Makoto - Bal Harbour
Food was very delicious and fresh
The food is amazing super fresh and delicious. Especially the chicken dumplings and the Tuna pizza.
Like a fast food restaurant with poor service, but good food
Fabulous as always. Great food. Best sushi roll. And love the Crispy Tuna
The sushi was marginal at best. The men’s bathroom was filthy - even though our diner reservation was at 5:30 when the restaurant had just opened.
The bus boy kept on trying to pick up our plates even though we weren’t finished with our food. Annoying...
The food is always outstanding with very knowledgable servers.
Muy buena y excelente servicio
Eclectic and creative menu came with attentive service. The food was absolutely delicious. We loved this place.
Cel phone stolen from the dinner table
This was my second time here. The first time I was not impressed at all. Mostly due to the waiter. This time we sat outside which was lovely and dinner was very nice. Waiter not very knowledgeable of the drinks etc. Thankfully we can handle.
Poor service when it came to getting a table outside. We were told to way another 30 min, however there were empty tables available outside. They don’t care - flow of tourists never stops there.
Makoto is a very special place Everything about it is wonderful.
It was a birthday and I even put it in the reservation and it didn’t get acknowledged
This is the noisiest restaurant I have been to in my life. It really afecta the restaurant ambience and the dining experience. Food is just ok and it’s extremely overpriced.
Outstanding food - all of it. Cold apps (oysters, umami kampachi, truffle salmon), chicken dumplings, miso sea bass (like butter!), wagyu hot stone were all highlights. Passion pisco also amazing. Service was a bit slow, but we were fine pacing ourselves.
Did a mix and match sharing that was incredible. Loved being able to taste a little of everything.
good food bad service, terrible service in fact...
Amazing oysters to start, incredible toro tartare and one of the best wagyu I ever had. Service 6*
Can’t wait to be back ❤️
Over priced and food is mediocre ...
Remains my top choice for Japanese/Asian cuisine
Miami's sexiest sushi house is getting a bit old-in-the-tooth. Needs a reboot. Food still good, service perfunctory, no longer a special event. Just a moderately expensive night out. Be a good idea to reprint menus so they are clean and unbent. Not great first impression.
Moins bien que d’habitude mais quand même chouette
A beautiful place with a fast and tasty meal. The service is fast and they offer a clear explanation of what each dish is
Great service & Quality of food was fantastic and Management and everyone that works there was awesome
Amazing sushi! Great staff. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Pricey but it’s worth it!
Absolutely some of the best sushi in town. The wagyu beef cooked on a hot stone table side is amazing. There short ribs with noodles out of this world. The crispy rise OMG. This is absolutely one of my favorite places. 😎
Best quality sashimi/food in South Florida.
So good as usual! And service has really improved!
Alejandro was very friendly and professional, the food was delicious, but the noise and the ambiance...nothing in common with the japanese culture and way of being/way of eating.
Great experience. Food is great. Everything that We ate was delicious.
Best Shisito Peppers , Eggplant Robata , Lamb Chops .!! This is Not a special occasion place , but a casual place to hang out . Great flavors and good ambience !
This is our go to spot when we are in Miami Beach for at least one meal.
We love the menu. Such interesting choices, beautifully presented and oh so so so good.
Overcharging for drinks when we ordered them neat they added an additional $4 a drink just because we ordered it neat. And then the waitress asked us if we wanted to taste a sake which she was very vague about how it tasted she had no experience with information on Saks. They charged us to taste the sake, which was about a teaspoon. Waitress was always running away and we couldn’t order properly, fold was brought out all choppy and not in any order. We were not happy to be ripped off
Always amazing food and service. Very kid friendly.
De visita en Miami con la familia queríamos un buen restaurante japonés
RIP Makoto Quit the Hospitality place related to Le Zoo for the same reason We were seated on time and noticed staff changes only waiters no more waitress Ordered sparkling water and two Campari Spritz that arrived in tiny glasses watered down, full of ice Campari Spritz is served in large glasses Campari, Prosecco and a slice of orange Could pour some sparking water if wanted but not necessary The waiter started to argue that they measure bla bla bla If you become lame with the products that you sell you go seriously down in the hill so fast The restaurant was more than a half empty I requested to talk with the manager who brought the new version of Campari Spritz in the same glass, full of ice and room enough for water My response was that I did not want water in my cocktail on top of the ice Paid $ 16.50 for about 2 oz of a cocktail Guys you are wrong I do not go to places where they have no idea about hospitality Good luck They will charge you extra in order to make the cocktail right No more Le Zoo and now no more Makoto
Muy buena !
I had a birthday. I indicated this when booking a table. But the restaurant did not note this unfortunately. I'm not talking about any gifts, but even the words: Happy Birthday, it would be nice. The food is delicious. But the service would be better. Our salad was in a different plate with ice. And when we ate a snack and wanted to start the salad, we saw that the ice had melted and all the water was inside the saladWe changed the salad, but the fact itself was unpleasant. It was possible to make the salad after the snack, and not at the same time.
