Service was very slow!!! . Food was ok but nothing that will make to come back. Dessert was not nicely presented.

The Miramar Hotel has been totally renovated and it is stunning. A great place for dining with so many options.
The rooms are quite expensive, but you can dine there and tour the grounds. They also have electric Vehicle charging stations, which you can reserve. No charge for parking.

We had a nice time. The bread was delicious. Our waiter Sean Patrick was very professional and everyone was pleasant and welcoming. In fact welcoming is the key word to our experience. We felt welcome and comfortable.

Piano music from the lobby was too loud for conversation even in the far corner of the restaurant. Service was confused. After waiting a while I waved someone down who was not very helpful, but took our order. Served bread and butter, but no plates although the tables were bare and only a plastic place mat. When I asked about that they said it was supposed to be an Italian style. After a while another server came and apologised that she didn't realize she was to be our server. Salad was not particularly good. Main courses were slow in coming but were all very good. Brought a wrong side course, but brought the right one quickly when I pointed it out. Our complaints brought lots of attention from the head waiter and I think the manager, and they comped a desert. The hotel and restaurant has been open only a few months. It is supposed to be high end and isoretty expensive. Maybe they will get their act together after a while.

This is a lovely restaurant in a beautiful property. On the positive side, several of the dishes were outstanding, especially the halibut ceviche and the cauliflower side. The service was very good (certainly a lot better than the early reviews). The ambiance, especially the outside seating, is beautiful and comfortable. And, it is wonderful to eat local. On the less positive side, some of the dishes were ordinary, including the roasted chicken and the spinach side. The prices are really high, and everything is a la carte. Nevertheless, it is a fun restaurant to experience.

Delicious Cobb salad, including the freshest, most perfectly hard-boiled eggs I've ever tasted. Adequate-sized portion. Excellent service. We would definitely return. Lovely spot.

Had a great time for my anniversary with my girlfriend. Would have liked a tad more recognition of the occasion, but other than that was great service. Was not happy that we were told to wait for a table to then have another party of two sat before us.

I would for the the ambiance alone.
There was a lot of back and forth with our order. It seems that for breakfast we had to create our own entree. For a California coastal venue we expected more options for vegetarians. Many vegetarians do not eat eggs. It would be helpful to have tofu on hand in place of eggs for then as breakfast options. Tumeric can turn tofu into look alike scrambled eggs. Vegetarians are very sensitive about getting protein beyond cheese. There are also many vegans who do not eat any dairy.
The waitress was very nice and tried to be accommodating. Our grandson bought his scooter and loved going around the grounds waiting for the meal to arrive and afterwards. My daughter wanted to buy him ice cream afterwards but had to wait until someone opened the internal privacy gate to get into the ice cream parlor near the pool. The ice cream was delicious.
Loved the amazing grounds and the ladies bathroom.

Food is far better and innovative than such a restaurant needs to be. Very fresh, very local ingredients, with imaginative combinations - like green papaya in the kale salad and some type of umami in the Cesar salad.

The noise level would have normally been low but that day they were building a wood platform for a large wedding tent. We were sitting outside that day. Love everything about the Miramar!

Kudos to Malibu Farm for a delicious plant based menu! Dog friendly to boot, with a pampered pet menu (with a veggie option for my plant based Golden. She thought she had gone to heaven, and so did we!

The hotel itself is beautiful, but there are no signs to lead you to the different venues. The restaurant was very noisy, to the point that my friend and I had to yell to hear each other. There are doors that lead to the patio and on a cold or windy day the inside tables are hit with cold air or wind every time a waiter needs to service the patio, which is often. Our food was OK, but certainly not remarkable. The crab cakes had very little sauce to accompany them, the quesadillas were not good. The one good dish was the cauliflower crust pizza. We would not want to return.

Not recommended for a nice lunch. Go to the Beach bar and get snacks.
Requested patio seating on my reservation but when arrived told it would be a 35 minute wait for an outdoor table.
Cafe is very loud. Could not hold a decent conversation with my partner across the table.
My eggs Benedict were cold and skimpy on the crab. Muffin too tough to cut with a knife. They need to do some work in the kitchen.
Service staff is great there and the hotel is beautiful but will not go back to the cafe.

Yes, I would recommend the restaurant to a friend for creative menus, but the ambiance is too noisy. It was difficult to hear my guest from across the table. And it seemed that we had to talk loudly to each other to enjoy our conversation. The tables for two were close to each other. I am sure they heard us because we could hear them.

Food is excellent, and the Rosewood Miramar an amazing location. Service was spotty, but I guess to be expected given the recent opening of the hotel and restaurant. We sat outside, and although the weather was cool and overcast, with the heater lamp we were very comfortable. Eating outside is preferable, as the noise level inside the restaurant is high and hard to hear any conversation from your guests if restaurant is busy.

The service was terrible almost unbelievable. The salads were very mediocre I don't mind paying for a good meal but all three meals at my tale were less than satisfactory. It's a shame because it's a beautiful place and one would expect the food to be equal to the surroundings.

Beautiful restoration of the resort. Very attractive bar and dining facilities. Major problem with noise in the Malibu Farm location - fix that and you are on your way.

Hoping this beautiful restaurant works out the kinks. The atmosphere was too loud, the service was beyond awful, and our food and drinks took a staggeringly long time to arrive. Two mimosas and a bloody mary should not take 45 minutes to arrive at your seat. Lots of employees (looked like management, as they were men in nice suits) were walking around but not actually doing anything. On the upside, the bread and the pancakes were delicious as was the crab benedict (just needed to be hotter)!

We are locals and were curious about the place. Possibly should have given them a 5 star review as everything was actually quite good and the whole Miramar grounds were a delight to stroll thru. Just the value I guess. The place is kind of beyond my means so it would not be a regular in out dining rotation. If I had deeper pockets I would be there all the time ;^)

The Rosewood and Malibu Farms recently opened, thus some adjustments are anticipated. Reservation requested outside seating, after arriving, requested again, one table found, but heat lamp didn’t work, so we sat inside. Servers not informed we were there - we waited (over 10 mins) had to request service several times. After we were served, our server could not be found. Although other servers were in the restaurant and nearby, no one checked on us. Plus restaurant was not busy. Servers did not seem to work as a team. We sat and finally had to summons a server to provide the bill and clear our dishes. While seating comfortable, restaurant was noisy - much too noisy for that venue (resort hotel near water). Food was very good, but menu quite limited and some selections (pairing) quite weird. Broader menu with similar healthy (organic?) food offerings needed, i.e. not everyone eats kale or shaved Brussels sprouts, as an example. Crisper more attentive friendlier service and better menu selection needed to support price and venue. Disappointing.
