Maria was very friendly and helpful. She suggested the
Mac and cheese which was really awesome.
We totally enjoyed our supper at the wilderness kitchen, we shared the sampler platter and it was fantastic! The server Maria was excellent and treated us very well, and cheers to the chef for a fabulous supper!
Spectacular food in a spectacular setting. Best meal in Jasper and we spent a lot on food during our stay. We were out on the deck with a great view of the river. We’ll definitely be back!
Food smokers made the food taste off and not fresh. Ribs tasted like they were old from the shared platter. Everything else was good (Atmosphere, noise level, social distancing) but food is most important in a restaurant and would not recommend to anyone
Celebrated my birthday there. Was given a piece of apple pie and ice cream as a gift . Delicious!
Great staff, very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating!! Amazing scenery - just beautiful and not to forget the food, delicious!! Had the platter, you can't go wrong. Looking forward to returning my next visit to Jasper. Highly recommend.
It’s our wedding anniversary. They give us a free complimentary wine. The food is good and affordable and close to Maligne Canyon trail. Will definitely go back when we go to Jasper Alberta.
Beautiful location next to Maligne Canyon. The food and service was excellent. We got the platter for 2 of different items from the menu. I would highly recommend it.
Great location, awesome and accommodating stuff/ personnel (if you want a table next to a window make sure you call them and reserve it).
Food was good in general. Brisket (16hrs) was somewhat dry; homemade bbq sauce was okay, not my favourite; sausage was great, chicken was good, one piece was too salty. Nevertheless we plan on coming there again and will definetely recommend it to our friends.
The personnel were very friendly, accommodating and provided good service!
Heaps of food, great surroundings, great service, fair price for the amount of food. The only issue was the food was not hot when it came, only warm so it was cold by my 5th bite. Tasted good just not maybe hot enough. Not sure that can be fixed since l could see they took it off the BBQ and put it right on my plate and they had food runners. So all in all, good meal
It was very good. Brought our drinks with the appetizer so it was hard to enjoy the cocktail.
Beautiful setting. Only complaint is there were numerous mosquitoes indoors as the restaurant doors are propped open. Slow to be acknowledged for seating but server was great. Food is good.
Quiet ambiance and exquisite view of the canyon.
Only drawback was the open doors. to the outdoor patio from the dining room and we were swatting mosquitos through the entire meal.
Beautiful setting, great food! Would definitely go back!!!
Amazing restaurant. The view was incredible and the food matched. I would come back for sure
Beautiful view, food was really good, onion soup, the best, service was amazing :Henrietta was so nice. Great experience.
We had a fabulous brunch, sitting on the patio with the sound of the river as our soundtrack.
Henrietta was our awesome server - she was cheerful, attentive and fun!
Highly recommended but make sure to reserve your spot if going there for dinner.
Disappointed at the lack of safety displayed by staff. Waiters were not wearing masks properly (hanging on chin not covering nose or mouth), constantly touching face with same gloves they touched MULTIPLE tables with. Didn’t change gloves when they should have. Should be just washing hands between tables instead. Waited almost 30 minutes just for water and food came cold and whole dinner took almost double the time it should have. Great space just poor service.
Pulled pork was dry but the rest of our food was great
The smoked vegetable platter wouldn’t qualify as an appetiser (a few thinly sliced vegetables) yet it was on the menu as a main dish and cost $24 with no sides.
The trout was underwhelming. The meat platter was decent.
It took an hour for the food to be brought out and there was no beer of any kind (draught/cans) from the menu available.
Incredibly disappointing and expensive meal.
The service was good, it was not the servers fault that everything was out of stock and the food was bad.
Incredible food, incredible value, incredible service and incredible view !!!! I wouldn’t rate this as fine dining, however fantastic barbecued/smoked Meats and the best French onion soup. We just spent a few days in Jasper and we ate at evil Dave’s as well as the Raven bistro and Marine Canyon wilderness kitchen was by far better than the other two restaurants
As someone who grew up in Jasper years ago the beauty of Maligne Canyon was of course not a surprise. Some things, especially natural wonders, never change but the thought of eating at what was for decades a less than spectacular tea house was a bit of a concern.
Instead we were greeted by a stunning renovated property, brought to our table on the patio overlooking the rushing water and presented with a superb list of food and beverages that made ones mouth water.
The only thing better than the ambiance and the selection was the actual food. We ordered the platter and were not disappointed with anything there but must especially mention the Brisket, you won’t find better in any restaurant or home as far as I am concerned.
To top off a perfect evening the service by a lovely young Marie was nothing less than attentive and couldn’t really have been improved upon.
Other than the 5 hour drive from our current home in Calgary we would be back every week.
If you are visiting Jasper don’t miss it!
Paid way too much for bad tasting roasted vegetables. Place and staff were nice but that's it.
Wow! Wonderful dining experience on our visit to Jasper. This is a MUST dine on your next trip. Go early for an easy hike around the canyon, then enjoy a cocktail on the patio over looking the river fireside, or dive in to the amazing food from the smoker! Service was fantastic as well :)
Wonderful food with excellent service.
Loved being right beside the canyon to both see and hear! The food was good but the S’Mores dessert wasn’t as good as we’d hoped.
We are Jasper locals and wanted to try the new Sunday special of 50% off flatbread and wine, am now not certain that the discounts were applied.
Was a great evening for my wife and I as when we go anywhere we have a nite out at an up scale restaurant just to celebrate. The only complaint I have is our waiter had way too many tables to take care of both inside and out on the patio which cause a bit of a waiting time. Outside of that everything was great. Will recommend your restaurant
Amazing brisket and lovely service! Definitely a stop you have to make when visiting Jasper!
We totally enjoyed our visit there. It was a pleasant place. It has outdoor seating, we would have loved to sit there close to the water fall, but it was raining. We were there during covid they did a great job accommodating. We will be going back.
Great atmosphere, food was delicious, great staff.
Food and service was great! Must order the garlic parsley fries!!!
An awesome experience, dining in the mountains, after a short hike.
Absolutely Awesome !!! Food was well above expectation, atmosphere was great. Will definitely go back.
Spectacular, location, interior decor (patio in summer), menu, food, drinks, dessert! Just simply awesome, a hidden gem absolutely worth the short drive from town. Food was so so good!
Great place with good food at a reasonable price. We arrived Friday around five. No one has figured out yet that this place is open all winter now and it is a restaurant not just a tea room. The decor is upscale Rocky Mountain rustic complete with patio fire pits. We had falling snow and crisp temperatures making for a fairytale like setting. On Saturday nights and in the summer they have a full dinner menu. The lunch menu is upscale pub food. The garlic fries are the best.
We will be back.
We had lunch on a Monday afternoon at the Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen after our hike. It was the perfect spot to rest and recharge. It's such a beautifully decorated restaurant with very comfortable seating. Staff were extremely friendly and our food was delicious. We had the bison burger and chicken sandwich. Since it was Monday, sandwiches were buy one get one free. What a great deal! We would love to come back for dinner and see the place at night.
Such a great place to eat. Had our kids and another family and service was great. Will come back
Food was great, slightly cold based on my preferences. Veg platter was wonderful!! Great variety of sauces - nice flavours. Loved the decor of the place, well done!
