   We were a table of 10 out celebrating Mother's Day. The food was excellent, our server very accommodating and friendly, and the moms enjoyed the mini champagne bottles we received! One of our favorite places to go whether we are celebrating something special or just pop in for a drink and an appetizer. Outdoor seating is dog friendly too!

   Food here is outstanding no matter what you order, was a little disappointed they were out of steak as that is what I came for but my second choice was just as good. Our waitress seemed a little short/crabby which usualy isn't the case here could have been having a bad day??

   I can’t say enough great things! Who goes to an Irish restaurant/pub on St. Patrick’s day!?!? We did! And so glad we did! The food was outstanding! The portions are HUGE! From the time we ordered, it was less than 5 minutes and it was steaming hot, on the table. The music was top notch, the drinks were great, and the value is perfect! Absolutely love this place, and will be back again!

    We had a quiet dinner with friends on Friday night. Our server was attentive and the food very good. I am especially happy to have tried the chicken buffalo salad (hold the buffalo sauce)! Very tasty and filled my need for fewer carbs. Please keep it on the menu.

    We were seated right away, but were never told we had to upload the menus, so we had waisted time. Food and service were good. We had a giant bug crawl across the table, no clue where it came from😞. We let our waitress know and her response was, "Gross, now I'll have the creep crawlies all night. Good thing you got it so I don't have to deal with it" and then continued with body language of creey crawlies and laughed. The overall atmosphere was ok, loved how the tables/booths were spaced out and you weren't right on top of another table.

    I go to Malarky's every time I come to town to see a show. I have something different every time. They never disappoint! My friend and I have said more than once that maybe we should try something else, but then we laugh and say "no, we love the food at Malarky's!"

    Our second visit after a few years ago was again delightful. The Bloody Mary was a meal by itself. I thought the Lobster Rangoon Salmon dish was quite interesting and the steakburger with melted blue cheese and mushrooms was enjoyable for my companion.

    Wonderful experience! Courtney, our server was amazing. The jerk chicken was outstanding, as well as the death by chocolate dessert. Service was the best we've had in a LONG time, since every establishment is short-staffed. The ambiance was perfect for our date night. Would recommend Malarkeys to everyone.

    I wasn't expecting more than bar fare, but WOW!, what a great menu selection at Malarkeys! Service on a Grand Theater sold out performance night was spot on also. Very impressed! We had appetizer of crab rangoon eggrolls, fish and chips and fish tacos. All were excellent! Drinks were good too!! Reservations highly recommended for a Grand Theater Show beforehand as several parties had a wait time too long to take in this wonderful establishment!

    I thought that my Mac and cheese could have been warmer. It was very cold, which made it not every enjoyable to eat. But other than that everything was very good. And I would definitely come back time after time.

    Really good food in a pub atmosphere. Not a tv loaded sports bar. City square connected without being in the crowd. Acoustic music background. Must visit when in Wausau.

    2nd time eating there. We started with the bruschetta, which I think is the best in town. My wife and I shared the fish and chips, large portions. The server timed the food perfectly and checked back on us numerous times. Highly recommend checking out Malarkey's Pub / Townies Grill.

    I ordered the pesto salmon, but because I'm gluten free, I got some kind of coating on the salmon instead. Unfortunately, the salmon was not good - it was raw/undercooked on the inside & the coating was all salt that it tasted like ocean water. The veggies were undercooked and had no flavor/seasoning. When I had come in previous months, I enjoyed the teriyaki salmon (gluten free). That was always my favorite.

    Sound was loud - but it was supposed to be, as there was live music on the square! Food was great . Service was very good but wait staff seemed a bit rushed, trying to get orders. On Wednesday, music on the block night, out door tables are for basically 2 hrs. So staff could relax a bit. Maybe they were short staffed? But interrupting conversation is a no no without apology to take an order. But, they were attentive, but, they might have check again for more drinks after clearing tables. Unless I missed it we sat there for 30 + minutes conversing and listening to music. We got check and paid earlier so I guess they assumed no more drinks.

    The food at Malarkey's is always amazing. We love to go when they have live music!! Between the delicious food and awesome music it's one of the best places to visit in the Wausau area for a meal.
