Malibu Beach Grill is an award-winning restaurant located in Port Orange, Florida specializing in hand-cut steaks and fresh seafood. The menu is made from scratch daily. The dining room offers a polished yet casual dining experience, with a huge outdoor patio. The restaurant has won many local awards including best restaurant, best atmosphere, and best dinner restaurant.

The dinner menu features weekly specials, early dining menu before 6pm and a gluten-free menu. Lunch is available daily. The menu also includes chicken dishes, fresh pastas, sandwiches and salads. Entree options include filet mignon, baby back ribs, pork chop and surf & turf. Fresh fish choices include mahi mahi, grouper, salmon, tilapia, and more. Husband and I decided to try this restaurant in Daytona Beach. First time visiting this restaurant. Made a reservation for 5:30 and realized when we arrived it wasn’t necessary. Not many people there at that time. Seated promptly and server was attentive at first with our cocktails. Food order took forever We both ordered filets cooked medium rare. Mine was well done and dry. The sides were adequate in portions but my sautéed spinach was not hot and tasted like it was from a can. Manager gave us a $35 card to be used on our next visit. Doubtful we would go back to dine there but will use the $35 card for a couple of sandwiches to go.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re very sorry your visit didn’t meet expectations, especially with your filet. A Pittsburgh-style medium rare is cooked over extremely high heat to create a charred exterior, which can occasionally dry out if slightly over—unfortunately the case here. Ryan took immediate steps, removing the steak from your bill and offering a gift card equal to its value to make it right. While we always aim to go above and beyond, you seemed to be enjoying your evening—laughing and having a good time—so we believed it had been resolved. Ribs were freshly cooked and perfectly made! We always have enjoy our meals at Malibu grill. Highly recommend them for small or large parties.

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great as well. Everything came out hot and fresh and was cooked perfectly. Those mushrooms and firecracker shrimp I could make a meal off of just that.

This restaurant deserves more business on a Saturday night, based on ambiance/design, menu variety and pricing, food quality (for the most part) and friendly staff. Server Nick was very nice - drink orders and the food itself seemed to take longer than necessary, given the lower head count of diners. The menu was excellent in terms of choices and pricing. The boneless ribs appetizer in the Specials page was outstanding! Tender, tasty and lots! Adding one Side made it a meal. The fried asparagus was killer good! The snapper “catch of the day” was good not great. Nice size, cooked well but overly firm and a tough skin side. The decor, especially the colorful blown glass wall sconces and bowls, is very appealing. And the relative quiet, while due in part to a low turnout, was nice. The check total for four was pleasing. Give Malibu Grille a look - you’ll be pleased.

Six of us dined here last night. 2 who got a pasta dish and 1 who got grouper tacos enjoyed thier meals. My husband ordered the snapper and said it was very tough. Kind of like eating a tough steak. I ordered the ribeye well done with the Oscar topping. Unfortunately my steak was not well done and it did not come with the topping I ordered so I sent it back. I asked them to cook it more, but that apparently did not happen. They simply threw some crab meat on top And if the sauce they threw on there was béarnaise sauce. It was the wateriest sauce I’ve ever seen in my life. The steak was too rare for me to eat so I ate a few well-done bites around the edge and then packaged it up to take home as I did not want to send it back a second time. One person in our group is gluten-free, although her salmon was good. The vegetables did not come with the cheese as advertised. Overall, the evening was disappointing. I do not think that we will go back.

Suzanne, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I want to apologize to you and your husband for the experience you had with us last night. While I’m glad to hear some of your group enjoyed their meals, we shoot for every guest of ours to have a high-quality dish prepared for them, and it’s disappointing to know we did not meet that standard for you. The missing topping, along with the inconsistency of the hollandaise sauce and vegetable preparation, are not reflective of the experience we're aiming for. I do know that we recooked the steak to well-done and checked the temperature to be sure, but it shouldn't have left our kitchen at anything other than well-done to begin with. For the inconvenience, the disappointment and just the entire experience over all, I apologize.

I had the fish special and key lime pie and it was delicious! My husband had the biggest square of carrot cake I have ever seen, and it was served warm and was delicious!

I’m not normally a person who would complain, but we have extremely sub par treatment for our special Mother’s Day dinner. To start I was very uncomfortable when everyone around us was given a carnation for Mother’s Day. Our server ignored this and/or forgot. I kept thinking she would bring flowers, but not until paying the bill (I asked) she said that she was waiting for the bill to be paid. She never refilled water glasses She forgot to bring bread - we finally asked She never brought butter for the bread I should mention that this could have been excused if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn’t. Our waitress didn’t appear to have any tables, but ours so I’m honestly wondering if she was new. If so, it would seem someone should have been looking over her work. This certainly left an uncomfortable feeling for what I had hoped to be a special Mother’s Day dinner. My wife and daughter-in-law were uncomfortable, but wanted me to feel OK that they were treated to a dinner. I just wish it had been nicer. …………………………………………………………………. The next evenings; On a very positive note: Ryan - Assitant Manager reached out to me this evening (Monday) to apologize profusely for our experience. He showed true concern that our Mother’s Day dinner had been far less than we had hoped. He also wanted us to have a chance to experience what Malibu Beach Grill was intended to be. I must say that I appreciated him taking the time to gain the details and assure me and my family that this wouldn’t happen again. With his encouragement, we will return and give their restaurant a chance. Thank you Ryan for the effort to regain my confidence in your restaurant. We will give you another chance. The missed flower presentation, lack of attentiveness from your server, and incomplete table service are all unacceptable, regardless of how busy or quiet the restaurant may have been. We have never had a less than positive experience here. The staff are friendly and efficient. The menu is balanced but they tend to favor penne pasta. Nothing really wrong with that because the dishes themselves are delicious. The restaurant has been a stable fixture in Port Orange for years.
