Great food and service and reasonably priced, tables are a bit small and restaurant is small, very cozy, a little noisy. Will go again.

As someone who grew up on Indian food, I am very finicky about Indian restaurants. Malai Marke offers a very nice menu that is prepared superbly. Their use of spices offers wonderful flavors without burning your tongue numb.

The fixed price lunch offers a broad selection of main courses and is served with generous portions of side dishes, rice and naan.

I absolutely love the the Rogan Josh, a North Indian lamb dish with a sauce to die for.

I called before coming in to ask if there was public wifi to use as a dined. I had work to do and wanted to bring my laptop and work as I ate my dinner. I went a far distance from where I was saying so I could have a nice, cozy dinner. I sat down and was told the wifi was not for customer use. I would have gone elsewhere if they would have been honest with me. That was extremely disappointing. I also asked for recommendations from the staff, I asked for something spicy. They recommended the basic vindaloo. I was overall disappointed with the experience but the food did taste good.

I have been here several times, just love this place. Food is so fresh and delicious. Their desserts are also good, especially Gulab jamun. Ambience is not great but more of a cute and cozy place.

Every now or then, I get a craving for tandoori chicken. In the beginning , this chicken was excellent but now it is hit or miss. When it is a miss, the tandoori chicken is over cooked and dry as well may be the naan. Stick to the other dishes which are quite good.

The food was spectacular. Find myself always ordering the Tikka Masala and Malai Paneer. The flavors are authentic, and the restaurant is more modern take on classic indian food restaurants. Beer selection was also quite good!

I reserved for 6 people for lunch -- it was a birthday. The "owner" was sour and unwelcoming the entire time we were there. We spent money and bought their overly expensive wine for $49 a bottle. Our waiter was pleasant and tried to protect us from the ogre, I think. It is a shame. because the food was generally pretty good, but we are not going back. Customers deserve better.

Delicious food and great value - We definitely had leftovers after ordering entrees! I also had the Rasmalai for dessert (it's my favorite) and it was one of the best I've tried.

Great meal, reasonably priced, $15 corkage is totally worth it.

There are many options on East 6th but I'm really glad to have this place in my back pocket. A delicious, lowkey meal, with attentive staff!

Our food was amazing. We brought family who had never tried Indian food before, and they loved everything they tried. Our only complaint was having to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time for a table.

The usher did not accept our open table reservation. He said he did not see my name on his system. When I showed him the confirmation I received through open table, he was rude & said I was making it up. There were few empty tables so we asked if we could still be seated & he said no & started arguing. After waiting half an hour, he finally gave us a table, while his partner was telling him "not to seat them" right in front of us.
Overall, service was horrible, food was ok, nothing special. The naan was dry & all the curries tasted the same.
There are so many good Indian restaurants in the neighborhood & won't recommend this place to anyone.

Great food, definitely try the Chennai and Southern Indian dishes which are different from the typical North Indian dishes you see at most Indian restaurants. The veggie Manchurian was great with white rice, and the naans were great as well. The tables are a little close together, and the service is either too much or too little but good place overall.

The portions where bigger than expected especially the rice, I personally had a very filling meal. The samosas appetizer was pretty good and the lassi was thick and much more sweet than it should have, excellent choice if I had gone devilishly spice. Chicken was tender and well spiced sauces creamy and rich a really not a bad find. Staff gave a few disturbing looks at us like they have never seen our kind before but nothing outside of a look, be warned I guess if you are easily offended by looks ( wandering eyes)

My friends and I ate there earlier this week. The decor was nice but the prices were high and usually at most Indian restaurants rice comes with the meal. We had to pay $15 for an "entree" of rice. The chicken tikka was super spicy and the meat wasn't great. It wasn't a terrible experience but I would not recommend going there and I would not go back.

Great food and it was prepared quickly. I really enjoyed the variety of options. They're very vegetarian and vegan friendly. They also easily accommodated a reservation for 10 people. My only con about the place was that they seemed to be in a rush to get us out of there.
