Excellent food, excellent service
Fantastic dinner! Great service! Just an overall wonderful experience.
It was fantastic. Will definitely return.
As usual Mallorca was great- food, atmosphere and we had a great time
Excellent service and fantastic food! Overall outstanding.
The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the sopa de ajo and the grilled octopus, definitely some of the best I've ever eaten.
Incredible. Good does not even begin to describe our experience. The service was impeccable, the waiters and staff were fun and attentive. There were 3 in our party. For a starter we shared an order of Piquillos Rellenos which are peppers stuffed with pine nuts, raisins and spinach. Absolutely unique and delicious. Our guest had the whole Bronzino in a garlic and olive oil sauce which was excellent. My wife had Chilean Sea Bass which was beautiful and a great sized portion. I had the best Osso Bucco that I have ever tasted. The salad and side dishes were great although we had a hard time getting to them. After dinner they brought a wonderful almond liquor which was on the house. I have been to Mallorca countless times since they first opened. It remains the best restaurant I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy.
We drove from 2 hours south of Pittsburgh to have our 48th wedding anniversary dinner at Mallorca and we were not disappointed. We would definitely go there again and certainly recommend to friends. It was an outstanding meal.
Moved away from Pgh but returned for a weekend. Had to visit our favorite restaurant Mallorca. It didnt
disappoint. The Sangria was delicious as usual. The duck with blood orange sauce was crispy but not dry. The sauce was outstanding. All the dishes were yummy. Portion sizes were big enough to savor the leftovers the next day. The ice cold shot of Portugese amaretto was a delightful end to the meal. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Still one of our favorite dining spots .
Wonderful meal at Mallorca, lovely, bright restaurant, with a warm-hearted team. We had a wonderful dinner, forgot we were in Pittsburgh...
As always, the food was excellent! Great quality & quantity. The service is always outstanding. The restaurant is not inexpensive, but the value is fine. Great food, service & ambiance at a moderate price.
Absolutely love this restaurant! My family is from Mallorca and Cuba and this was like a taste of home. Loved the decor and the general feel of the restaurant. It was just perfect and I definitely plan to come back. (Also, the goat is INCREDIBLE and I highly recommend it to anyone).
Went with friends during restaurant week, our friends had never been there, but had always wanted to go. We ordered off the restaurant week menu, which offered a nice variety of items, and as is the norm here, the portions were HUGE. Not sure exactly how big my Delmonico steak was, but it was at least 16 ounces, if not more! Can't say enough about the food and the waitstaff. Both were absolutely outstanding, it was the perfect end to the week, and the weather even cooperated for dining outside. I highly recommend a trip to Mallorca.
I enjoyed my dinner experience at Mallorca. I will definitely go there again.
Went during restaurant week, such a great selection of food!
Food was good, large portions, it was a nice evening out.
We went to the Mallorca four years ago for our 50th anniversary. We each ordered paella. It was wonderful, but the waiter should have told us that one order was more than enough for two people.
We went again a week ago for or anniversary. It was during Pittsburgh Restaurant Week. We got the Paella Diablo, which was a cheap version of Palla Valenciana, the most common form of paella. It had some shrimp and white chicken meat and some hot chilies. Everything had been cooked separately and dumped into a paella pan. They loaded the table with salad, plain steamed vegetables, and bread. We got a lot of food, but it wasn’t worth the price.
All meals were great. The Delmonico Steak could've been a better cut of meat.
This was our 31st anniversary. This may not be the best or newest restaurant in Pittsburgh but it certainly has the BEST service. Great experience!
My husband and I enjoy eating at Mallorca. You get a lot of food for your money and it’s an even better value during Pittsburgh restaurant week. They have a very eclectic menu ranging from goat to paella. The place has atmosphere. The wait staff have personalities that make it fun to be there.
We arrived and the old school look was very pleasing and the welcome was refreshing. There was plenty of wait staff that were phenomenal at their jobs. You never had a dirty plate sitting in front of you nor an empty drink. Attention to service was exceptional. Our waiter was outstanding in both his welcoming to our party and the recitation of the specials and menu items from memory. The food was mediocre.
