. Very friendly & helpful in making our choices. However, one steak was cooked too rare and one too well. It was corrected but came out wrong from the get go and for these prices it shouldn’t have. Overall a nice experience!
The restaurant was empty but we were first seated in a booth that had a large hole in the seat and were then moved to a table in front of the exit. The hostess was awful, the rest of the wait staff was adequate but made both of us feel like we had been let out of the home for the evening. My salmon was ok but my husband’s steak was very full of fat. We didn’t bother to stay for dessert. I wonder if we were treated like this because we booked through Open Table

I have been to this location in the past and the food was better. The steak was VERY rare (we ordered medium/rare.) We didn't send it back because usually the plates are usually very hot so the meat continues to cook. This time, it didn't. My friend was fine and I really didn't want to complain because it was for my friends birthday. We also wanted the steak sliced and it was - but the pieces were very think. Maybe that is another reason it didn't continue to cook on the hot plate. The service was great and the wine was good. The creme brulee was amazing, very different and I would recommend that for sure! Big enough for 2 people to split.
Isaac was wonderful, especially his insight to Hamilton and some theater tips for Richard Rodgers. Gareth our bartender host was warm and friendly.

I love this restaurant and always try to visit whenever I’m in New York. Their wine dinner is one of the best kept secrets in the city. I hosted a party of 12 there this past visit, and we couldn’t have been happier. The service is so great every time. I really appreciate the hard work everyone puts in to make each experience memorable.
I was there to celebrate my birthday and Garrett helped kick off the evening with one of the best made Old Fashioneds I’ve ever had. Great team, amazing experience, might be my new favorite steakhouse in NYC! Mic drop

Maloney and Porcelli never lets you down! Excellent food, service and ambiance. One of my favorite New York Steak Houses. Known for their Salty Dog Cocktail............enjoy.

One of the best steaks I have had in a very long time. Our server Miguel was attentive and helpful. After much searching, he was able to locate a bottle of creme de menthe so that i could have a parfait. We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing dinner. The mid week wine night is the best value in town
Put party of 5 at a table for 8-10 in an alcove next to a large group. Wait staff completely focused on large group and not us. Terrible experience and don't plan to be back. Unfortunate as it's near a client's office and we always found it convenient.

For a steak house, it's very weird that their Porter house steak isn't the best thing in the menu. Their pork shank is the star on the menu.
Wonderful experience! Had drinks at the bar then dinner, everyone was so pleasant and attentive. Made our weekend inNYC memorable!

That night at there was ok, just ok, I was not happy about the noise around the table
We stopped in earlier to confirm reservation and request seating upstairs which they said was no problem but when we got there they acted like I had never requested that and then they could not accommodate without offering anything to us
The steak was phenomenal! Cooked perfectly and the potatoes with Gorgonzola were an excellent addition. I went for lunch during wine week, and the noise level was quiet excessive with all the midtown business diners, but the service was wonderful, we were not rushed, and the food was all exceptional from our burrata to creme brûlée!
Food did not come out for an hour. And when we reminded them they rushed to kitchen and brought it. It was cold. It was a client lunch and not a great experience.
The food is mediocre at best. The table was up a huge staircase. The restroom was in the basement so we didn’t use it. My 86 year old stepmother missed a step coming back downstairs to leave as there is not a railing to hold onto for the last few steps. Is this a code issue with the city?
My wife and I went to Maloney and Porcelli about 5 years ago and had the wine dinner, with unlimited wine and Prosseco. We thought it was wonderful and we have recommended it to a number of people. We went again this time and had the wine dinner again and were quite disappointed. It's a really lovely place, with great ambience, but this time the whole experience was very rushed and we felt this was to limit how much wine we would drink. The starter arrived very quickly and the main was put on the table while we were having the last mouthful of the starter. There should have been at least a 15 minute gap and the result was we felt full and couldn't eat much of the main (we did take the leftovers with us and enjoyed it the next day). The steaks were lovely and huge, but on this occasion they almost appeared burnt on the outside and my wife's steak wasn't rare as requested. It did taste lovely and was a great portion, but it wasn't as good as the first time we went. The starter were lovely though and so was dessert.
Disappointing. The food was good but we ordered the Wellington Rossini medium and came to us rare. We sent it back to be heated more and they forgot about us. It took another 10 minutes or so and we had to ask several waiters for it! This is too upscale a restaurant for that kind of service.
The chicken I had was a bit too dry for me. However the place is still very nice.
