Great service and food
Food was awesone and great service
Daughters orientation at U.K. undergraduate
We always go to Malones when we travel thru the Lexington area. Actually, this is one of my top 10 restaurants anywhere. The steaks are excellent. The Lexington salad is a favorite and the bourbon cocktails are the best. If you are staying in this area, I recommend you dine at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
Based on our last experience, I would not return to Malone’s Hamburg.
Our service was slow, food lukewarm when served. The tables around us had similar issues, 3 tables asked for a manager, when he arrived, he was less than hospitable, made faces and mumbled what sounded like choice words as he walked away from the table only to be called back to the table next to us. He said it’s Father’s Day, we are busy, the cooks are overwhelmed. No apology, no sincerity... I felt like we should have not dined there because it was Father’s Day.
Out waiter, Boyd, was outstanding!
We absolutely love the food at Malone's! My husband claims they have the best steaks on the planet! The bottomless salad is very good and their lobster mac & cheese is amazing!
Great food and service as always.
I was told that my reservation did not reserve a "table" and was offered to squeeze 6 men into a booth or be seated in the bar area. I entertain customers and staff often and average spending $2,500 - $3,000 a month at this restaurant but the past few experiences i have had are making me reconsider where i entertain. I had a bad experience last month at the Palamar location.
I came here for my high school graduation dinner and the staff was so kind and caring!
Food was fantastic! Service was wonderful! Great girls night out?
Normally, if we splurge for Malone's, it's for the steak, but we were on a bit of a budget for this particular early Sunday dinner. We were celebrating our daughter's great grades, and she chose Malone's. She loves Malone's Fried Chicken, which is their amazing version of chicken tenderloins. She also loves the Lexingtonian Salad that comes with your meal, as do my wife and I. So that's where we we went. I got Malone's Burger done medium. It has bacon and cheese, tomato, lettuce, and red onion. Comes with mayo and mustard on the side, but I had to request ketchup, and not sure if that's normal or not. They brought it out quickly. My wife had the Fish and Chips. She raved about them. My daughter had the whipped potatoes with her chicken, and I had the 1 pound baked potato with my burger. Everything was perfect. Exceptional taste, amazing, prompt service. Bottomless salad and bread, fresh from the oven and warm, with a garlic butter that I crave. I have had their steaks many times in the past and never been disappointed. Also had a trout special a month or so ago that was delicious. No, it's not the cheapest place around, but you pay for quality and service, and it's quite reasonable in my opinion. One of my very favorite restaurants in Lexington.
Great place, with a lot of class! Spectacular steak!
This is my third time visiting this Malone's location with my family. It was a busy Saturday night so noise can be expected. However, the way that tables are situated in the middle of two rows of booths made it very difficult to hear. The staff was very attentive, bordering on making us feel rushed to eat and leave. Overall, the food was very good, but considering the price, it should have been a more relaxing dinner.
Due to the price for 4 people to eat here ($200, with dessert & tip, no app), we only come for special occasions. It has been my favorite birthday spot for years. The service is always impeccable. The flavors this time, however, were shockingly mediocre. The Lexingtonian salad is usually Amazing. This time, it seemed like chopped lettuce in lots of ranch dressing. The steak, while level of doneness was perfection, was unremarkable flavor-wise & a little gristly for a 6oz piece. They’re really going to have to return to excellence for me to choose them over a churrascaria (same price, better variety) or even Outback (cheaper, equal quality, currently) next time.
Late Mother’s Day dinner for mother in law
Service fantastic. Food phenomenal.
Our server Malory was outstanding! It’s always an awesome place to eat
Food and service were excellent in every aspect. A wonderful dining experience enjoyed by all.
We went there, Friday May 24th, had a reservation at 8pm. The server has been working there for 6 months, which is fine as long as he did a good job. But he was not good, I ordered the sushi platter, I asked/told him that comes with miso soup. He said NO, I told him I dined here and ordered the sushi platter so many times. So when he brought the sushi, I pointed out to him it said on the menu that comes with miso soup. We asked for 2nd round Lexingtonian salad, he didn't bring it. He charged us sweet tea which we didn't order. It was just awful, it was the 4 of us. That was the first time we didn't get good service. We should've just sat at the patio, probably got better service than sitting at Malone's.