The pitcher of Sangria we had was weak with a lot of added sugar I suspect.
The salad was fresh and the house dressing was good but the amount of dressing should be decreased. Not a major dtractor.
The Camarones al ajillo which I have enjoyed elsewhere for years were not memorable. They were small warmed up shrimp not grilled and served in a dish with oil and garlic. No roasted pepper and the garlic was jarred and not fresh.
The Paella Diablo was flavorless. The rice needed something even just a pinch of salt. No flavor. The chicken was overcooked, hard, and had no seasoning. The shrimp were the same from the appetizer. Small and not seasoned. The chorizo tasted ok and would have been better if not overcooked. When I ordered I asked that it be made more "Diablo". I I was assured that it would be and that there is also some extra peppers in there I can cut up to make it spicier. There was one half jalapeno, one Chipotle, and some bell pepper. There is no spiciness or heat to it so I asked for something to spice it up. They recommended Tabasco or crushed red pepper flakes. If I was having a taco or a slice of pizza I would have agreed but this was supposed to be an authentic Portuguese restaurant.
This place has everything going for it except for the food. If they were to spruce up their preparation and ingredients I would be willing to try again but not until I've seen reviews to support this.
Fantastic Food! Fantastic Service!
Wonderful dining experience. Ate Lunch during the start of Restaurant week. Entrée complete with salad, app, veggies and rice and desert. Great valve. Service and staff were wonderful. Second time dining at restaurant. A must go place for Spanish-Portuguese food.
Always outstanding food and service. Additionally you will always have to go bag of servings are unbelievably large. Great atmosphere that reminds you of a high-end New York City restaurant.
Love sitting at the bar with Jay. We enjoy meeting new people and the bar seating never disappoints. We ordered three small plates and each one was delicious.
Birthday dinner for my husband. Mallorca is a wonderful place to go for special occasions! The owner is so much fun and the atmosphere is authentic. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We had a table of nine for a great celebration. The food and service were outstanding.
Our meal was delicious. I had the sole with shrimp n crabmeat. The presentation was beautiful. My partner had the goat n the portion was huge. It can with a dress salad, home made child, medley of steam vegetables n rice. We had leftovers from this meal the next day as our lunch.
Great food. Huge servings. Great service
Very nice and authentic.
We love to come there for lobster. Portions are very good and service is exceptional. Little pricey for your average Joe. But, we love it!
I brought my boyfriend who is originally from Colombia but lives in Connecticut visiting me here, and he felt right at home. The service and food was amazing.
Food is always outstanding but sitting outside can be a little noisy and the ambiance is a bit outdated. Still live the restaurant and will always cone back.
Loved the food and fresh bread. The waiters were very nice and helpful. I will be there again soon.
Seafood was not high quality. Grilled Vegetables were served cold And the Spanish rice was mediocre.
Not what we expected it hoped for.
What an amazing meal! Comfortable, pleasant service. A memorable evening. Lamb and lobster were delicious.
We ate a late lunch & had the place almost to ourselves. The gazpacho was the best we have ever had stateside. We ordered the pulpo a la plancha and it was delicious. For our main dish, we ordered the seafood paella off the dinner menu. It was good but they used regular rice instead of arroz bomba and I prefer my paella to have socarrat on the bottom of the paella pan. The seafood in it was delicious. The waitstaff was very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant but perhaps to order more tapas.
Big portions and attentive staff, but a big overpriced. Wasn’t the level of fine dining that I was expecting but overall was fine.
The food was amazing! The service was even better. Thanks Henry for making us feel welcome! The only thing that wasn't as pleasant was the outdated decor, small table for all those huge plates and not so comfortable chairs. All in all Bravo! We'll be back :)
The servers were professional and very attentive. They were very knowledgeable and helpful with menu suggestions. There were 7 people in our party and all agreed the food was delicious, and not the usual fare---the octopus appetizer was yummy and the sangria was full of fruit, refreshing and perfect on a warm summer day!
