My wife had a lobster mac & cheese, which was excellent. I had the Bara Mundi, and it was also excellent and prepared perfectly. we started with a nice shared salad and drinks. Service was quick, although we started eating shortly after 530 before most of the crowd arrived. This has become our go to casual spot and we have always had a great meal.

Food was delicious! We tried this place for the first time, trusting the reviews from here and they were right. Apps were good, we had the coconut shrimp and crab cakes. The sauce with the coconut shrimp was weird but they didn’t need sauce. The Wild Mushroom Papperadelle was amazing! I’d order it every time. Everyone cleaned their plates in our party. Zero issues and great service. It’s an open concept type restaurant so it can get noisy but you can still have a conversation at your table

We always enjoy Mallard's and this time was no different. We went to lunch and had the Jambalaya and fish and chips, both very good. The service was good; our server was pleasant and efficient. We also had a $10.00 dollar off coupon, that was a plus! We had requested a booth and had our choice of which we wanted. The only issue I had was that it was a bit too cool for our liking.

My family of 6 had a reservation for Brunch on a Sunday. We were seated promptly but had to ask host for children's menus and crayons for the "littles." Server was very pleasant and patient with my children who like to ask a lot of questions. Bottomless Mimosas and food was excellent! Looking forward to returning!

We went to mallards to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Atmosphere was quiet on a Monday night. We had a cozy booth. Server was friendly and accurate. Two of the 5 of us have celiac and needed gluten free entrees. Mallards had several great options! We all enjoyed our meals. The server gave my husband a complimentary dessert for his birthday. It was a fun night!

Mallards has an interesting menu full of great dishes. I had jambalaya which was delicious. It’s a very generous portion. My friend had the soup of the day ( lobster bisque) and the chicken salad sandwich with dried cranberries in it. Loved it. Was so impressed that he took a Thai salad to go (all dressings and toppings put in separate containers by the server/kitchen) and the bread of the day. We will go back for sure.

We had excellent service and the food was delicious. I had asked for a booth in the quieter area of the dining room and that is what we got. We stayed and visited for quite awhile after eating and were not rushed out. I had a$10.00 off coupon and used that so the meals were an even better value! Two diners had the fish and chips, one had the crabcakes and I had the turkey club. Everything was so very good.

I highly recommend this restaurant as the vibe was superb! The dishes were amazing, and the service was fantastic. Huge compliments to the chef, as we all enjoyed your creative, delicious cuisine by taking bites from each other’s plates. A special thanks to our attentive server, Sve. I’ve driven by this place for years, and never saw it. Great selections on the menu. Servings are generous. They have Key Lime Pie for dessert, but we were too full! We’ll be back.

Mallards is our secret new find. We stumbled upon it and found it at the end of a strip mall and were hesitant because from the front at a certain angle you think there is no way there is a big restaurant in there. And almost Tardis like, it’s bigger on the inside with a really nice inviting esthetic. It has a great modern nautical feel to the place that reminds me of a restaurant you would find on the Seattle coastline. We have gone only two times since finding this hidden gem but we know we will go back. The food is seasoned amazingly. My husband and I have tried their lobster roll, veggie fries, Mallard’s Melt, and everything was fantastic. I have lived and been to many states in my life and I grew up in a family of foodies. And I am married to a foodie and an amazing cook who takes pride in pushing his culinary limits. I have always wished south of the cities had better good seafood options without breaking the bank by having to go op to a place like Oceannaire. And as food snobby as this may sound, if I want to go out for a nice priced but not $$$$ restaurant, and you want food that is way more elevated than a chain restaurant that get pushed upon us, Mallards is it. I feel like I should be paying a lot more for the food I get at Mallards. It’s that good. And as for the service, both times, we had amazing servers. Very attentive. I asked about a jam for the bread to make sure if it didn’t have strawberries (for I am allergic) and she was on top of it. The owner or manager has visited by our table both times as he makes his rounds. You feel a sense of pride in their establishment. Which I wish more places had.

The noise level makes conversation difficult. The acoustics remind me of a grade school gymnasium where sound just bounces around without being absorbed by the ceiling or walls. My friend and I had a hard time carrying on a conversation without talking louder than normal.If not for the food I think I would consider crossing Mallard’s off our list of places to eat.

The waitress had a difficult time getting the correct drinks. The manager came over and explained that the bartender did not understand what was ordered which was very much appreciated and we were finally giving the right drinks on the third try. (made and delivered by the manager)We did comment that we were very impressed that the general manager would take the time to explain and correct the situation. We will visit Mallards again because of the special attention we received. Thank you, Judy