This was my last time eating at Malone's. My daughter will be moving to Nashville and I do not think they have a Malone's. My daughter has lived in Lexington for four years and every time we visit we make a special trip to Malone's. In those 4 years we have visited Malone's around 15 times. We will miss the food, the people and the overall atmosphere. The last time we visited (May 25, 2019), we excellent service, great food and the server and his assistant were great. Very friendly, very aware of our needs before we said anything to them. I will miss you Malone's for all of the above reasons. Thank you for letting me dine at your restaurant these past four years.
We love this Malone’s ! For us it is a destination restaurant that we plan our transits from Texas to Vermont around. We had the Atlantic Salmon one day and the White Fish the next. The sides are plentiful and very good - asparagus, broccoli, baked Idaho potatoes, etc. the Fried lobster appetizer is also delicious. This is truly a landmark restaurant
My 50th Birthday
Great as usual. When the waiter asked my husband if this was our 1st dining experience at Malone's, he replied, "No, that's why we are back!" Repeat customer here for the billionth time
Everything was good. I ordered the Reuben with a blackened Maui- very good. The fish was a little dry and it came out on Texas toast vs. the standard rye bread as listed on the menu.
The wife had a big burger and we split the steak soup. All was very good and will be back, just a minor hiccup on the bread.
Sub par service this one time but normally it’s great. It wasn’t a big deal he was without his helper and too busy. My steak was blue rare instead of medium rare. But whatever. Will be back
Always love whatever I order. The quality of food is good and the service is also good.
Our waiter was phenomenal -- very articulate and knew the menu inside and out; the food was superb and timely; and the atmosphere as a whole was very relaxed and pleasant. Loved Malone's!
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. All staff were very friendly. Our waiter and helper were very attentive to our needs. Enjoyed our night out.
We have dined at Malone's over the years on special occasions and have always had a wonderful meal. This time was our 39th wedding anniversary and the experience was horrendous. Starting with the service, it was slow and our waiter seemed to care more for the large group ordering from Harry's than us ordering from Malone's. My salad, the blue cheese, walnut and apple, had very little dressing, and barely any cheese, no sugared walnuts or apple and the lettuce was old. My entree was a medium rare 4.5 oz. filet with crab leg. The filet looked like a rounded blob and was overcooked. The crab leg did not have slices to extract the meat. The manager assured me that it was the correct size and cooked properly. He offered to replace my meal but by the time he came to our table my husband was nearly finished with his and we did not want to stay any longer than necessary and paid the bill in full. This experience was not up to Malone's standards, but maybe the standard has changed. We will not recommend or return.
Our waiter, Ken, was excellent. He steered us in the right direction at every turn of the menu and made us feel a guest.
Perfect! Great service and the food was outstanding. It will definitely be the place for me and my wife to visit when in the Lexington area.
Excellent food and service. Low noise and great value for the price.
Celebrated Mother’s Day. Service and food was excellent.
Mother’s Day celebration. Was not outstanding but restaurant was very busy. Had to ask for salad, water. Plates were not removed when finished so table was crowded during dessert. Very unusual for this restaurant.
had a wonderful meal! celebrated Mother's Day and it was wonderful
This was my third experience dining at Malone's in Hamburg. And yet again, another home run! Having an existing reservation drastically cut down on the wait time. The food was perfect ... the customer service is unmatched in Lexington. Our server was Dakota, and he was amazing! He is a true asset to the Malone's team. We told him such, and he mentioned he'd only been a server for about 2 weeks (a servers assistant prior to that) -- we were in shock -- we figured he was an old pro, doing this for quite a while. Can't say enough great things about him. Ask for Dakota! Also very happy with the food portions and quality. The steaks were cooked perfectly - which is a peeve of mine when I go to restaurants. The food was very flavorful and the alcoholic drink very strong. Yes, the restaurant is a little pricey, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. And I paid for a wonderful dining experience; one I can't wait to revisit again soon.
Arrival wait time for reservation tend to be longer than expected. Other than that no complaints.
